I know right? It’s crazy.. And I’m pretty sure there is much more to come like different weight variants, bulk cargo door, satcom, LED/Halogen lighting. They brought a lot to us
What a treasure trove of information! This video is a gold mine of knowledge for anybody wishing to know the finer nuances of the A320 family. Totally in love with the Fenix...
On 747-400's the STBY ADI would typically take a little longer to cage, but we wouldn't generally pull knob fully out all the way initially, but would pull it out gently and progressively to cage it.
I feel like this might be helpful for nervous flyers seeing that these jets are capable of functional operations through what is let's be honest a completely unrealistic loss of systems
Great video. I thought the complexity of the Fenix 320 would be intimidating but thanks to videos like this it is actually turning into a fascinating experience. Thank you!
Famous cartoon: formation of ducks flying inverted between two cloud layers. An airliner is approaching from the opposite direction. Lead duck to the formation: “watch the pilots expression as we go by them.”
@@320SimPilot When we landed at San Diego Airport with a 800ft ceiling and i think he landed a little long because he used max reverse and what a jolt that was. Those neo engines are powerful. Good fun though.. lol
Great as always. I do wish we could see a video where he discusses about what a pilot does from the time he arrives at the airport to when he sits in the pilot seat. Kind of like the 'non-flying' stuff that we are not aware of. I would love to hear about hazardous cargos, late boarding's, minor maint. ect... things like that.
@@320SimPilot Still going but its looking good so far haha, some great passion knowing in your downtime you are still so heavily invested in aviation. I'm a aircraft engineer in the RN and when I finish work I sometimes don't ever want to lay my eyes on an aircraft again
I believe atom is correct that it must have been a DC source but I am not certain which one! We often don’t know the exact source of every system given the sheer number there are. If you lose all AC buss and are in the situation seen in the video I would expect the FCU is not sure useful anymore as it won’t show any am targets on the standby instruments. Thanks for watching!
The air data is not yet perfected on this aircraft. The aircraft flies on sim speed and not the ADR speeds. You can test this by blocking all the pitots and then change the speed on FCU with autothrust engaged and it will just fly to the sims speed. Also the TAS/GS are the same on both ND’s but the ADIRS panel shows independent readings
There is a worst failure than "direct law" regarding flight control, there is the mechanical backup only. You could get the message on PFD in red "Man Pitch Trim Only" if you loose ELAC 2 & ELAC 1 as well as SEC 2 & SEC 1. Then the sidestick is useless and the only way to control the aircraft is the trim and engine power. It happened not too long ago at tallinn airport SmartLynx flight 9001. They landed safely but the aircraft is a total loss.
@@tomw86 yeah saved them everytime on the EFB when i switch to a diff livery and go back to the one i was previously . it goes back to the default . even tho i saved it as how i wanted it to be
if I ever was to become rich enough to man my own private jet I'd defo try and hire you as the captain - just for peace of mind. Also why don't airlines do more "chrome" liveries? they look so cool
The radios are powered by the DC Busses split between 1/2/ESS which can in an emergency be powered by the batteries but not for very long. Normally if all generators are lost the RAT will power it through the AC ESS BUS and the ESS TR
when a320 is cessna: low climb rates in CFM engine when a320 is a320: higher V/S in IAE engine LOL is this true, that the IAE engine is raw power compared to CFM?
