When Girls Do It is a 45-minute video examining the motivations of female sexual predators, the destructive effects of their actions on their victims, and the reluctance of victims to come forward. The most common offenders are relatives, with mothers topping the list, but it could be anyone such as baby-sitters, neighbors or teachers.
This documentary features compelling testimony and powerful interviews with survivors of abuse by female sexual offenders, therapists, and psychologists. The documentary delves into related issues including the long-held misconception that sexual abuse of children is exclusively a male crime.
This is a hard-hitting investigation of one of the most under-reported crimes in North America, as well as a provocative and passionate look at the motivations of women who abuse and the devastating effects of their crime on their victims. It underscores the urgent need for victims of abuse to feel secure in identifying female sexual predators in order to prevent countless other children from becoming victims.

I 100% agree! As there are some people/parents/women who will trust a woman (known or not ) with their children... you always hear people tell kids about the bad men , we need to teach them about bad people ! I get it, being a female and a mother I can’t imagine doing anything to upset a child let alone hurt them and as a woman/mum you want to think all females have this same caring, nurturing, protective personality but sadly it is not the case! There are female monsters out there and they do SA kids and if not themselves they help some pedo get access to kids even their own 😤😡🤬 Use your instincts parents and never trust anyone you don’t know 100% wouldn’t hurt them, anyone can get to your child so make sure your kids know what to look for and let them know that they can talk to you and tell on anyone no matter who they are, family/friend/ neighbour/teacher... teach them to know that no one should touch them in any way and not to be afraid to tell! Thank you for examining this subject. It's very common. Female sexual predators have very similar grooming techniques and are rarely suspected - it's extremely confusing and painful when this is done to a girl as well. A big problem is all the judges and law enforcement who are predators. They often give fellow predators a slap on the wrist.
@thebutterflybuddhas
@thebutterflybuddhas 10 месяцев назад
There's a documentary on RU-vid of a female who slept with a boy who lied about his age at 14 when the girl was 19. No foul play, no dramatic anything. She is on the registry for life and can't even go to the park with her own kids even years after the offense. Sex offender laws need to be narrowed down, just like other laws. Extreme cases like the video, sure, life in prison is good. But for other cases, it's too much. We don't put people away for life for getting in a fist fight and calling it murder. We don't put people away for life for having a single syringe of heroin and call them drug lords. Sex offenders needs more specific breakdowns of the crime and not just a broad blanket that treats everyone the same.
@miapdx503
@miapdx503 10 месяцев назад
@@thebutterflybuddhas the thing is, sex offenders can't be rehabilitated. Yes, innocent people get caught up, just as they do with other crimes...innocent people get accused of murder. Not sure what you mean by "narrow down" but the laws and punishment are not severe enough. Because women and children are not safe, anywhere. Too many judges, DAs, and law enforcement are offenders. They give each other "passes," a slap on the wrist, looking the other way...until sex offenders become terrified of the consequences, as victims are terrified, we're just not safe. I'd like to see a citizen committee that weighs in on these cases. If the corrupt ones know that their dirt won't stay in the dark, they just might have to do right.

Great Advice! Having been an ER/TRAUMA RN almost 40 years (now retired!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼) I truly wish more parents, extended or blended family members (Aunt/ Grandparents) would be as honest with their children/their family children. I think the most important thing you’re telling your children, is that they did NOT do anything bad (the other person did) as well as “I BELIEVE YOU! NO MATTER WHAT, ALWAYS TELL ME (or Grandma, etc)”. The child then has a great support system that they can run to, and lets them know THEY ARE LOVED AND BELIEVED, THEY ARE NOT BAD! You should work with your local schools or hospital ER’s, put together a program for kids.....you are very honest! I will be praying for you and your work! God bless and safely keep you, in Jesus’s Precious Name, Amen!🙏🕊💕💜✝️✡️🙋‍♀️🌹

