When to use 'be going to' versus 'will+ Verb'. You both explain clearly the proper use of the one or the another. These are the kind of nuances you barely learn in a traditional language school. Thanks a million Kevin & Liza.
I loved it when you said to "sound more natural than to sound more American." I forwarded this video to my friends who are learning English and they loved it.
you can't find this kind of information anywhere in ESL books! Even most of native Americans are not able to explain this in such a simple way! Thank you! I am so grateful!
Bravo! You hit the nail on the head in teaching practical English. Not only your explanation is clear and concise but the two-way communication method is superb! We can practice to sound more native and natural immediately after learning it. Thank you so much.
Oh I so much love how you interacted with we the audience. It's really fun to feel as though you were standing right in front of me. Lol. So.... "I gonna be seeing more of your videos😅"
Great thanks for explaining the usage of future tenses. As it 's become fashionable for many " experts " to avoid learning grammar. Even language courses advertise that they would teach you English perfectly with out tormenting you with grammar. Thank you again , wish you success.
Hello Lisa and Kevin! Greetings from a muggy and windy São Paulo, Brazil! 🇧🇷 I believe this is the first time that I'm writing you. Hope you both are doing well and staying safe, all things considered. Well, I just watched your video and wanted you to know that not only have I found your explanation clear, concise and to the point, but also have given your video a big thumbs-up! I'll try to binge-watch all your videos -- hopefully soon. Looking forward to more useful and clarifying video lessons from you. Till then, please stay safe and stay well. I wish you two a wonderful and very restful weekend! Toodle! 👋
In a book I found a good explenation of present continuous and the going to form. We use them for decisions which have already been taken, we are only telling somebody about our plans. And we use "going to" also to talk about very probable things, not personal predictions. A good example is "Look at those black clouds, it is going to rain soon!". Thank you for this video because foreign speakers are usually lazy, and use "WILL" everywhere.
i am writinig to yo from srilanka.actually speaking. that was wery use ful and wonderful lesson for me.keep on doing like these lessons.i am with you'r channel.thank you
Liza, Kevin, THANK YOU SO MUCH ! This is just what I needed. So glad I came across this video. You've got one more loyal follower. Best wishes for continued success from a pto-Ukrainian Russian!
Thanks so much for sharing a REAL-LIFE grammar, not that you can find in any mainstream textbook. Especially when it comes to American English. As an AmE learner, I always struggle to find something decent teaching AmE. The market's full of BrE materials.
Thanks for explaining will and gonna. But I have to say: WILL + verb = Perfect Future ( All tomorrow's events up to eternity) VERB + ING = Continuous Present ( All TODAY'S events). I'm still thinking it's inconsistent using WILL in today's activities, quite confusing. Great Job!! Keep it up. Best Regards from the lone star state.
Actually, we native speakers say either one, and it usually doesn't matter. The only people who care are usually pompous, arrogant British English teachers.
I just subscribed. I think you two are very good teachers. I am a teacher too, and I am sure I will improve my English as well as my teaching with you. Thanks for your lessons.
Hello dear teachers! Please, can you explain the difference between using future continuous and present continuous for future? For example: 1. I will be working tomorrow at 3 p.m. 2. I am working tomorrow at 3 p.m. Which one should I use in this case? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for sharing the video. The explanation and teaching methods are excellent and clearer for lessons in the past. I couldn't release different between when you use will and going .It's helping me lots, thank you
I'll like to speak just like a native Speaker .so I'm very glad to find your Chanel today .your teaching is absolutely excellent and amazing. Thanks so much. .
Hello Elisa AND Kevin; I just found you and i am already yor follower after these interesting tips to make us sounds More natives speakers and less Talking robots. You are very talented, keep out the good work. Thanks alot
That's great. I would like to have your opinion about this sentence: l'll be to the office until 3 p.m. My question here is about the use of "will" to talk about a planned action, I couldn't change it into "going to", do you think that some verbs should not be conjugated with "going to/present continuous" like to be??
Wow! This video is amazing, thank you so much, it’s a big help for me coz I’m still learning my English language and I want to become fluent like a native speaker!
