Depends on where it's at. I recall a memory from childhood of a toilet in a really tall tree and thinking "I wanna use that." Unfortunately, that tree was too tall and lacked surrounding branches necessary for me to climb it. It was a sad day when the city said "We don't want those trees there we decided." RIP toilet tree. May you find use in heaven.

My cat wouldn’t say a thing, he’d come in the room know it was for him, jump on the tree to climb it and start hitting the baubles off the tree and hiding a collection of them. Then proceed to rip open all the wrapping on the presents. Then he would look at the dog and say “You’re going to get in so much trouble for that”

One of my old dogs loved scratching her butt on the tree. There were several times that we returned home to the tree on the floor. That kind of sucked, but was also pretty hilarious.

Christmas trees and cats don’t go together for several reasons, they can try to climb it, real christmas trees are poisonous to cats, so if they eat a lot of the pine needles they can get diarreah and what not, the ornaments often have strings which can get stuck in their intestines and such… To be fair, a lot of people have cats and christmas trees without anything happen but you know …. a lot of people don’t love their cats *Stares at you intently, completely totally seriously*

Yeah, my mom's cat decided that the Christmas tree was okay, but not the decorations. She came home one day to a bare Christmas tree and ALL the decorations all over the floor.

​@beaconofwierd1883 I'm glad you automatically assumed that he isn't using a cat safe artificial tree. Yes, they exist and can be found with a simple Google Search, along with cat safe decorations. I myself neither celebrate the holiday nor do I own any cats. I do, however, have dogs and when I decorate I take them into account. I don't automatically assume the worst of people, rather the opposite.🫤

Our cat climbed our tree and broke it. Broke so bad we had to replace it. She was a pretty big cat. Then we had a dog that decided he wanted to eat the Christmas tree lights. Pets and trees are a handful.

My kitten used to bat at the string on the presents. Clawed up a lot of gifts that way. He was a little stinker.

Cats have chewed through the lights and died to electric shocks. Those blinking lights had just too much appeal.

@@globalincident694 I'm not sure I understand your definition of alive in this context. Jesus died. Then he got over it. He conquered it. He had a body. He talked to people. He ate food. I assume he can still do all of that. Sounds like it fits my definition of alive, even if he's a more ascended version of alive than what you or I are. The only alternative to alive I can think of is dead, and I don't think that's a fair way to describe his current condition.

My dog LOVES opening boxes. When we get a non-fragile amazing delivery I set it on the ground and let her rip it open, it makes her day!

i tried to give wrapped toys to my dogs but they would always sniff it and then look at me like "you got me paper? what am i supposed to do with this?"