I think we should teach our kids as soon as they start talking drill it into them,, may sound harsh but life is harsh. It’s repetition & it does get tiring but look at what happens if we don’t. Kids are our future & they should be cherished , not abused. God even says in His word better for you to tie a bolder around your neck & drown before hurting one of these little ones. That awful tragedy has happened in my family & it’s something you never get over kids & the moms, it’s gut wrenching. You could tell some very sad stories im sure. I’d like to thank you for all you’ve done for the good of people, it takes a special heart to be a nurse epically a emergency room nurse. I know I couldn’t do it But there should be different types of punishment , I mean found the clock reporting to somebody. It breaks my heart when people destroy our kids future, they are always innocent & don’t deserve any of that or to be taught that garbage in schools. My kids are grown but I have grankids nieces & nephews & I’ve taught them just like their parents to always tell one of us & they’ve done nothing wrong. God is keeping record of every harm people do to our little ones. Now 72, the abuse by (an always sober) mother started at the age of 3. My father was unaware, but every time I refused ‘her love’, she called him to beat me up for being ‘a bad child without an inch of love in its heart for his poor lovely mother’. Her friend a secular surgeon was also willing to go with her and he gave me medication and electroshocks to become a more healthy and lovely child. The abuse ended at the age of 6 and a half. She was afraid I could start telling my schoolmates about female genitalia. Those days most schoolboys did not even know about the difference between male and female genitalia. The rest of my life at home she tried in vain to make a homosexual out of me. Of course I never married nor had a girlfriend. I am diagnosed with CPTSD and Alexithymia. (Thanks)

But this is about women abusing young boys when most believe women don't do it at all. There's a reason it's about boys. It's far underreported and probably happens far more than we believe or have proof of. We know it happens to girls, doesn't matter whether it's by a woman or man. Maybe there's been too much focus on female victims and none for male victims, whether their abuser was a male or female doesn't matter. The point is, it happens to boys far more than we will ever know. Way to use your victimization to undermine abuse of boys.

Our climate change issue, as long as most of society feels there is no problem why should individuals recycle or shop wisely using items that are made from recycled material. Have an ice age hit then it is real. Health care is another. Take the opium crisis. There were pharmacist warning about the over issued scripts of certain drugs. No one listened now we have a crisis that has caused billions in lost wages, government pay outs. ALL without exception had issues bc of this, just as a girl would. And I think for a boy in it can be even more confusing in many ways- such as if they are abused by a male does it mean they are homosexual if they are aroused etc. It's also more taboo to speak openly bc the reactions are so lame, as you experienced. The victims I know all had issues with addiction, intimacy, depression, poor boundaries and so on. I hope that you are seeking whatever help you need so that you can lead a healthy happy life. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse by seven different unrelated (to each other, only one to myself) men I have a LOT to say about this subject. The first is to say that while I never suffered at the hands of a female I know *it happens.* We need to give space and support to every victim of female predators - as well as victims of male predators. Vile is vile, period. The second is that it is *absolutely imperative to stop* pitting abuse victims against each other as though our suffering can be quantified. Female victims experience JUST as much shame, JUST as much isolation, JUST as much normalization, just as much dismissal, and just as much lifetime stigma as male victims. It's just presented in different ways. A male child victim of a male pedophile is stigmatized as less of a male/effeminate if they speak up (as though being female is an insult - but this is the stigma) - a female child is forever seen as tainted, impure, dirty. A male child abused by a female pedophile is seen as coming into "manhood" early as though it is an honor to be abused, thus making them feel like they should be grateful for their abuse. Female children abused by female abusers are almost unseen completely. NONE of these situations are any better than the others. They're all equally awful. They are ALL under-reported. They are ALL under-acknowledged, under-prosecuted, and equally dismissed. *THESE MONSTERS ARE EVERYWHERE* Studies show as much as 1% of the adult population or more are attracted to pre-pubescent children and as much as 5% are attracted to underage children. Now understand that this number is greatly skewed in a child's circle of connection because pedophiles tend to find careers and/or hobbies and/or competitive sports that increase their exposure to and trust with children. Do your children know adults? Think...Teachers, friends' parents, spiritual or club leaders? It's a really uncomfortable subject, so many of us (survivors) never speak out and the ones that do rarely speak to the true depth or frequency that we experienced. The best advice I can give is to listen, give space and strength and support to anyone who confides in you, and do your absolute best to shed light on this truly horrific putrescence on humanity. Love, peace, and healing.

@@opmone5333 To catch an animal you do not have to be one. The actual problem has many moving parts to the machinery that keep these monsters among us. Children are disregarded, institutions that find them in their midst cover it up to save their rep, children are used as honeypots for blackmail, the subject makes people uncomfortable so no one discusses how prominent the problem is, and there is no cure for this sickness (literally, psychologically speaking) so there is no reformation, they don't do well in prison, which actually costs the prison more for things like extra guards and medical costs so they're often spit back into society as fast as possible, and so many more. Honestly, I'm personally in favor of life without parole with intensive psychological examination regularly and frequently for their lives and about their lives (the more we learn about them the better we can stop them) and they should be surgically rendered incapable of reproduction. The thing that's made the worst impact on pedophilia, honestly, is the internet. It allows them to communicate with each other, have access to materials, and it encourages exploitation for financial gain. If we lynched them we'd never find their buddies on the www.

