No one is better than chess engines. Even the weak ones are above 3500+ these days. And stockfish is like 4000+. But for computers, ELO gets calculated differently. If they were rated like humans, stockfish would be above 5000. And magnus barely touched 3000. The difference is night and day. To stockfish, magnus would be someone who just learnt chess. So no, he is not better than engines. That simply is not possible. If god played chess with stockfish, stockfi would probably manage to force a draw one or twice. That's how powerful it actually is.
I would try to fill your brains with the data that magnus bot drew full strength stockfish 10 times out of 10 when white. I can't, because you don't have any.@@obi-wankenobi5411
TLDR Magnus gets a win rather than a draw despite having only a king and a bishop, despite Alireza being three pawns up in an opposite color bishop end game. This is because checkmate is TECHNICALLY possbile, even though extremely unlikely at GM level. Alireza also calls Magnus's conduct into question because he alleged that him swearing at himself in Norwegian was done deliberately to distract. The word "cheating" is never used at all other than the clickbait title
The checkmate possibility was not just extremely unlikely at GM level. It was almost impossible at any level as even white had to throw everything so hard. In short, both sides had to work together for the checkmate
I think he got caught up in all the excitment and was so determined he was going to win he couldnt believe otherwise. But if it should of been a draw or not is not for me to say
Clock ran out, white lost. That's it. If it truely became a stalemate, then that would've been declared. But there were pawns and bishops still in play so the game was still playable with either side potentially winning. So the clock time is the deciding factor.
To call this a cheating accusation seems a bit too strong. Magnus was accused of violating a rule regarding his behavior during the match (an accusation that doesn't hold up). I would think cheating implies getting outside help, or sneaking a piece off the board or something.
Magnus magnus’d because Magnus magnuses to el magnum for Magnus which magneses Magnus to Magnus the Magnus with magnusing, and magnuses the Magnus, which Magnus wins. Basically, gibberish.
@@ai_singularitybro has been winning tournaments left and right, so can u plz tell me who these "bigger fishes" are?? Btw, who was it that won the last rapid, blitz and fide world cup championship?? I kinda forgot🤔🤣🤣🤣
The gameplay really doesn’t matter tbh magnus is just too good at chess and it doesnt even matter if he beats stockfish the way this guy plays is beyond human comprehension and i mean that.
it's not bizarre, if Alizera won would he bring up Magnus swearing at himself? No he wouldn't, he would say ah that's no problem, but now that he lost on time, now all of a sudden it's a problem?
My take.... MC shouldn't be cussing, AF should have been calmer in the endgame, even under time pressure (as he is nowadays, with a bit more age and experience), getting flagged and losing is the rules so I guess the reality of MC having a lost position and winning rather than drawing is just tough shit. AF will and has learned and MC doesn't seem to have such histrionics over the board these days either.
Magnus always showing to the world his talent! December 2023 he won 3 big championships ❤champions chess tour, 200k$, rapid chess 60k$, blitz chess 60k$👏
is hard to tell but theyll have either someone watching and tell them which one to move or a vibrating thing hidden in there clothing or shoe from what ive heard
Sorry super ignorant when it comes to chess. But I thought Alireza lost on time ? Period, end of story. How did the focus suddenly shift to whether it was a draw or win based on 'if it was possible for magnus to win'? So if a player loses on time, they don't actually lose on time if there's no way their opponent could have won, in which case its a draw -or- or if a player loses on time and they do lose if their opponent could have technically won?
I believe the way these rapid timed games work is that each player has a set amount of "thinking" time on the clock to use (eg. 3 mins each) and if the game hasn't been won by either player before they run out of thinking time (ie. by 6 mins) then they determine the winner by extrapolating the final position of the pieces. If they both still had options for winning moves then it's a draw, which is what Alireza probably expected... but in this case there was _technically_ a move that Magnus could have made to checkmate & win. So Alireza didn't lose by running out of time, he lost because Magnus had a potentially winning move ... albeit a contentious move that Magnus may not have even played since it wasn't GM-level gameplay. If the arbiters hadn't considered the potential winning move then it would have been declared a draw & neither Alireza nor Magnus would have lost.
A few days ago a youtuber named yusuflows made a video title ‘Why Mcyum abandoned his audiance’ Where he talks about why he abandoned his audiance and showed some of his other channels like Mallow,Dr Insanity etc and this channel and people have flooded into these channels comments to say stuff like these
The shouting words in Norwegian is the cheating accusation... (Cheating: To act unfairly to gain an advantage). Obviously it's bs, because Ali thought he could win, but he did accuse him of cheating.
I think FIDE needs to change the rules of flag down with material. I'm thinking that flag down in GM vs GM with obvious win if not flagged down is a draw. Forced Self-mate will """NEVER""" at GM vs GM scenario. you can use the old rule to non-GM game, but not in this level of tournament. FIDE rules needs to redefine.
really, giving up the pawn on b5 wasnt a blunder, it got the king away to clear the middle. But when he moved his e2 pawn up to try to keep it is the blunder... If he hadnt done that he would have won(unless he lost on time), but even then he still would have won if he had taken pawn on eg with his king instead of pushing the e5 pawn
The argument that this was a draw, because it's allmost impossible to checkmate by Magnus in this position is bullshit. Thats why we need time rule. What if a person have 5 different moves, that all obvious for anyone over 1000 elo that leads to checkmate in one move, but he run out of time? How should we avaluate this? A draw, or maybe a win for a dominant position? In my opinion even if you have only king on the board and other person can't checkmate you and run out of time, it should be your win. But rules are rules, everybody play under the same conditions.
Alireza is in the right though... in this situation, there's no forced checkmate for Magnus, but he didn't lose either henceforth it's a draw due to insufficient material.
Shame to see Alireza being so pitiful. He doesn't need pettiness like this. He's more than strong enough to just win another day. Maybe not against Magnus, but... Still.
