Sadly, people like this exist in real life. I know this person is just a troll trying to be funny and begging for attention but people who think they can treat a human being bad just because they are paying for a service do exist.
Rob L that’s not why they wanted to pay for his meal. They wanted to stop the guy from complaining to the delivery mans company. Because it could very likely get him fired.
Rob L ~first of all, don’t call him an asshole cuz he’s an actor, it’s all fake. In reality, the actor playing the “asshole” is already a good person by playing an insulting person in an experiment that shows how people would react to a mistreated worker. Secondly, people offered him a meal to try and resolve the problem peacefully, and the they did offer to also buy the food from the old man as well. By doing this; the guy gets his meal, the man doesn’t get reported to his company, and everyone gets want they wanted.
Tyler durden ~it’s not that I expected *no one* to help him. It’s just that the Chinese are usually reserved, and like to mind their own. My cousins and I were always taught to do so by our parents as well. It just shocked me to see that many people stand up for him because of the lessons I grew up learning from my family since I was a baby. Don’t need to get defensive🙌🏼 Not everyone can grow up the same as you. And not every country is like America, of where ever you are from.
I liked the girls telling him he looks like a good person to calm yhings down and asked if they can treat him a meal, and the last guy too.. solving problems is better than scolding the bad guy
“Just because you pay money, it doesn’t mean you can insult him” hits hard, man. I’m a server and I’ve been belittled and mistreated so many times with the threat of “well, you’re not getting any tip” or “it’s your JOB” thrown at me. YOU DO NOT OWN US. Once I tell a rude person that I don’t care if they tip me nothing, I can see them backtrack because they have no power over me. We are human beings. Treat us as such.
Some people think they are buying the individual with the services, and they are better than the worker bc they are the ones paying, but that's absolutely not true. I'm really sorry you have gone through this situations, but I'm happy that you know you are so much deserving of respect as the costumer.
Every profession no matter what must be respected. I always tip whoever serves me food or deliver food. I know server's are always running here and there, their legs are paining they are tired hungry, long shift hours and some have families. I know delivery people ride no matter what weather it is. I enjoy how their eyes lit up and smile when I tip them. If I doesnt have money in hand I have given them chocolates, drinks and many more. Even when there is a delay and they apologize for being late I always tell them never to apologize. I learned from my GF who is always humble and soo giving . End of the day we all are humans. helping others and bringing a smile to a face is one of the most enjoyable things you can do in your life.
My parents use to work Chinese take out deliveries. And everyone freaking knows that chinese take out is open in almost any weather. I remember once when a customer called the restaurant to complain, and the boss was pissed af. He literally went off on them saying, what right do you have to talk shit about my delivery workers? There is a blizzard outside. You should expect a longer than usual delivery. There is a reason why you didn't drive out personally to pick up your food. You are not the only person who doesn't want to cook at home or drive to pick up food, we have many deliveries today. My delivery workers have children and need to drive safely so they can take care of their kid after work. Boss of the year, I say. This was like 20 years ago.
Delivery is a hard job because customers frequently change their locations/ put wrong locations and blame delivery for being late. I owned a small business (now bankrupt) and stressed out how people treat delivery people so bad.
The tourists are usually the man in the video complaining. It's not easy to make it to a western country for these people. Any Chinese person studying in America/Europe/Aus are already in the top 10% of Chinese society.
Sorry to our tourist, China was a third world country that just caught up. The society still not up to scratch with the current world's cultures and mannerisms. They are getting better as time goes by.
I think that TreeMan is the guy who shoot these videos and if he comes on camera they blur his face. Check out the video where an elderly man eating only buns for lunch without water and people feed him, at the end of the video a guy with a camera and blurred face explains that they were doing a RU-vid video, I think that's TreeMan.
I love how the bystanders didn't only try to help the worker but quite polite in dealing with that uptight guy. Wow. You can say a lot about a country and the upbringing of its citizens with a video like this.