I still remember the time when i was at a geek convention, we were in line for something i can't remember, but i was with my parents and a woman began to speak to both my mom and me a teen girl more spefcifically. My father suspected an adult woman was preying on me while in line, with how she kept flattering me, (he wasn't there the whole time to hear, but something went off in his head). Later she sent me a piece of jewlery from her and a note in the mail, I believe my father wrote back to her. I don't know what he wrote, but we didn't hear from her after that. It was weird for me at the time when she spoke to us, but I thought my mom would have alerted me to trouble. Well my mom never even thought about women preying on others till my father said something. I think I donated the jewlery.

This is a conversation that needs to be had, more people need to understand this really happens and stop excusing the women who do this. Imagine the absolute outrage if someone had the audacity to say to a little girl who was sexually abused "aren't you lucky" or "he's so good looking" why tf is that the acceptable response to the little boy? I wish I could tell each one of these men how thankful I am for them being vulnerable and opening up to the world about their abuse and how brave and strong each one of them are.

Not my story but the person im with had a lot of run ins with the women in his family and his step dad. His step dad started when he was 6-8, his mom would get drunk and walk in on him taking a shower tell him she liked the size of his pen*s and have him grope her boobs watched pornos with him that was 10-12 at 12 he started doing heroin and alcohol to help himself cope his mom would come party with him and his teen friends and strip for them. Then she met a new man sent him to live with his aunt 15-17 his aunt and her friends would get him and his female cousins high/drunk and then have orgies with them. He was an addict from 12 to 25 on heroin, meth, pills, fenty, & alcohol. He overdosed died 7 times and was brought back to life Im met him a 30. He is my rock and I am his he's relapsed but has been sober for 1 yr now. He started drinking again when his mom started calling him and begging him to come see her. She is a very well known Nurse Practitioner in Florida. Who just bought a small island where her and her husband go to drink and have sex parties. She came into town and asked my ol man to come see her at the motel without me it would be him, his stepsister, and her husband. He flipped out saud no he wasnt coming if i couldn't be there she said" tell Jamie we are having a family meeting" he hung up on them said its not a family meeting but would turn into a freak show. They didnt want me there because i wouldnt accept their type of fun drinking,doing drugs, etc. Hell no for one hes in soberity and two the trauma theyve already done to him

I believe it is imperative for children(regardless of the age of the child) of mothers who sexually abuse/d them be given a very real and informed choice about when, where, for how long and under what circumstances and IF they ever have contact with them again. Mothers birth us.. carry us in their wombs and for them to hurt us sexually is a deep abuse of a very deep bond. The hurt to that bond needs deep healing and understanding. It is so important that people have support from healing from sexual abuse by females. My heart goes out to all of those so deeply and inimately hurt by women.

Im so glad you guys are making this public. I have a very close male family member that was abused by a younger female family member. He was in elementary school and the family member had recently come to live in their home because because the caretaker was a severe alcoholic. When the sexual abuse happened it was discovered immediately and the offending child was immediately SENT BACK to the alcoholic caretaker before the crime could be investigated by the authorities. The offending child was NOT sent for. The abused male child had a small amount of counseling and the parents that originally discovered the crime downplayed the incident, believing that they 'took care' of the problem by sending the girl away. The mother was actually reported to say 'I don't think its possible for such a young girl to abuse an older boy. It can't possibly be her fault. How could it? She was SO YOUNG!' Baloney!

