The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

What’s the most impressive example of a Non-Point Guard playing Point. UPDATE for the 50 Greatest vid: The editing for this one is taking a little longer than I expected, and with what feels like carpal tunnel in my wrist and hand, I’m needing to take more breaks between editing. Sorry its taking so long, but its gonna be done by the end of the month. I think my rankings of Wilt, Giannis, Isiah Thomas and Clyde Drexler will stir things up the most. Looking forward to it. haha.

MJ was all about doing what needed to be done to win. Like Lebron he is absolutely capable of making a team better by helping create plays for them. But most often the best thing to do for his team was score as he was the best play maker. If you have a stacked shooter team then him being more pg oriented makes sense. However he didn't really play with a ton strong shooters teammates.

His detractors don't wanna see this. Or they choose to forget it. Collins knew MJ had exceptional passing ability & vision. I think the Jordan stateline is the one a lot people would find to be the most interesting. There has become a narrative that Jordan was just a scorer and Lebron is the facilitator of the two. It's used as a common topic in the G.O.A.T. discussion to give Lebron an edge in a category. Personally I find it interesting because it goes to show that Jordan could really do just about anything on the court he wanted to and excel at it.
@AH-bm5xs

Very true. Jordan proved at one point or another that he’s the greatest player ever at almost every element of the game, big or small. There’s MJ, then there’s everyone else. Debate places 2-10 of the greatest basketball players ever. But number 1 is obvious and undoubtably Michael Jordan.

LeBron did not have to reinvent himself. He's always been the primary ball handler in heliocentric offenses around him. Having AD meant that he could do less on offense and he'd be able to have 10+ assist by just passing to AD. Michael Jordan also played the point in the NBA Finals in 91. Contrary to the popular narrative, he was the one guarding Magic and Pippen only helped a lot in G2 and whenever MJ was in foul trouble. I think he avg 31, 11 and 8 for that series.

I'll go with an even hotter take and say Bron's facilitating is overrated, period. Not that he's not a good passer. He is. But most of his assists are just passing it to an open 3pt shooter who is often standing right next to him. ...and it's not like Bron led the league in assists often or even came close other than one season.

I remember reading a while back that Jordan was the best player in the world from 87 to 98, but was the best player ever between 88 and 93. This is another proof. To those mocking his playoff results until 91, remember how stacked the pistons were (they’d have won the championship in 88 as well if it was not for Isiah’s injury) and how little help he had. Scottie played all star caliber (and not superstar caliber yet) only from the 89-90 season, before that, support cast was composed of average players

I think the first half of Kobe's 2002-2003 season could be mentioned here. His numbers through 42 games were 27.2 ppg 7.6 rpg and 7.1 apg on 3.7 topg. I am not sure he was playing PG but he was facilitating at an elite level, having many 10+ assists nights and triple doubles since Shaq was battling with injury. Then after that period he started to become a lethal scorer having his 9-game 40 point streak and 13-game 35 point streak. Just prime Kobe stuff.
