You are wonderful and compassionate human being. The effort and exhaustion you experienced because you are trying to help people can cost you your health, which you have tried so hard to restore. So this NY I want to wish you health, vitality, energy, patience, and restoration. Be well Neal. Take time for yourself to recuperate. I know this video was from a while ago, nonetheless, this is an easy pattern to fall into.

I can totally relate to this..! As a student, I get to hear that since I'm still young, I should be able to be in front of a Webcam for a few hours everyday... it's so much more draining than taking a seminar in person!! Great video, I think it's totally fine that you're taking care of yourself first by scheduling less videos or whatever you need.

Dear Neal, for so long I have wanted to write to tell you how much the library of your videos has helped me, but knowing that you must be inundated with E-mails and comments, I never wrote; however, here is my chance. I too experience computer anxiety and malaise, after years of computer work (self-employed also). I shall never forget the first time I used a computer (1995), how bright the screen was to the degree that it affected me much the same as trying to look at the sun, and how unnatural the whole process of sitting in that glare and using the keyboard felt to my whole body (my body was forewarning me!), so different from a typewriter or word processor. So many mental and physical illnesses now have roots in technology, and yet here we all are on RU-vid seeking help through our very oppressor. Regarding the Infinity Walk, I have been practicing daily for over 20 years. In fact, some of my testimonial is often quoted in Ms. Sunbeck’s books. I can also tell you that my father lessened his Parkinson’s symptoms using the Infinity Walk, which ultimately proved better than medication. Again, I thank you for all the help you have given me through your videos, and I wish you the very best of EVERYTHING in 2021!

Thank you for the wonderfully insightful comment, Mary Jo. Very cool about the Infinity Walk book. The next PRI symposium is about Parkinson's and syndromes that involve the basal ganglia. I'm actually a speaker at the symposium because dancing can help with PD and I've taught dancing for 15 years. Regaining a "rhythm" to our walk, as explained in the book, plays quite a prominent roll in PRI and all the issues I discuss on this channel. Hope you have a great 2021, too!

Thank you Neal. Happy New Year. You have been here for us and we are here for you. As you always say- LET GO. Is it not what you have been telling us?;)

Hi Thomas. I've been contemplating what I still need to "let go" of, and there are definitely a few things. Typical family relationship type issues. I truly believe the year of Covid "tension" is the underlying current that all our lives are floating on which tends to make small issues (under normal circumstances) much larger. Hope you are well.

Hey Neal I was really frustrated and tensed when I saw this video , I am a 20 yo University student who has been dealing with the symptoms you mention in your video especially the right side neck shoulder and face pain..it made my life a living hell when it started happening back in August 2019 from then till now I had no actual clue why this was happening to me..i went to few docs everyone said different things but none of thier medicine worked and made my symptoms worse..I was actually preparing for my college entrance (which I failed because I wasn't able to focus on my studies due to severe pain in neck and shoulder)I was also away from my home so I was really alone and had no clue what was happening to me ..I developed severe anxiety..I just wanted to feel normal again ..my parents were spending lot of money on my coaching so I was really under pressure and felt guilty about not being able to study..I shared my problem with them they told me to visit the doc and I did that but did not felt any better... After going through lot of RU-vid videos trying to understand the cause of my pain trying all different type of excercises (spoiler alert nothing really worked for me) your videos has made the most sense to me especially the vision disbalance thing which I felt but was not able to describe exactly and no doc around me had a bit of clue of pri and imbalances..I am from India and I don't think anyone really knows about pri here not in my city at least ..just wanted let you know that if I get better it would only be because of you .. I am doing these excercises for 2 days now and can't tell much difference right now but I am full of hope..so if you ever in your life feel down just remember you gave hope&life to a boy in india who can't thank you enough for this.. always remember that you have friends miles away from you because of the work you are doing.. sending love and prayers from India ♥️♥️♥️

I'm really hopeful that rehab professional is India start to take PRI seminars (although I realize the expense involved may be prohibitory). The techniques on my website can definitely help. Just go very slowly. Get the breathing correct. Don't think of the techniques as exercises, think of them as meditations that allow you to feel your body differently. Good luck!