I'm so sorry for what you went through. 😓 It can brake you down more , not being believed . I was sexually assaulted by my stepfather the first time I realized it was him I was 9 1/2 yrs old . And I say realized it was him . It's because he would come in my room in total darkness while I was a sleep. So most of the time I thought it was a bad dream. But this time I knew it was real , I jumped up and ran and locked my self into the bathroom. He came to the door and tried to come in asking me if I was ok . He went back into the room with my mom , and I ran to the room my two brothers and sister were sleeping on the floor and climbed in-between them . The next morning I told my mother , Her response was to slap me in the face and call me a liar. And tell me I had better tell him I was sorry for saying that and hug him. I never told again. I am now 52 yrs old. About 10 yrs ago my oldest brother , who also sexual assaulted me . Committed suicide but few years before that he confessed to my youngest brother what he had done . And that my step father had also sexually molested him. The demons my brother carried around got to heavy and he killed himself. Then a few years after that my brother that's one year younger than I finally told me that my mother had sexually assaulted him when he was very young. My point in telling you this is . That I understand how you felt to not be believed , when it took so much courage to tell to start with. Stay strong ! I will pray for you . Lord God I pray for healing to begin , I pray you surround him with Your love , Guard his heart and protect his mind . Send him your peace that surpasses all understanding . For By Your strips we are healed. I pray this in the Mighty Name Of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior .🙏 Amen

When I was 17, I was sent from PA to Fl to babysit my 30 year old sister’s 6 year son. Upon arrival I found her in a sexual relationship that had begun when he was 16 & she was 29. My sister & I had both been raised by extremely fundamentalist, violent “Christians.” I knew nothing about the world & it took me awhile to figure out that when they went into the bedroom at night “to talk,” they weren’t really talking. Furthermore this bedroom was small & contained only 2 twin beds with 2 feet between them. Her 6 year old son was always “asleep” in the other bed. I was ridiculously naïve about sex; and no way could I even imagine she’d be having sex two feet from her son in the same room. When I finally put all the pieces together, I realized this was probably sinning ; but I had no clue it was against the law. In August I was told to pack up everything in the house. They were moving to California without telling his parents. I did not know it was illegal for a 30 year old woman to move a 17 year old boy thousands of miles, across state lines. In California she passed him off as her younger brother. I met him years later. He told me they stayed together a few years. He got her pregnant several times. She was a nurse in an operating room & would bring home surgical equipment to perform abortions on herself, using these tools & a mirror. Later she had an affair with a man who was married & had 4 sons. He divorced & married her. She joined him in the Seventh Day Adventist church. She became very strict religiously again. This new husband lasted a few years, until he shot himself in front of her in their kitchen. She eventually moved back to Florida & told everyone in her SDA church there that she was a childless spinster. She’s dead now. Left everything to the church.

I felt really bad for these male victims giving their testimony and felt like the woman did so much damage, until they got to the story of Emma, the 27-year-old teacher from Texas who had a fling with a 16-year-old male student. I don't feel like that story even belongs with the previous ones. The age of consent in Texas is 17 but if you're a high school teacher the student can be practically any age as long as he is in high school and still be considered a victim. One woman in Texas is in prison for having sex with 18 year old students. I can understand why the law needs to draw the line at a certain point but the terminology used in Emma's case was ridiculous and did not reflect reality. The terms "rape," "child" and "victim" were way overblown regardless of whether they fit with the laws as written or not. That's 16 year old young man may have only been 2 months or even 2 weeks from his 17th birthday for all we know. So if she quit her job as a teacher and waited those two weeks or two months or whatever it was then suddenly it would be legally okay and not a "rape," not with a "child" and with no "victim." In fact if that male student and his family had moved one state over to Oklahoma, Arkansas or New Mexico where is 16 was legal and she had gone there on her spring break she could have gotten a motel room with him and they could have banged the night away with nobody batting on eyelash. But because of geography, local laws and her career path she was convicted as being this horrible child molester. I can understand why she said she just wanted to play along with the program in order to get out of it. Because in the states next door it would have been totally legal. Something else to take into consideration is that if that same 16-year-old had molested a 3-year-old or murdered somebody those same authorities in Texas and the public in general would not be calling him a "child," they would be wanting to treat him as in adult in the legal system and throw the book at him as an adult.

I was told I was a dirty kid and if I wanted to stay in the home I had to keep quiet. I was told I was dreaming these things and they weren't real. Which made me think I was bad. I was told the devil would get me and the lord didn't want me cause I was gross. This was a women of authority to me.

I'm glad that this issue is being brought to the light. I'm a female survivor of sexualising anuse, but I believe that women offenders should receive the same sentencing as men, the laws should be changed, to accommodate the issue of non vaginally penetrative, otherwise they just go back to reoffending while still working with children. They should also be put on the child sex offenders list to be know as a child abuser. I hope the men in this documentary managed to find healing and were able to move forward with their lives and have found happiness.