The moment when a whole group surround them (like a wolf pack ready to attack, damn 😂) and defend the delivery guy was such a moment. I only found this channel recently but I'm hooked, it's my new addiction, it really is a great channel. ❣
What I love about China is not just that all these people stepped up to defend the delivery man but also that they did so without escalating the situation. They don't just yell at the man, they take the time to help him see it from the deliveryman's perspective and even offer to heat up the meal or pay for it so that he can see its not as big of a deal as he thinks. This way he doesn't just feel ganged up on and he can realize the error of his ways without feeling attacked. If they just yelled at him, he would leave angry, the delivery man would probably lose his job, and the man would never admit that he was in the wrong. Respect.
My favorite is the last man, he didn’t argument with the villain actor but treat him like a friend (want to buy some food), I thought he forgot the delivery man but he coming back silently and want to pay the food too, what a gentleman
I wonder who cut onions? Because I am bawling so hard. I really felt the mad feeling if I ever see it irl. I'd just cry and yell at the mean guy at the same time. 🥺😂
I might be late, but.. I cried so hard seeing the delivery man kept trying to give the guy his order. I’m still 13 but my friends says I’m to empathetic and sympathetic/emotional already, my friend said “it’s good that you can know their feelings, but it’s not that good cause you’re too emotional” but it’s okay right to be like that???
i was amazed by watching people not only helping that delivery guy but were bothered for the man's meal too , literally they were asking to pay for his lunch or giving him treat . i love these people and this channel.
The fact that there are actually many such delivery man who face troubles like this makes me sad. Sometimes a little bit of understanding is all we need to make someone's life easier.
Dude seeing this many people stand up for the delivery man almost made me cry. And if i saw that happened i would've paid for it and treat the delivery man with some coffee and warm cookies!
I love the fact that even though the actor was being a jerk some of the people killed him with kindness by offering to buy him a meal just so he would leave the delivery man alone
If such situation really happened in front of me and the delivery guy was late to deliver to me then I wouldn't mind if he was late I would inform him to be careful in snowy day and bring him some hot drink and meal.
The woman offered to pay for the meal instead is brave. It must have been scary to intervene them like that. Notice that after she stepped forward others had the courage to speak up too.
This one vid I'm crying huhuhu 💔 it's really inspiring and heart warming to see others standing up for someone .💕 I felt so bad for the delivery man and though it was an act but it shows how they care . So go! Go! TreeMan
To those who keep asking them to put English subs, please be patient. I just found this channel a month ago and most of their videos didn't have English subs. But whenever I check this channel every other day, I find 1-2 old videos with English subs already. They are putting effort to put Eng subs to all their past videos so please bear with them, don't be too impatient. By the way, so glad that this channel has been growing with subscribers and that some of the videos already have million views compared a month ago when I could only see 50k views or less.
This is a social experiment... The food delivery man was depicted to be late (for about 2 hours) due to the snow. The customer wanted to lodge a complain for poor service despite the delivery man offering to refund him. (Because customer complains/poor-ratings may possibly lead to the delivery man losing his job or get heavily penalized.) So some passerby tried to talk sense to the customer to be more forgiving in view of the deliveryman's old age & poor weather, while others tried various strategies to appease him like volunteering to warm up his food, saying that he seemed like a nice person (hinting he so should be more magnanimous), or even wanting to treat him so long he does not lodge the complain, etc... Some even volunteered to pay the delivery man instead.
Hello,. I am from Indonesia and I love china so much, and I also love this Channel so much...I hope this Channel may always update videos..I'll promote this RU-vid channel to my other friends in Indonesia and also my chinese friends...Thankyou..❤
Im deliver man to, and I am grateful that my customers always understand the situation that is happening, the important thing is not to lie to what really happened, the customer must understand.
I WISH THERE IS ALSO A VIDEO OF TELLING TO THEM THAT IT WAS A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT..I LOVE WATCHING THESE VIDEOS BECAUSE THESE ARE REMINDERS THAT WE SHOULD A.WAYS HAVE THAT KINDNESS, RESPECT, CONSIDERATION AND BASICALLY LOVE TO OTHER PEOPLE COZ WE ARE THE SAME HUMAN BEING LIVING UNDER THE SAME SKY!! LOVE FROM THE PHILIPPINES!!!
