Clip from our yuletide one-shot, Twas the Night Before Witchlight! Watch us play D&D live on Twitch every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! twitch.tv/legendsofavantris
The editing makes it even better. Such a perfect representation of that point in the evolution of every running joke, where just knowing it's _about to_ be mentioned becomes hilarious.
@@bentrod3405honestly the entirety of witchlight is like this. I'm like 7 episodes in and every 30 seconds of that show is clip worthy, the bits NEVER stop
@@drbjr99 lul headphones woulda made it worse. People would see you doubled over laughing and have no context as to why. At least without headphones they'd hear what you're watching, and maybe laugh along with you.
That's not a nice thing to say about the Welsh! I mean, sure, they have unpronounceable place names and refuse to use vowels, but they're not bad enough to be damned!
Yeah, as a forever DM, I get this. Once I accidentally said sober instead of somber to describe a scene and my friends still reminded me of it. That was twenty years ago!!
As a DM for a party of idiots, assholes, and the best friends I've ever had, I know that look that she has. The " I hate every single one of you " look. I wear it weekly.
They also don't take drinks when they know they're just gonna be idiots, which happens 99% of the time. The other 1% is when they finally get on with the main plotline with slightly less crack.
My dnd party did this to strahd, we called him anything but his actual name and it drove our DM nuts, to the point that he would threaten that he was going to add damage points to his attacks 😂
i haven't commented on these in so long due to my living situation and my depression but this always makes me smile and laugh and now that chuckles is a main line character I'm very happy. So i want all of the people who do this to know how thankful I am for all that you do you all put a smile on my face in the most grim dark of moments and times
Children: *are missing, being eaten by a witch* DnD Party: *making fun of the witches name and laughing uproariously* Do you ever get a flash of just how bad it is to be an NPC in these tabletop games? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This stuff is my favorite part of DnD and dropping real people into a fantasy world “This is very serious-“ “YOUR NAME IS A VERY FUNNY NAME” Demoralize the witch! She’s been taking herself seriously for too long
The way they gradually just smirk at each other after hearing "I hate to tell you this, but Grýla-" and instantly dying after Nikkie realizes the mistake she made cracks me up. 🤣
Their laugh is infectious. To prove this I removed a broken air vent cover in my school and placed a Bluetooth speaker hooked up to a power bank that fed electricity to the speaker so it would not die and replaced the broken vent cover. After that a cult arose and prayed to the vents. this happens at 12:10 am at the 23d second. ( all the vents were interconnected so the sounds would reverberate down the vent,I also replace the battery every 67 days )that was 1 year ago and the cult now has 32 people that meet up at lunch every day at 12:10 ans the teachers haven’t found the source
i heard they took over a kingdom and changed the currencies to be named after them, the heroes have a bounty on their heads now too , One Gryllian gold pieces.
Matt Mercer once said he was going to change all npc names to Steve because every time he introduced a new npc they made fun of it. Players are monsters sometimes
On one hand, this could all have been avoided if Grýla had been pronounced correctly (more like gr-ee-la) On the other hand, we would have missed out on this absolutely masterpiece
@CrudeBuster I am unsure if your comment was supposed to come off as mocking or humorous but will assume the latter x] It is a wonder humans speaking different languages ever figured out how to properly communicate and I bet there were lots of amusing moments along the way xD
