My great grandfather served in the pacific. He was with the 77th infantry, 307th infantry regiment, A company. He was nearly killed twice, once was on Okinawa. By the time he got out in December of 1945, he was a S/Sgt, and was awarded the bronze star with his CIB.
Thanks to all the Johns who went far from home to those who eventually returned and to those who could not. Be it 1775, 1861, 1917 or 1941 and others. You are heroes forever.P.S.With love from Ukraine thank you for your help thanks to you our guys as well as John can return home.
I fucking wanna see America patriotic and proud just like in those times, no lgbt, antifa, blm, femmenism etc... You have my respect folks, greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷🤝🇺🇲 ❤️

@@genralanthony3725 Thank you my friend. You dont need to worry too much because i am a positive guy. I beilive that soon something good will come because every day you see only negative news like "burning churches, protests, much criminal and war".... Like "the more it becomes wroser the more we are close to something very great".... may God have mery on us and make that day become today. Amen.
My great-grandpa technically served, but he never saw combat. I think he enlisted or got drafted in 1936 or maybe 1943. Even though he didn’t serve in combat, I just know he served and wanted to help.
for some reason I feel like i'm gonna be killed for this, but Imma go through with it anyways. The way citizens in America do see it as a bad place, but the actual army and defense budget are through the roof, and I don't want to be Bias, but not many countrys stand to GLORIOUS AMERICA
There was a study and basically every generation from the 1850's up until today thought "America was in decline" but in reality it's not. We're still a trade superpower, we have no domestic threats and we project our power throughout the world. Time keeps on a ticking and life goes on and maybe the internet shows you a "bit more" but life is life.
Those people fought against Nazism,I have nothing but respect for the soldiers of ww2. If only they could see what their government is doing now. Invading Iraq, bombing Syria and ruining their own economy by supporting Nazi militias just because a different country decided to go invading. May they all rest in peace those American troops who never came home and died to take down Hitler's regime.
My great grandfather he was a tank driver in ww2 he blew up german bunkers and maybe a tiger idk but he did survive along with my other great grandfather who was in the pacific a grenade landed next to him and shrapnel entered his leg so he couldent walk and the only food source was bananas after 3 or 2 weeks some troops found him and took him back to base after the war he hated eating bananas 😂 they were great soldiers i would say
1607 Jamestown was founded, 1776 declared independence, 1812 defeated the British again, 1846 we invaded Mexico and won, 1861 the civil war ended, 1912 the Wild West ended, 1917 the us entered ww1, 1941 the us entered ww2
Im surprised there isnt a version of this song with lyrics about the second world war, I can even think of the first two verses I just need a band and a choir.
here the lyrics When johnny comes marching home again Hurrah! hurrah! We'll give him a hearty welcome then Hurrah! hurrah! The men will cheer and the boys will shout The ladies they will all turn out And we'll all feel gay when johnny comes marching home! The old church bell will peal with joy Hurrah! hurrah! To welcome home our darling boy Hurrah! hurrah! The village lads and lassies say With roses they will strew the way And we'll all feel gay when johnny comes marching home! Get ready for the jubilee hurrah! hurrah! We'll give the hero three times three Hurrah! hurrah! The laurel wreath is ready now To place upon his loyal brow And we'll all feel gay when johnny comes marching home! Let love and friendship on that day Hurrah, hurrah! Their choicest pleasures then display hurrah, hurrah! And let each one perform some part To fill with joy the warrior's heart And we'll all feel gay when johnny comes marching home!
