You want to focus on different abilities? Play Nero. You want to focus on positioning strategy? Play V. You want to focus on weapon variety? Play Dante. You want to focus on *literally everything being dead?* Play Vergil.
It should have been the pattern since DMC3, unfortunately few games let you enjoy THAT feeling (I can only name MGR:R on the top of my head rn with the Sam DLC)

Noo, he's not more powerful, boss vergil was highly nerfed so that players don't feel like it's impossible to beat him. His judgement cuts were made slower and also had to travel but in actual it teleports to where the target is. His judgement cut end had super long startup so that players can get the time to evade it and also the range was toned down. Also when vergil parries your attacks, he doesn't do anything significant to damage you.
@@universemaster100 His SDT rapid slash as a boss is slowed also with a delay for you to dodge. Imagine if he can spam multiple SDT rapid slashes at rapid succession like his playable version can do lol good luck royal guarding that the timing would be like split seconds hahahah. Still waiting for someone to make a mod that modifies boss vergil like that it would be challenging for sure but a lot of fun. It will be like the GMD Dante mod from DMC4 all over again xD
@@universemaster100 That’s only in Human/Devil Hunter modes. On Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die, he does more Judgement Cuts, air combos, more summoned sword moves, and faster JCE start up.

Well with Vergil it's fairly easy. You have enough means of avoiding damage. All versions of Air Trick, the i-frames of Trick Teleport, block 1 and block 2, Judgement Cut End i-frames, and lastly World of V

Interesting how still nobody has modded in the parry property to his block, like boss Vergil does. Like at 05:06 it should parry that attack, but it just blocks it.
DMC V give us option to play as the last boss, Vergil, but in return you have to beat the last boss, Dante. In conclusion, DMC is one of the game that let you use last boss from the get go

@UAF Finn i know but the one that he has is like the actual boss air trick, like whenever he uses it there’s extra shadow “dash” effect. Idk how to explain srry lol
The irony here is that the boss when playing as the boss, is still the character the player can play! Boss dante is pretty annoying for various reasons too.
