Your videos give me hope to be a better mama. I don’t have much of anyone to look up to when it comes to being a SAHM. I never thought I’d be overwhelmed very easily. Today I was trying to tidy the house because I’ve been sick for 3 days and I unintentionally yelled at my kids and it made me broke down crying. That was minutes before this video was uploaded. So I thank you for this. I’ve been watching your videos since 2021 when you were pregnant with Molly and I can tell you that God showed me your videos as a guide to be a good mama. Thank you.

Hi Nadine/Mama! I'm not a mother, but would like to speak to you if that's ok. First, we appreciate you being honest about your struggles as a mom because I know it can be hard and a never-ending task. I want you to remember that while in this season of motherhood, your humanness will still arise and show itself, and that's ok because you are human. While your humanity doesn't excuse the yelling at your kids, it does provide context and helps you to give yourself grace because you will fall short. As your kids are growing, you are growing with them. Your also showing them what it looks like to walk with God through every moment of your motherhood journey. Invite God into those moments(maybe even allow your children to witness this) and be honest about your feelings, cry if you need to, but don't allow moments like those to keep you from trying because you will have more moments like those. Your children will still love you tomorrow and forever more. That one moment does not determine your entire journey as a mother. You have the next minute, hour, day, week, month, year to make a new choice. It's ok to mess up and receive forgiveness from the father and your children in this case. Sending love your way💗☺️.

We live in Kelowna and we can't farm at our home. But we joined financially with 7 other families and lease land. We grow summer and storage crops on 1/2 acre and it really has been so amazing to mix the worlds together (city country) We got 800 lbs of potatoes last year! You can do it if you want to! See if you can get together like minded folks and grow! Also, my husband is an acupuncturist and that could help you SO much with your eyes, and your wrist! I am an Orthodox Christian mother of 4 and home schooler as well! Thanks for showing the work we do and how important it is. All Glory to God for the blessings He provides! Even in our struggles and suffering he provides us with opportunities to lean more heavily on him. May the Lord bless you and your family!

As a homemaker living in an apartment in a city, I so appreciate your videos because we also rely on the grocery store and don’t have land for growing food. We’d love to be in a slightly bigger home at some point, but you said it perfectly: it’s meaningful to appreciate where we are now and cultivate skills to serve in the next chapter! 😊

I’m not a mom, I am a social worker and work with kids, but I still want to give you encouragement ! You are doing just fine, every huge change needs a period of adjustment and I am super sure you will be able to get your energy back and be the homemaker and mom you want to be sooner than you think. Also I want to calm your nerves by saying that your kids don’t need everything perfect, us women something are very ambitious when it comes to providing. The most important they need is love anns cuddles and I have no doubt that they get more than enough of that from you. Blessings to you!

“The Lord gives me wrist pain” As a fellow Christian mama, I would ask you to make sure that’s biblical. I could be wrong, but I am of the understanding that God is the source of goodness and holiness, and can bring goodness out of suffering, but is not the source of suffering. I hope I don’t sound judge-y 😅 I know you study the Bible daily, and care about it a lot, so I thought it might be worth bringing up?

I love the idea you brought up about preparing yourself as if what you didn't have was something that was coming... I, too, get very caught up in that feeling of self-pity that I don't have everything that I think I would need to be a good Homemaker. Thank you for reminding me that you can be a Homemaker without having "it" all.

This was an amazing video - love your thoughts and self-awareness. I moved onto my "farm" at age 44, and it's such an incredible amount of work, there's no way I would have wanted to tackle that when I was raising my kids and homeschooling. I would have felt pulled in so many directions. If it's truly your desire to have land, eventually you may get that, and you're so young, it won't be too late for you to enjoy all the blessings and challenges it brings! In the meantime, what you've created for your family is wonderful and inspiring!

