Having a really bad experience with a realtor at the moment and I’m not going to lie but I legit felt like giving up based on how he was making me feel. It seems that he has clients that are aiming at higher priced homes and because I’m aiming at the 250k mark I’m somewhat less than smh

bro I used to be a Realtor like 15 years ago.. I would of killed for a 250k buyer or seller.. that's 7k in commissions on each side!! what the heck?? dump that fool and move on to another if you can get out of the contract if you signed one with them?

Awesome video! I actually had an individual who I was working with here in Los Angeles, never would text/call me back and would cancel last minute appointments, literally a few hours before viewing homes. Had to reach out and start the process all over with another lender/realtor and getting great vibes from these ladies 🙏

FIRST TIME: This video was very helpful and such a great help! My wife and I are first time home buyers and we went under contract. I am in the process of buying my first home. Whenever I booked a showing through Zillow, the same realtor kept showing up, so we ended up working with her kinda by default. And she is a trip. She talks down to me and is super condescending cos I’ve never bought a house before. She’s constantly trying to change my mind about what I want. She’s been pressuring me to put less money down and get a more expensive house than I want. She uses snarky remarks about bedrooms to try to shame me. My partner and I have told her that we will be sharing a room and we want one spare bedroom. She keeps showing us four and five bedroom homes and talking about how each “roommate” needs his own space. Or how we could have more “roommates” and charge them rent. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve told her that we are a gay couple starting a family, not college students buying a party house. When she talks to me, she refers to my partner as my “roommate”/“buddy”/“friend”/“colleague”/etc. it drives me up the wall. And she’s super preachy. She tries to proselytize on the job. She got upset cos we didn’t want to pray with her before she showed us a house. Maybe I’m the asshole here, but it doesn’t feel like it. But I think we are stuck with her. The first time I put a bid on a house, she had me sign a buncha forms. I was stupid and kinda just skimmed them and signed them. Didn’t ask a tonna questions. The sale didn’t go through on that house. And now it turns out that one of the forms had a clause where I signed that I would use this lady as my realtor for any real estate transactions for the next year. She’s tryna say she could sue me for breach of contract if I try to buy a house with someone else. We are honestly considering just staying in our apartment for an extra year to let that form expire so we don’t hafta work with this woman anymore or let her use us for a commission. I feel like an idiot for signing that without reading it. And I’m just so mad at myself for getting us into this position.

Thank you so much for this video. I recently spoke with a realtor and after the call I was honestly discouraged. It was like they were 10% supportive of what I wanted & 90% discouraging me out of what I wanted. I thought getting your dream home would be exciting but I was overall stressed by the end of the conversation. You have confirmed that it's for the best that I move forward with a new realtor that better suits my needs.👍🏾❤️

PS after she sabotaged the house I was in she had the nerve to put her business card in there as if I would ever call her again and just so it's noted she never gave me a business card the whole six months we work together. When I was going to find a new realtor she started crying basically and said that hurt her and I said well I didn't hear back from you in such and such a lot of time so I didn't know if you were taking me seriously I felt you were dilly-dallying around and trying to put me in house if you wanted me and that I couldn't afford. You see she lives in a coal camp and she wanted to put me in a house where she could get out of her house and come visit me. Oh my gosh I'm seeing it all now she had plans for me and my home to be her second home no doubt. Anyway when she finally resigned on me when I gave her a date if I didn't hear back from her body cuz she went mute and I said you can't be my so-called friend of my realtor to you're confusing me I said maybe we can be friends after this transaction as I was in contract from my so-called Dream Home at the time with her as my realtor but then I found out from the seller that she told them I saw your her and she wrote in a email because I gave her until a certain date to either resigned or get your s*** together lady because I wasn't going to fire her because she done made me feel bad the first time I even thought about getting a new realtor. So she resigned on me by the date and time I said and also sabotage the house. Again this all sounds so crazy because it is. I was raised in chaos which is why I accepted all of this. But gosh it has made me Rising my power. Again thank you for letting me unburden myself🙏🧜🏻‍♀️

