I'd say Traitors and Loyalists are probably equally crazy, just in different directions. Chaos are, naturally, chaotic and disorganized crazy: They are the guy who lives alone, painted over all the windows, and abducts homeless people and drills holes in their brains for _very_ hazy and poorly defined reasons. He has rotting severed body parts lying around in places he forgot he put them. He might be talking to himself, or the voices in his head, but no one can tell which because it's all gibberish and he has lost the ability to communicate coherently. Loyalist Marines are obsessive and neurotically crazy: They are the guy who seems normal at first, but still gives you a weird vibe. You move into the house next to him and he gets increasingly passive-aggressive towards you for _months_ until he snaps, breaks into your house at night, and starts waving a knife around while he rants and screams about how the edge of your trash can goes 1/4 of an inch onto his side of the property line when you put it out for collection, _and he knows you're doing it deliberately to undermine his purity of will in advance of a joint Soviet/Gay/Mexican invasion of the FREE WORLD GODDAMNIT!_ Meanwhile you're like, "my what is over the what-now!?" They're both _very_ crazy, and pretty scary to deal with, but one drools and stares at things that aren't there, and the other has those massive Crazy Eyes, and believes in conspiracy theories.
@@DamienTheCat the chaos marines from the time of Horus really do view the zealots who came after them as crazy like this. They call them corpse worshipers for a reason and when they start pulling off magic through their faith alone they really do view them like they do here. The black Templars are even more so this case since they stem from a time and founder who pretty much started the imperial faith even though they should have known better.
Dorn: "Do you remember that crazy guy we had to wrap in chains and hull out of the Eternal Fortress for his own sake... we made him a Chaptermaster and have lost all control of them."

I SHALL TEAR THEIR ABOMINABLE VISAGE OFF THE FACE OF THE IMPERIUM OF MANKIND, AS THE GOD-EMPEROR MY WITNESS, MAY HIS FURY CHANNEL THROUGH MY BULLETS AS THEY RAIN DOWN LIKE HOLY FIRE UPON THEM. I AM THE EMPERORS WEAPON AND MY ARMOUR IS CONTEMPT.
@@goodmoney2998 Black Templars pray for the Emperor until one of them goes to kind of fugue state and starts to see visions of divinity. When they're chosen as the champion he's given armor of faith and a sacred black sword. These warriors are found rarely, like maybe few in a century and when the battle begins they just go to this sort of zealous rampage no matter the foe. It can be a chaos cultist or a goddamn Carnifex, it doesn't matter to him and it's not too uncommon that The Emperor's champion might turn the whole tide of the battle by rushing into the frey and killing the enemy commander/warboss or whatever is in the opposing end of his sword. During the Great scouring pretty much each chapter had a Champion at some point, but that has been discontinued with the exception of the Black Templars who has them to this date. Hope this helps with the meme 😅
Kharn wasn’t afraid of sigismund him because he wasn’t insane he was scared of Sigismund because kharn felt no emotions from Sigmund while they were fighting
As a Black Templar player, this is very accurate. It's good to see such an accurate representation of our least devout and least zealous battle brothers.
Imagine you are some chaos warband, that came out of the Eye of terror first time since Horus heresy, still thinking the Imperium runs on the Imperial Truth. And then you meet Black templar.
@@comteraffayn8351 Yeah to this day I don't get what's supposed to be so funny about that. Yeah Lorgar won, and now you have a bunch of psychopaths who believe God is with them trying to kill you.
@@michaelarchangel42 Tbf Telemachon take nothing seriously plus as a veteran of the Great Crusade he saw as absurd the idea of worshipping the Emperor and the fact that the Word Bearers (considered a Legion of losers during the Great Crusade for believing in his godhood) have won and that their beliefs were adopted by the Imperium made it all the more funny for him It's like the ultimate irony
Considering Fists preferred method of relaxation and meditation is something called the "pain glove" which works just about how you imagine it does by the name. And to more new people, yes these are indeed Fist successors. Yes, Rogal Dorn's, the calm quiet guy. These lunatics are from his geneseed.
yes, this is lore accurate the Black templar being completely insane in a zealous way is spot on. The chaos marine just wants to kill some shit and go home.
@@TheNerdForAllSeasons Where was this so called purity of purpose when the Templars murdered a Custodes, and lost almost an entire Fleet in the Process.
@@CedricBassmanthey said it was the will of the emperor cause they survived while their "enemies" did not. Also the emperor still gave the librarian a vision to continue their crusade.
@@madhatten00 The Custodes managed to destroy almost the entire Fleet before dying. Also that particular BT Group was later declared Renegades by Hellbrecht himself, who gladly accepted the Primaris reinforcement without problem.
"The Emperor' s lessons... are so beautiful... When you are dismembered, when you are entombed in dreadnaught sarcophagus. Then your warband will gather around the chaos hellbeast to see the new Derek. The Emperor is the teacher, Derek is the student, and I am the Emperor' s instrument."
