I really like Hikaru playing with normal people on street, he looks humble, its like a superstar of hockey playing with random dudes and fans for fun, really cool
You never gave up and never surrendered! We're so proud of you Dada! You played even better in Game 2 with the black pieces vs GM Hikaru today! And way to go Noah! Taking GM Hikaru to the bullet demon level! The crowd was going WILD for that! I think your chances of getting a date with Andrea Botez will increase a lot after she sees this game ;) But I think she's gonna want to see the Game 2 rematch first though on CC lol Thank you again GM Hikaru for making our little girl's wish come true! Dada will never forget playing you! And SO AWESOME to see you play bullet and PREMOVE IRL! Just too amazing to see! Don't know how you do it!!!
Hahaha that was a funny joke lol. Just a girl who is trash at chess doesnt have experience... I played a million of games so my mind is very fast the brain just pops out moves instantly. I think i maybe would defeat Hikaru but i live in Czech Republic xDDDDDDDDDD
@@abrahanpinedo its not a serius game, its normal, they are in public and she is playing one of the strongest players ever, probably strongest ever in blitz and bullet, they arent laughing at her, they are just having a good time, the girl did seem a little nervous tho.
Isn’t it a rule that he can use the pawn as queen if he doesn’t have enough time? I don’t know about that for certain. But I do no for a fact that you can use your pawn as a queen if your opponent if holding your queen in his hand and you don’t have an extra queen to use.
@@burt1216 Yeah I'm not sure, there was the recent video of hikaru reacting to a video on illegal moves in tournaments where players would hit the clock before promoting. I guess it doesn't matter here since it's just a casual blitz game
Feel like that might be a bit disrespectful. Remember GMs winning is expected. So the main point of these type of matches are to teach lower level players. And sure you can still learn something against bong cloud but it’s not the same
@@David-du4mj Coffee Chess made a comment on the previous video (at least a video before this) talking about the bongcloud and I'm pretty sure it was along the lines of saying that Hikaru should try it against them.
@@whoami5590 I am such a monster why did I just die laughing from your comment... it was just the most unexpected comment I could have imagined in the context
@Music Vibes But Golan is unbearable without audio turned off. His chess is high level but verbal diarrhea squeeky fake baby voice and lack of vocabulary is too much. Imagine if he chess wasn't brilliant, they wouldn't have him around at all. Dada on the other hand I will never miss play.
Its a tactic GM's use. They stay focused and calculate the best moves the opponent can make while it's on the opponents turn. That way when the opponent makes their move they have already calculated what move they should play as a response.
@@pastortroy4life this is just me thinking. Have they made an actual clock that's like connected by a long wire to accommodate all-left/right handed players? Coz imo having the time of the left when you're right handed is kind of a disadvantage (unless that's that point)
@@MhvkBx I don’t know if in official tournament it’s also done like I always do, but the tournaments where I always play the black player gets to decide on which side the clock is.
@@MhvkBx well if you start the game moving pieces with your right hand then you gotta press the clock with that hand. Same thing goes with the other hand so I think just pick the hand closest to the clock is ok.
@@Vivungisport By "everyone would do it", I do mean just that. If the Katara bullet championship was played OTB, everyone would be speed demons there if they could use two hands. It's a simple fact.
I'm trying to get back into playing chess and today I was able to win with 0.7 second left, still playing just 10 minutes as 15 was the format I was most used to.
Thank you Hikaru! You’ve probably given both Golani and Dada memories to treasure! In Dada’s games,… a certain kind of sweetness on both sides! Memories to treasure with the other players too. That game with Noah was wicked!!😊👍
Noah played tight, went for the tie game to start with, and was keeping pace when it came down to Hikaru's last 5 seconds. He had a fun light energy going into the game, just super refreshing.
I can relate with Dada. Sometimes, your playing good until that one move you missed, and after that you just play moves hoping your opponent will somehow mess up. It happens to the best of us, as she showed.
2:50 playing on one minute in this case isn’t really a disadvantage for Hikaru it’s actually an advantage his opponent is more comfortable taking time to move but the more time he takes the more time hikaru gets to strategize
you can tell in the endgame Hikaru's mind was going check, check, check, check, pawn, check, check, check, check, then its mate it was literally his inability to move at the speed of light that cost him time
One thing that I find terrifying about facing hikaru is the way he corners people, he thinks so fast and he takes it even further by only allowing his and his opponents thinking time to be during the opponents turn, since they'll both have equal thinking time no matter whose turn it is and the fact he can make good moves with even a little bit of thinking time
Such a joy to see a GM take the time to play 'regular' people, offer genuine advice after the games, and enjoy the companionship of chess. Hikaru, you have proven yourself THE true ambassador of the game. Whereas before I appreciated your god given skill and talent, I now appreciate your genuine character. I know these games are likely a one off event, but would love to see you drop by now and again. A true joy to behold, thank you. And my god the speed!