Oh I heard you say about making the offer more attractive. I had a backup offer in a home and she told me to offer $5,000 more to make the deal quote-unquote sweeter! And it was also against the broker but she texted me she wanted to open hand slap because she was a bitter old woman. The Back-up offer of the house I put in where I added an extra 5K because I realtor told me to, the people selling that house was the woman she didn't like another broker locally. Article 15 trash talk. But as far as all the other stuff I don't know which articles to refer to? So overall it was emotional abuse, manipulation, lies, threats, sabotage of my home purchase and contract, trying to Blacken my name oh, a semi formal sexual harassment but I don't have proof and it would be her word against mine so I'm not going there but all the other stuff I have proof of. Absolutely out early insane psychopath! I feel like taking all the screenshots and the emails and putting them all over social media or making a RU-vid video... like a huge warning red flag to stay away from this place because it wouldn't be gossip it would be simply me sharing an experience in truth and righteousness. Blessings everyone and yes listen to this beautiful soul.. she is right she gives good advice and she is being honest and authentic. Wish I found this video before I had to deal with all of this. I was simply trying to buy a home that's it, nothing more nothing less. I was such an easy client I was very kind I had my pre-approval letter. It was my innocence that this person ate up and destroyed momentarily but not forever. I know some divine intervention will come through. Until then I will keep at it solo as best I can and hope the Virginia Board of Realtors make the correct decision with all the evidence that I have through text messaging emails as eyewitnesses

Wish I saw this video before I started working with my realtor. Too many red flags. I always bring my mother to look at the houses & she always ignores her. She barely talks to my partner. Whenever we talk she’s always sarcastic & insensitive. Didnt really guided us through the process. She was recommended to us by my bf’s uncle, & we found the house, which she was the listing agent as well. Oh boy the process is a nightmare! I have mental breakdowns every week because she is hella rude & just plain mean. I’m scared to dump her bc she’s also the listing agent. I didn’t know buying a house is this frustrating

We just started to look for a home, 1st time buyer. Our lender recommended someone...they were absolutely horrible! The realtor never took the time to actually speak to us, show us what we were looking for in our price range, yadda yadda yadda....but we found a realtor that is absolutely amazing! Our lender is also fabulous! Because of realtor and lender...we found the house of our dreams and close in July!

My Florida Realtor was a female Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She was inept, never available, offered no advise, was negative, condescending and had zero experience in land sale issues. She was licensed for four years and only handled oceanside condo rentals. I had one brief encounter with her before retaining her for the sale of vacant land. She had filled in at a property showing, and I had sensed her lack of skills. Time didn't improve anything, she was a total nightmare! She did little to earn her commission. She even told me, that people were horrible, and she got social security and an airline pension (former flight attendant). In other words........real estate was not a priority for her. Towards the end of her representation, she inadvertently failed to disconnect our phone call. She told her friend, that I was the client who loved to hear herself talk! I later confronted her and she offered me another realtor. We were near closing, so I declined. The Title Agent, said she made zero contact with her. I had been solo receiving contracts and getting nothing but personal insults when I passed on terms and conditions from a few potential buyers. She never showed at the closing or even called me! My mother was a seasoned Realtor...... but she had passed away. This Realtor simply didn't care about anything. I had several other real estate transactions prior to this situation; NO OTHER REALTOR WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!

I need to find OUT HOW TO KNO IF A REALTOR DOUBLE CROSS U, I AM SUSPECTING AGENT, BECAUSE EACH TIME I FIND A HOME within my budget she try to talk me out of it, knowing that I am the one doing all the house hunting, AND THEN SEND THEM TO HER ,A house could be on the market for awhile and as soon as I call her and give her the home ITS PENDING, and THIS IS all the time, 2 months and SHE HAVE only send me 1 LISTEN. So I need to kno how can I tell if she HAVE sold any of the homes THAT I SEND HER TO ANY OF HER CLIENTS. NEED HELP

Based on your note my guess would just be that she is lazy but I do love a little detective work. Sometimes on Zillow you can see who the buyers agent is. Also you could look her up on Zillow and her sales and they may come up. I think either way you need another agent who you trust and who sends you listings

I have a VA buyer who wants to change jobs and asked if that’s ok. I said it might not be a good idea but would check with his lender and discuss with him in detail. Clients usually go to realtors for ALL the questions. Not my lane…

My realtor do not read. She literally do not read the documents she sends to me. If the seller/agent sends a disclosure document and do not answer all the questions on the document, why are you sending it to me. Its a lot of Yes and No questions on the form. Check to see if the form is complete. Their are reasons why sellers leave questions unanswered. So later on, they can say, I missed that question on the form. Also, why am I checking the realtors work. I CAN JUST SCREAM!!!!!

