Ideally don't want to come off as a hater, and it's nothing personal, i just don't really care for Tom Holland. He seems alright, though, i just didn't really dig his Spiderman. I was more down with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
@@mikeadams7904 to be fair, at first i had my reservations about Andrew Garfield, like he should look more like a nerd, a bookworm. And well, present time Garfield is my favorite Spidey. Also i grew up with Tobey Maguire soo.... But yeah, i wish they get the right actor for the role and STICK with it. I heard Dr Doom(my favorite Marvel character) is going to be in this upcoming Black Panther film...i can only keep my fingers crossed it's nothing like that 2015 reboot Doom OMG SMH. 🤦
Honestly I don’t understand Tom hollands fame and never will. Like why is he so famous for no reason? He hasn’t done any good movies, he’s really not that attractive, and I just don’t think he’s a good actor in general. He’s famous because what? Young girls are thirsty? Or is it cause he’s dating zendaya?
@@davidflorez1196 dude I think you missed the point. Nathan Drake is 47 years old Mark Wahlberg is 52 Tom Holland is 27. It would actually make more sense for Mark Wahlberg to play the role but Hollywood needs everybody to feel young and put emphasis on age so Marks the old guy
"well it wasn't the gun or the candlestick...it cant be the billards room or kitchen...and it ain't Plum or Peacock...oh shit. damn. i just realized im ugly AF!" 😤😢😭😵
Yeah tom Holland was a miscasting, but it's all about making money at the box office lol. I'm sure Adam Driver, Robert Pattinson, or other good actors in their 30s didn't want that nasty role
@@goesdeep9318 but they had a decent dynamic, I think they both nailed the characters they were playing, likeness aside, just shouldn't of made it into an uncharted movie, just call it a homage to uncharted
Gotta notice how Hollywood casts the Silent generation and the millennials all while ignoring the Gen X . The very people that made technology as user friendly as it is today. The generation they are trying so hard to eliminate that made the world Gen Z knows. Lol
See that's the thing that kinda pissed me off about the whole thing. Mark might be over 50, but he could pass for a guy in his 30s, he's in great shape, and he even has the same hairstyle as Nathan Drake about 75% of the time 😂 Tom Holland looks like a kid. Should've went with Mark and honestly Bryan Cranston as Sully probably would've been great
@@rensb9214 Exactly, I like Mark fine but he plays Mark Wahlberg in every movie. This was a miscast that was only made worse by bringing in Tom Holland.
@@Lewis94444 Well he got to see before everyone else, he still agreed to do it. You can see how he derails onto "so I'm the old one" like he knew that he'd be Sully initially? I woudn't have, I would have been confused unless someone explained.
Funny enough; Nathan Fillion would have also been a good choice for Nathan Drake. Edit: anyone who says "he's too old" in the replies....like and??....Tom Holland was wayyy too young.
@@WorldSaysHowdydude was born to play Nathan Drake and the studio fucked it up. The live action Uncharted was trash, and the fan made film was just like the game it was crazy.
@hodlwise2470 believe it was an issue of timing. If i remember right, due to Nathan Fillion's role in The Rookie, they werent able to get him, but im not sure if they even considered him
@@anweshd84 Sure, but Fillion is too old now. He would have been a perfect casting choice for Nathan Drake if they had done the movie in 2003. The same goes for Green Lantern.
@@El3ctr0Lun4no he was still perfect, it literally looks like Nathan Drake was modeled after him. You don't have to start a film at Uncharted 1 and the entire Uncharted fan base wanted him to play the role in the live action film. It's literally one of the biggest fumbles Hollywood has ever done regarding adaptations.
When he put Bryan Cranston’s name with those other legends it kinda made me smile. Cranston has proven himself to be one of the best in Hollywood. Glad that other actors think so to.
Since finding out about how deep and disgusting Hollywood's penchant for p3d0phi@llia goes I'll never look at anyone out there the same again. If they aren't actual perpetrators they're enablers for staying silent. One big vile club with the politicians and rich elites. 🤢🤮 Legends is far from what most are.
@@BanditoBurrito it’s not dumb. The fact that he can be an Emmy winning actor with super intense roles like Walter White, and then also be an amazing comedic actor as Hal shows his versatility.
@@Dj3nlightenedHollywood just cares about making money. Kind of like casting Tom Cruise to play Jack Reacher. Jack Reacher is a huge man in the books and Tom Cruise is maybe 5 foot 4 inches and 160 pounds, he’s tiny. But Tom’s action movies make money.
Hollywood always thinks fans of franchises like this care more about an actor than we do about making an accurate portrayal of the main character. Coasting on Holland's popularity and making him, while a great actor, Nathan Drake, all the while matching him in neither appearance, voice, demeanor, body type and so on. Might as well cast Jesse Eisenberg as John Marston from Red Dead, or Finn Wolfhard as Solid Snake from Metal Gear
Don’t want to talk down on Tom holland but to me he gets roles that are just not for him, as spider man he was great, but other movies he’s done … not great at all
Chris Rock tells the story of trying to flirt with Rihanna, and she tells him "oh uncle, you're so funny", and getting uncle-zoned made him realize his age
This is like Jackie Chan getting a call to be in the new Karate Kid movie and he thought he will be the karate kid but then he realized his age and knew on the spot that he's going to be the teacher.