Has PRI done any studies/evals on where the sense of hearing fits in? Regarding patterning, overall body tension, etc.
@NealHallinan
@NealHallinan 3 года назад
It can be involved, but it's not discussed too much. We do tend to over-process sound from our right ear because it has a more direct route to the speech processing centers of the brain. In effect, it's faster. That's why putting an ear plug in someone's right ear can change their tests.

Yeah, I feel you. Sitting is killing. Did you try standing or, better, treadmill desk?
@NealHallinan

I have not. Sitting isn't really problematic for me. For many people it is, though.

I too have had similar issues my entire life, I can remember the symptoms in very early childhood well. It affects my vision, hearing, speech, eating, breathing, etc. I tried Cephaly, an electronic stimulation of the trigeminal nerve, it has helped with relief in all those areas served by that nerve, I believe it helps to desensitize this nerve when it's overactive. I can immediately breathe easier and my eyesight is better after treatment, as well as the tension in my face appears decreased.

Hi Derya! That’s how I was controlling the tension before I thought about using the earbuds. Do you have Zoom issues?
@deryadptprc

@@NealHallinan yes I notice tension with zoom and with phone and computer use in general. Getting outside always helps, which makes sense since that’s what is humans were designed to do 😊

I've noticed a correlation between eating high amounts of refined sugar and the ringing in my ears getting worse. I have a gluten sensitivity also, but hadn't noticed an effect on the ringing; I'm going to pay more attention to that now. I've read in numerous places that the side affects of a food sensitivity are due, at least in part, to an increase in inflammation in the body, so it does actually make sense that it could make something like tinnitus worse. Edit to add: not that I have a "high amount of refined sugar" sensitivity, but refined sugar has been shown to increase overall inflammation in the body
@NealHallinan
@NealHallinan 3 года назад
That's interesting because I haven't felt much difference with sugar and or dairy, but definitely from cooking oils and gluten. There is definitely a link between inflammation and tension, which is what we are obviously trying to lessen.

Dont listen to neal about lower back advices, the key to fixing a terrible lower back and sciatica is doing 'hollow holds'. Neal i wish you well
@yasenbonev7879
@yasenbonev7879 3 года назад
Not a good idea to opinionate people like that, what works for you, might not work for another, so your experiences are not objective and might even harm someone if he/she is not ready for what you propose. Just something I've realized, believe me I get where you're coming from, will try hollow holds though.

First I have to thank you about putting all the pieces together about left IAC. And then I would like to recommend you another book: CPTSD from surviving to Thriving, by Pete Walker. It is about childhood trauma, and at least in my case, I realized left IAC had a lot to do with the abuse I experienced as a child and that was stuck in the body. Hope it helps. Also, EMDR Therapy (bilateral stimulation) worked wonders for me. It's similar to what you read from that book... 😏
@sirjohnahayfalcon

You need ' hollow body holds' not neals chatty advice
@NealHallinan
@NealHallinan 3 года назад
Thanks for the recommendation, Luciano. Trauma is a huge driver of the patterns we discuss. That's why I constantly say that PRI is about way more than "muscles and bones". I know this from my own personal experience. I'll look for the book. EMDR is interesting and I'm aware of it. Interestingly, I've often thought about PRI as a form of EMDR because when you are patterned (particularly with the Right TMCC or bi-lateral TMCC) your eyes stop "alternating" and to a degree can get "stuck" in a "pattern" of usage. In particular we lose peripheral awareness of the left side, and behind us to the right. Once your body can truly shift and rotate from side to side, your "blind" spots become recognized again. So side-to-side eye movements will become normalized again because your neck/head are now rotating appropriately.