Okay so my husband got approved for a VA loan. We saw a house we liked that was for sale. He told us that it was a short sale that it would be hard to get it. He pretty much discouraged us from getting the house. There was another house that was in forclosure and also told us around the same thing. I’m the type of person who likes to see all options and to at least try and see what happens. But to me personally I feel like he doesn’t even want to try to get us homes with certain obstacles, like short sale homes. By the way we are first time homebuyers so we don’t know how this works. Am I on the wrong?

I don’t see why a short sale would be an issue with va of you are not in a rush. The issue with a short sale is unless it is already approved by the bank it may never happen. That is with any loan. Just another option for you Jennifer! My neighbor down the street is Welsh and he pronounces it Ree-ale-tor. I unfortunately had to fire my listing realtor. He thought the market was so hot that he could just skip alot of the work and still sell my homes. It would be super helpful for some people out there to do a video on what not to accept from listing realtors as well. I started watching your videos while I was looking for our next house and loan, while selling our current at the time. Thanks for all the good info!

I've hired more than one bad one over the years and fired several for good reason. Sometimes, it's hard to see how bad they are until after you've hired them. With that said, you know when they are not performing the way they should and you should not question yourself or feel bad for firing them. Do not delay... get rid of them. And this is why you should avoid hiring friends and family with whom you have to maintain a relationship outside of your realtor needs.

Not sure how the whole home buying/selling process work,but I saw a house going for 190k and my realtor puts in a offer for 225k. I feel like why go so high,I feel some type of way cause she keep doing this and I still can’t close a deal. It’s been a year now,I’m the one sending her homes that popped up on Zillow,har and etc. I don’t know how to feel anymore

I wish I could have dumped my realtor when I was buying a home she made me sign a contract saying I couldn't buy a house with anyone else. She sold me a house she had listed and was completely dishonest. I tried to look at different places but she always said they denied my offer even one that was one the market for over a year. When I asked for a disclosure she was very defensive and refused. She said the seller did not live in the house but later found out that was a lie. The plumbing in the house just over flowes in other bathrooms. Cracks in the foundation ect they had things covering these issues when we made the offer.

Agree about listing agents not wanting to work with your agent. If your offers are getting passed on with no explanation, or similar winning offers are being accepted (you’ll see from following the closing data) then maybe people just don’t want to work with your agent or trust them.

This so true everyone should read before they sign anything.my realtor sent me document electronically and I sign where I declined inspection and by the time I try to hire a inspector I was told I declined and had to call realtor and they told me it’s was the only way to win the house in this market.I’m disappointed even tho I like the house but kind of a gamble now because I’ll probably loose my earnest money if I back out of deal.

When I would watch House Hunters it seemed like every single episode the realtor would totally disregard their client’s budget or some other really important feature & trick them into falling in love with a property only to reveal that it’s way over budget afterwards... that always pissed me off I’m glad that’s not supposed to be ok like I thought, idk why they would always do that on the show like it was perfectly normal

I am a first time buyer, my realtor told me not to worry about the slight uneven flooring on a end of the living room. She verbally told me "don't worry, the foundation will be covered in the home warranty" after the closing, I called the warranty company, only to be told "we don't cover foundations, who told you that, plus we don't cover any pre existing conditions for the issues we do cover" I trusted her being a first time buyer, I'm by no means a wealthy person, what are my recourses, is she financially liable for lying to me? No, she told me verbally, I don't have it in writing about the home warranty covering the crawl space, can she be sued?

I signed a buyer exclusivity agreement. How do I cancel the agreement? Do I write a letter? I don't want to use that realtor anymore.

I would look at the terms of the contract. Offer if you contact the Realtors broker you can get out if the Realtor will not let you.

