Very similar situation when I was thinking of changing jobs. Can't do summer cause that is for fun / travel. Takes a 2-3 months prep and interviewing to get another job. Before you know it, it is the holiday season so can't do it. So i will start studying in Jan / Feb. But then it is end of year review time and time to hand out the bonuses in march / april. So yeah, another year gone.
