The Polar Express is definitely a movie that exists, but this scene goes hard as fuck for no reason.

This makes the scene 10x better. I always like to imagine Free Bird being played whenever you’re in trouble and need to overcome a near impossible situation. Free Bird gives engines a new set of life and it can take you anywhere you set your mind to.

I remember the last time a locomotive drove on ice, 1998

The fact that the engineer in this can make that locomotive do what it does tells me he must have been running that thing since the day it was built. Not only is he able to operate the train as though it has tank treads, he can also resist the sheer amount of force placed on the Johnson Bar as he takes it from all the way in the corner forward to all the way in the corner reverse in a matter of seconds. This man should have been thrown out of the front cab wall the instant he set that thing in forward. He has more control over his locomotive than even the most experienced horsemen have with their favorite horses. If he can make that locomotive do what it does in this scene, he can make that damn thing go to space if he wants to. Sorry for the nerd rant, but I can't help but point out how damn badass the engineer from The Polar Express is.