I can’t go for a realtor telling me no if I tell them that I want to see a property. If that particular time is bad that’s okay, but even that shouldn’t be a frequent occurrence if I’m asking during reasonable times, but if I want to see a property, that’s for me to decide. This is my life decision and I’ll be stuck living there and paying the mortgage, not the realtor or the lender. The realtor and the lender are there to assist and to offer particular expertise, but my process is my process for deciding where I want to try to buy.

My realtor goes to the bathroom at every place we look at. We were so embarrassed when he did that with tenants in the house. My broker said we are making a name for ourself in our hometown and it's not in a good way (the realtor is not even from this state). Then he said we are making them look bad because we backed out of two properties that were really bad deals. I want to get out but the realtor is an old colleague I used to work with.

We are listing. Had not signed yet. Realtor/Property Prep went on vacation as we are prepping. Gets back and he does not respond on contractor questions. We get to end and go to list. He delays us another month because he’s going on vacation again. We signed with another realtor and were pre listed in 4 hours. Pictures on Tuesday. First clue was he never had anything nice to say to us and constantly talked our pricing down 40k below market.

Should realtors give you an idea of how much to bet on a house if we really want it? I’m upset that we bet so close to the asking price because later I come to find out that Zillow has a way higher value for the house and the other people offered something closer to that which I would’ve definitely been willing to pay.

I boost up my lender so much it’s CRAZY! I won’t answer one question and that’s not my job. I say call her she’s AWESOME! As she is and has helped me since almost day one. (Im almost 4 years being a realtor) However I have to say I wish out here in the realtor world things are cut and dry however they are not. Seems like everyone is a realtor now days and when you get a client you try hard to make it work. Sometimes that means my clients making me look like a complete ass! I’ve stayed up at nights running comps on track homes and bringing pages and pages and pages on comps that I could have a house I feel almost to the dollar of what we can get. Then I get hit with the “ well ya that’s great and all and thanks for your book of knowledge and info but I realllly don’t want to leave anything on the table so I want to ask like 100k over on a 600k house. And I try and educate and get nowhere then when it doesn’t sell they say it’s my fault for not pricing it right! 🤦‍♂️😩Or another I’ve seen is just like you say they are talking about loans from like 1980 that they want me to make sure they can use! I’m like hey man that’s not my bag LIKE I SAID call my awesome lender! This is the worst and I mean the WORST is I can’t even tell you how many times I get this crap! They ask me to reach out to the listing agent when a house has been on the market clearly priced to sell QUICK for like a day yup 1 DAY ask if they have any offers yet. I try and accommodate what my clients like so I hit them with a quick call or text if they don’t answer as everyone texts no and don’t take calls. From here this goes two ways one they respond with no offer yet in hand but expecting a lot as did a open house and had 20 people say they are writing offers tonight. Then my client ONLY HEARS “NO OFFER” then they want me to throw some stupid crazy low offer on a house that’s already listed low to sell. Or if they say ya we have offers then they say ok we got this we want to offer like 5k over asking as I bet all the offers in are for asking price! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I try once again to say hey this is a hot market I just barely closed a house for 60k over for clients after writing 40 offers on different houses all well over asking that I couldn’t even get a call back saying we didn’t get excepted. And then these clients say this line that makes me want to go find the nearest bridge and jump!! Ready for it????? “Well it looks like this house also wasn’t meant to be!” Then off I go with them to look at a dozen more houses and a dozen more lowball offers! 😩😩😩

Christina Stoicescu is crooked. On a Friday I was told to give my best and final offer on 140 Vail Ln Warren NJ. That Sunday morning I was told they would decide that night. Sunday night, after she already had everyone's best and final offer, I get an email saying to once again submit my best and final offer by Tuesday. She said to submit it to a different realtor, she was now also representing a buyer. Wednesday morning I got her boss to admit that her client was the one that was chosen. Now her ~$21,000 commission is $42,000 for double dipping. How is that legal?