It was so amusing telling my friend about the BT's and he's like - so wait, Chaos Marines are supposed to be the crazy ones, but these Black Templars sound like they're even more insane than the CMs. That's the neat part chief. The Imperium vs Chaos is just fanaticism vs fanaticism on many levels. It's just a holy war on a galactic scale.
Ah yes, the Marines that need a translator because they speak exclusively in reasons why they will kill you for being a vile heretic in the God-Emperor's Sight.
@@Mike-8404 So they side with literal Chaos, and it's cool. But when G-Man comes along to inject them with some new Troops, they think that is heretical and somehow came to the conclusion to not only murder their new reinforcements *BUT ALSO THE CUSTODES THAT WAS SENT WITH THEM* This is exactly why the Black Templar are just ass, even by 40K standards.
I legit believe that this templar got a vision from the emperor of man and is now the newest Emperors Champion. So yeah that Black Legion dude has every right to be scared.

Even sorely wounded upon His Golden Throne, He wields a power that cannot be denied! I just went through a breakup. I needed something to make me laugh. When he speaks in tongue I fucking loose my shit every time. Thanks for the laughs. I needed it today.
40K goes fucking hard with their example I love of a specific Legion known as the gray Knights who have psychokinetic superpowers that can allow them to do anything from burst someone's brain or create flames of so Blaze fire as well as Go full fucking Palpatine and shoot lightning from their hands and there wasn't only purpose is to kill any and all aspects of chaos which also includes anyone who knows literally anything about chaos or of their own existence so if a great night shows up to kill some demons that were attacking you and your platoon it's not a good site and you'd be happier if it was just the demon you had to face especially since that team is going to first try to fucking run to the best of it's possible capabilities before the gray Knights can fucking obliterate its existence but then after they're done with the demons, they're going to come for you because you know too much.
Beyond that when it comes to the insane side of things, machines in 40K actually work based on your belief of whether the machine should work or at least Orcs And the priests of the omnissiah can make machines that work based purely on belief and faith that they will and this goes even further for the Orcs to the point that they paint themselves read it because they believe it goes faster and after making a bunch of trash into something that looks like a spaceship even if it isn't airtight or have any means of thrust or actual ability to move at all and even if it's not even structurally sound, through sheer belief that they had just made a spaceship, it will be able to take off into orbit and fly them to wherever the fuck they want to go on their WAHHHs and the way that they teleport from one place of the galaxy to the other is by entering into essentially a rift in space-time created by their God and just letting it spit them out wherever the fuck it will because wherever they pop out is where those start their WAAHH....... how they even have one or who literally got their head attached to a fucking giant ass robot body partially made up of other Orcs to make the biggest orc is the one who is the leader of all the Orcs edit somehow fucking worked...
Ignore fake fans. A Templar would be that crazy. It's a faction so fanatical in their faith that BELIEF gives them including saves, nullifies psykers, etc. They put word bearers to shame.
Lol, I wouldn't call them fake fans. Just so absorbed in the chaos side of lore that they don't understand how absolutely nuts and scary the Templars are.
Fake fans? Who made you authority on this matter? Falling into a No True Scotsman Fallacy really doesn't make sound any different than the fanatic Templars.
Ah, I have found the arbiter of true fandom. Or something. Most Astartes are secular now. Welcome to gw revisionist history bud. It's funny to me that you likened the tt wargame to the lore capabilities in the same statement in which you say that you aren't a real fan if you don't think chaos is as crazy or crazy-er than the templars. In the hh books marine armor sustains bolts from lightning storms that are literally hundreds of orders of magnitude stronger than anything we've yet seen in the observable galaxy and shrug it off, yet in other books las gun fire can kill them. The lore is inconsistent as fuck, and there is actually no canon. And before you freak out, do the research. Retcons don't even technically exist in 40k because no technical canon exists for most events. Luetin09 is my go to for explaining this, he does so more eloquently than I ever could. You DO need to be able to pay attention for more than minutes at a time though
Very lore accurate. During the war of the beast an Iron Warriors marine was freaked out that Black Templar he onced met as an Imperial Fist has become a Emperor praising zealot.
Imma be honest, i don't recognise which of these marines is the loyalist one and which is chaos, but it doesn't matter because both sides are just as demented
The one with spikes and the symbol of entrophy in his shoulder its the chaos marine. The one with a cross in his shoulder in black is the black templar.
The chaos marine has the 8-pointed star on his pauldrons and is acting more sane, the loyalist marine has the red Teutonic cross on his pauldrons and is acting kinda batshit. That’s partly the joke.
"If you got an actual crazy person for me to fight" .....in this universe, fighting a mere 'actual crazy person' would be a good day, compared to what's out there. Count your blessings, Derek.
Yea, this probably does legit lean towards Loyalists. Lets be real. The Purge of the Heretics only stopped because the traitors fled deep into the magic warp radiation zone.
