When love is stronger than ALS: Lynn Hogan’s story 

I just found this and it brought me to tears. I have ALS but it's still in the early stages and the amount of work my wife has to do because I can't is amazing. You are an angel and an inspiration.

Hi Lynn, I completely understand and feel for you, because the neurologist had diagnosed my husband with ALS on 12/30/19. He's currently losing some muscles. I'll be my husband's care giver and wife. Lynn, you have done an outstanding job, taking care of your hubby. This is our true testament of the wedding vows, "in sickness and in health..." We just have to take one day at a time, because we really don't know what tomorrow will bring. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, and today is a gift. So enjoy this gift today. Hi Lynn, you and I share the same story. I met the love of my life in July 2017. He started having symptoms in November of 18 and was finally diagnosed in Dec. 2017. I felt the same way you did. I would never leave his side. We married on Sept. 1 2018. It is a scary and sad journey you and I are on. I just wanted you to know you are not alone.

I am a respiratory therapist and work in home care. Unquestionably, both those with ALS and his/her family are amazing souls. There are no words to describe the dedication and love that these families have for each other.

I got diagnosed with ALS last week I can image the pain and feelings ppl have for their love ones. You’re amazing to be and help 24/7 the man you lived most. Hugs and lot of love ❤️ irfan

Im in the same spot, but im the one with ALS, my girlfriend left me she couldn't take it anymore. Ill have to deal with it alone. Congratulations for you bravery, god bless you ❤

This brought me to tears because I am also a caregiver to the love of my life who has ALS. Also like you, I fear the day he is no longer with me, and my heart goes out to you. It is so very hard and probably the hardest thing to watch a loved one go through. I wish you all the best, and you are an earth angel. ❤

I was diagnosed with ALS a month back.. And i still dont know what to say avout it...except that i see my weakness coming on me each day....stronger and stronger... I hope for a quick death..🙏

I would want to be put to sleep 💤 if I had this disease. It gives me so much anxiety just to watch these patients. I give them a lot of credit for toughing it out though.