I went to many open houses and finally found what I liked. I talked to the seller's agent and he said he'll be happy to send me the inspection report they have. I contacted my realtor (lovely woman) and she said she'll be more than happy to represent me. Once she received the inspection report, she said: "You have to sign a buyer contract with me if you want to see the inspection report". She said she is doing that to protect the seller. By signing the contract, I could "only" buy that house with her. I said no and dumped her. Was I unreasonable? Anyone? By the way, I contacted the seller's agent and he emailed me the complete inspection report in 10 minutes.

What if….the realtor doesn’t really have any red flags, but just doesn’t feel personable. Is it better to pick a realtor in the area I want to buy in? The realtor we are working with doesn’t really specialize in the city we are interested in.

Can you do a video on buyers/sellers agent agreement? I think they have a 6 months contract to represent you. If you purchase a home in that time period with another agent they still get a commission off of your sale.

I see it in about 1 out of every 100 transactions. It is not common in any state. Also just important to note If you are a VA buyer you cannot pay any portion of your Realtors commission

How can I dump after signing an exclusive agreement in NH. The agent is also the broker. I have an FHA and she never responds when I ask to see home that will clearly pass FHA but will respond when one only has potential. When we arrive at the possible passing she will only go over the negative and tell me “I have to listen to her because she’s been doing it for 30 years”. Like she literally does not reply when it’s a definite passable property. I honestly feel like she doesn’t want to help us and is just wasting our time. I send her homes all the time that she won’t respond to. She also told me inappropriate things about her life and said “I shouldn’t be telling you this, but it’s ok you don’t know anyone I know”. Like how does she know that for sure an definitely an assumption. I’m so upset and stressed because I honestly don’t trust her. When I brought up that she’s being very negative she said “No I’m not I’m just realistic”. Again when I send properties that are clearly able to pass she ignores me. She even asked my husband to give a family member of hers a referral when they get out of prison. This is a nightmare as a first time home buyer. I feel like I’m in a relationship with an unruly owner of a business. Any answer or help is greatly appreciated! Prayer to all FHA buyers! I don’t think it’s going to be easy but it is possible! People are still doing it every day!

Wow this is super similar to a story another person just posted about a Realtor on our kasey and lasey video. You might want to look at the comment to see if you have the same realtor. I would ask to get out of the contract. or contact a highly regarded realtor in the area and see if they have advise. But yes I hat you are describing sounds really negative and unprofessional.

She told me she is licensed in MA, VT and NH when I tried to tell her we were going with someone else for MA she said that realtor would have to pay her a referral fee even though she didn’t refer her. Then she noticed she didn’t add MA to the contract and was snarky that she couldn’t charge her. Thank you for your advice… Truly appreciate it!

Im trying to buy raw land, in cash, I have the money, no loans involved at all. One realtor simply never emailed me back, the one I have now , we talked on the phone and Im interested in a property- so afterwards she emailed me asking me for 1. a bank statement from my bank 2. my drivers permit. OK, I see why they might want my ID, for safety reasons if they are meeting strangers at places, etc...but since I am paying cash, why does she need to see my bank statement, esp. since Im not locked in on the property yet.

The fact she asked for those two things are signs she is a good agent. Just as a loan is verified with a preapproval, Cash needs to be verified with a bank statement before a Realtor shows you property. It is for safety but also to make sure you can perform. Sadly in this day and age a lot of people lie so everything needs to be verified.

Yikes if she is already on the contract that is an issue. I just responded to a similar question above. In fairness to her are these email questions? Email in my world is always the worst so I tell everyone to call me if I don't respond. So much junk mail these days. If she is ghosting you after you call that is a different story. When all is said and done leave an honest review of your experience on yelp or google. I never wish bad reviews on anyone however how can people protect others if we don't call BS when it is

The realtor can’t control the home owners insurance. I would get more quotes. If the house has peeling paint and house is pre 1978 it could be worth testing otherwise I personally have never had paint tested. They are there to help you but also try to keep you on solid ground

I told my Realtor that I needed wait until the weekend after open house to see if theirs any other offer and Realtor keep pressuring me to accept the offer. What should I do? Depends on the offer. If I had a full price offer and only one prior to the weekend I would take it and still have open House and accept back up offers. I wouldn’t take less then ask prior to the open house. But that is just my personal opinion and it really depends on your market

In my contract with the buyer's agent, they are putting down their commission as 3% and saying if the seller has listed a lower buyer's agent commission, such as say 2%, then I am responsible for paying the agent the remaining 1%. Is such a condition normal?