I appreciate your mentioning how hard it can be to live on a farm. My husband and I planned to homestead, too, and when we got a taste of it on his parent’s property, I realized with alarm that I couldn’t handle it in this season of babies and homeschooling. Maybe chickens and a patio garden would be fine, but taking care of the children, the meals, and the house currently is all I have in me - and truly, that’s a lot!! 😊

I woke up this morning thinking about a part of this video, which I watched yesterday. 😊 It was about being able to plan the flow of our entire month by being aware of our cycles. I’m so pleased to hear you bringing this up to ladies, because I wasn’t really made aware of it until the last couple years, and it has been life-changing!! 😆 This topic would probably be great for its own video. I healed my mommy wrists and hopefully this advice might help you. Long story short, I came across a podcast talking about the mind-body connection and how our nervous system can create pain in our bodies when we are stressed or anxious. We are not actually injured - even though we physically feel the pain - it is just a response to distract us from our feelings of stress. In order for the pain to go away just continue daily life and ignore any pain sensations. Try out different methods of calming the nervous system, like meditation, yoga, breathing techniques, journaling, etc…whatever feels right for you. I know this sounds a bit simple, but I did this after a year of pain and after a week or two it was GONE! I hope this helps you or someone else who needs to hear this✨💕

This is such a beautiful video! It irritates me to no end the number of people who tell me I'm lazy because I'm a homemaker and homeschooling Mama. I am running circles around my entire family at all hours of the day; making and cleaning meals, cleaning messes, starting or finishing projects (home or school with kids), preparing for the next day, week, what have you. I don't know how anyone can say a homemaker is a lazy person.

Also- the unspoken pain of tendinitis! We are all so aware of all the child-birthing stories, but I am shocked at how no one talks about having mom’s thumb. Such an important topic. I can definitely feel with you not have any land. I would miss my yard and garden so much if I didn’t have that! but yet I’d love my husband working from home or a new kitchen. But in most of our lives we have wonderful blessing that we can take for granted because we keep looking to the next thing we’d love to have! Over 10 years of living in quite a few different situations I’ve learned there is always good thing and bad. But even in the good things we dream of there is negative or hard things that come with it. We will never find perfect bliss on this side of heaven. Remembering that has helped me find more contentment in the middle those hard things or in those thing that are not quite the way I wish!

You have a blessed life. I enjoyed this video. I’m older and my kids are grown. I wanted to be a homemaker, but had a very messed up spouse and wound up having to be a single mom and work constantly while my mom took care of my sons.

Have been watching you since 2019! Crazy to see all your kids being so much bigger now. Thank you for inspiring me I am a SAHM as well but recently we had to move back to my parents house and leave our home and it took a toll on me. It’s hard to cater my home when my mum is present. I struggle a lot but you gave me strength so thank you! A time will come when I will appreciate the struggles I went through and the things I learned. (We want to purchase a big land as well haha!) so please keep going mama! We missed you around here x god bless you proverbs 31 wife🤍

Oh my goodness, I was shocked at your hand issue - I'm currently dealing with daily pain in my hands, mainly right hand (mamma of 3, 3 and under). I have some sort of a chronic tendonitis in my hands and wrists and it's becoming bigger and bigger issue...I dropped my home sourdough business, selling goats, (milking them started my issues), and praying for strength for my working husband, who has to pick up so much of my slack...it has been very difficult. I will be praying for you, I can definitely relate.

After I bath my son and reset the kitchen after dinner, I go into a room a stretch for around 10 mins. It makes such a difference to my sleep, and feeling of well-being the next day. My family have gotten used to me doing this.

If your wrist pain is Dequervain’s Tenosinovitis, what really helped mine was a wrist brace. I went to chiro and physio and did all the exercises, but what my wrist needed was rest. It got better almost immediately after I started using the brace.

Ben Greenfield talks about homeschooling his kids. He hired a governess to help with the organization and teaching for his kids. He would be a great resource to look into for homeschooling inspiration.

Hi Sarah, about your eye aches I know that problem (I currently study for a Masters in international law). I used to get bad eye aches and migraines. A pair of blue light glasses were an absolute game changer for me as well as taking a moment every 45ish minutes to blink slowly a few times. When looking at a screen put eyes sometimes don’t blink fully and they basically get dry.

I was literally having a hard morning and then saw this video come up. Everything seems so difficult, having no motivation. It all kind of crashed after so many good days this week of getting so much done around the house and making good money. I'm all burned out and can't even do a good workout. I'm about to watch your video...🙂