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 Nah, it's not really a sad thing. Believing that oneself is still young is the secret to live longer and give better health, but it still funny though. 😆
Absolutely not your 100% incorrect! The people that should have played Nathan Drake and Sully, should have been Nathan fillion and Stephen Lang. You can't tell me that when you look at Nathan Drake in the game, that it doesn't look like they modeled him exactly after Nathan Fillion!
These other dudes are idiots. Cranston and Mark would’ve been awesome. I probably would have watched it. I like Tom as Spidey but it just didn’t make sense as Nathan Drake.
@@charlesboots6508 Mark Wahlberg today is a better Drake than Nathan Fillion today. I don't want a bloated Nathan Drake slowly waddling from cover to cover and credit card hopping onto the back of trains. By the time the third game released Nathan Fillion was too out of shape for the role as a trilogy. It should have been Zac Levi a decade ago. It still should have been Zac Levi. Chris Pratt would have also worked.
Yeah I agree, tom Holland was more like a teenage or kid Drake. Video game adaptations rarely work out unless the director is an actual fan and played the game
@@Teah8cbdudepeople expect video game adaptations to be exactly like the game. I've never played the game but I thought it was a good movie. I've noticed video game movies are more enjoyable if you've never played the game because there's always this expectation of what it should be, and people are generally disappointed when a director tries to do something original.
@@Suicidal_Soy_Sauce actually it's kinda the opposite. People don't expect video game into movie adaptations to be perfect, because they never are. The last of us was good, but even then, they changed a Lot of things, and there were many episodes that felt were not necessary to put in the show. (then again, that's a show) What people expect, is they HOPE it to be good. For example, ghost of tsushima film is gonna be directed by the guy who filmed John Wick. He wants it to be Japanese with English sub, and possibly black and white version. So little tid bits like that, the director even being aware of the game truly, is when the video game movies or shows are decent. But idk man, name me One video game movie adaptation that was perfect to the game with no changes to the story or anything. I mean, Mario, sonic, master chief halo whatever, we're just so horrible. Mortal kombat, though was kinda good, but even then it got bad criticism because the main character, is just some random guy the director added in. He doesn't exist in the game and he's not based of any mk character.
@@Teah8cbdude yeah it was weird how they made that one dude gay in the last of us for no reason. The tomb raider movies are cool though and resident evil. And they have some good anime’s off video games like cyberpunk, castlevania, the Witcher etc…
Im 42, i had a young (20'ish) co worker recently thank me for all my fatherly advice because his dad never teadhes him anything. It was a very nice; yet soul crushing thing to hear. 😂 Im the old guy now.
Check out the Uncharted fan film on RU-vid, the casting is insane for a fan film with small budget, not to mention the actors actually fit the characters more than the actual $120 million movie
I hate the fact that Mark was obviously invested in this but did not push hard enough to make it himself. He could have produced it even. Not to mention that 2009 is around the year when the most popular and succesful film franchise was born. Sony would have won either way.
I think Cranston has the charisma, and the duplicitous nature, but I doubt he's physical enough for such a part. Not to dunk on the guy, he's 30 years my senior and I'm in no better shape than him - not every actor needs to be in athlete shape. But this role specifically kinda needs an athlete, and Cranston ain't that.
That would have been hilarious. I think he's not quite dry enough, though. Sully always struck me as a young con-man who got older and quieter, but kept his wiley charm. Bruce has that campy nutcase going on in his acting persona.
I know exactly how you feel Mark. I used to be young, life happened and I woke one morning and I'm suddenly 51. Don't regret anything but goddamn that was a bloody quick 50 plus years
I turned 50 two months ago, on Nov 12. But I feel like I'm still trying to figure life out and get things started. I stupidly broke up with all my girlfriends and never got married or had kids. I know what life should be now. I just need to start it again.
I feel ya Mark... Just turned 52 and went to a bar and heard a gentleman say, "man I feel so old now, I'm 3 years away from 30" Friggin hung my head and realized I'm in a bar with people half my age.... Got up and left😊
Tom was what completely ruined this film. Mark would've been OK, but it should've 100% been Nathan Fillion after he did the Uncharted fan movie, he totally nailed that.
@@GodloveszazaHow'd you manage to call Mark Wahlberg both a man and a woman, all in the span of a 10 word sentence 😂 Actor = someone who acts (of any gender) Actress = an actor whom is female.
That was a let down Mark was for this role he had everything ..if they were gonna use Holland use jus him. It seems like they both playing the character from the past and the future 🤔
The same thing happened to Michael Caine. They sent him a script and he thought he was going to be the leading man but instead the producer wanted him to be the grandfather.
