Bad decisions always haunt you in the end. When Black played pawn to b6, it was obviously done to move his bishop to b7, yet he spent almost 30 seconds for that move. That much time would have been enough in the end to get a draw or even a win.

Yes the "obvious" idea Bb7 was there before the pawn structure changed. After the change in structure and a pawn is on d5, the bishop is very passive on b7. At that point there are other ideas you can look at, such as Nb4 with a5 or bd7. Not saying those are better options, but its worth looking at

Vidit tried to offer a draw at the end by repeating the moves with his queen @9:22 but he was winning, why would he want to do that ? 🤔🤔

was it draw at that point?

@@danhphamthanh197 Yes, if the opponent had moved his King back to the corner after Vidit's 3rd repetition of his queen. because the opponent also repeated his moves twice with his King, So 3rd time same position means that would hv been ended in a draw. but that didn't happen in the game.

By the time Vidit started repeating moves, it seems the position was drawn at that point. Vidit was winning a couple moves earlier but apparently he had blundered into a draw, according to the engine.