I got a referral from a friend to a broker since my case is hard to get a loan. She said she can look up the guidelines from lenders to see which fits for me best. I have a condo and would like to upgrade to a single family home, she also offered let her sell it for me and also find me a new home. I agreed, but she takes too long to do everything. Took her like a week to get back to me on the loan part. She came over to my place to see my condo last Friday and go over with price and listing. As of today, a week after, I still haven’t heard from her regarding when is she gonna send me the contract, what’s her fees and when is she gonna list my house 😅. Is this a bad sign??

She said we have to be patience, don’t rush. Ok… 🙄. How do I report a realtor to the licensing board? We are currently working with a realtor and he’s trying to extort another 3% out of us stating that two out of seven are paying HOA fees so he wants an additional 3%. Is this legal? He’s trying to get an extra $9000 out of us to sell our condo. Can you please advise me because this does not seem legitimate and it seems more like extortion. If you could please advise me or I could have the licensing board advise me. Thank you.

Yes reach out to their broker and tell them it is not a good fit and you would like to be released. Generally the agent will release you and you don’t have to go to broker

You are so right. I have a realtor I'm working with now who almost got fired! She has just been doing some things I don't like. Including pressuring me to take a house I don't 100% love. Long story short, we put a bid on a house, lost the bid. We moved on. The seller contacted us about 2 weeks later to see if we still wanted the house because the initial buyer backed out. I didn't feel like I wanted to accept the house because I emotionally moved on plus I felt we could find something better. She convinced us to do it because she felt "we might not get another offer accepted in this market" because we're contingent . 🙄🙄 She was not optimistic at all. I let her know I didn't appreciate her approach. She apologized. But I would never recommend her. Ever. She's just not professional enough for my liking but we signed a 6 month agent contract with her. So we decided to just stick with her and get this over with!😔😔😔

I know, I know!!!🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️We only did it because we like the house and are wearing ourselves down looking at houses in our price range and not finding what we need. This house actually has 5 bedrooms , a beautiful yard for our 3 year old and a great school district. For those reasons, we decided to get the house and possibly put it back on the market in 3-5 years to try for our "dream house". We really should've fired her though. We live in NY. The agreement we signed says we signed on with her as our buyer's agent and listing agent. But she was willing to let us go. She begged to stay with us because I think she's worried we will bad mouth her. We would never do that.

MrsShelton226 well if you love the house it makes sense but if you can’t see yourself living there longer then 5 years make sure you 100% are committed before you close.

@@JenniferBeeston I don't love the house but it is nice and has other features that I mentioned which is why i caved and put my own personal feelings to the side and put my kids' needs ahead of mine. I, myself, wanted a house with an open concept and big kitchen. This house doesn't have either but I really believe we can find that next time because we're praying the market won't be like it is now. My agent wasn't optimistic that we would find that kind of house without being overbid by bidders who weren't contingent. Although we have a conventional loan with a good deposit. She felt like cash buyers and non-contingent buyers are winning the bids. 🙄I like positive people! Her and I just don't make a good team. As an agent, I would encourage my clients and not try to convince them to go either way. You want the house? Cool. You don't want the house? Cool. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Let's keep looking. I don't know. No need in crying over spilled milk. We'll make the best of the house while we're there. I'll have over $50,000 of equity coming back to us from the sell of our current house so we're using some of that to at least fix up the kitchen. Thank you for doing these kinds of videos! @@mrsshelton226 thanks for this story. I signed a buyers contract too but in it it states I can back out before 6 months are over. My realtor is very lax. He has me on automatic email list for houses but they Are the same houses I’m finding so I was hoping he could find something I can’t. He never asked me what kind of mortgage I wanted to have or anything. I’m not working with a lot of money and I feel like he isn’t fully understanding my financial situation and can’t bid up to and over my budget. He wants me to use savings to pay off all my bills so I can bid all high but I’m not trying to spend every Nickel I have. I don’t always feel like we mesh but is that a petty reason to dump him? I feel kinda stuck.
