My dad was a very good singer and guitar player and I learned to sing harmony on songs with him. So I decided to do my own harmony on the song 'Down In The Valley'. I think it came out pretty darn good! #harmony #oldsongs #duetsong
@solarcabin that's a good way to record...double or triple your vocals. You sounded great Lamar! You were very fortunate to have a dad ljke that. Must've been awesome!👍😎🎶🎶🎶🎶
My grandfather was a music teacher and vocal trainer plus a preacher. He was born in 1886 so I knew someone from the 1800s. Ha! He taught me to sing at a very early age and my aunt taught me piano but I became a drummer. A car accident wiped my memory of piano and traveling and playing drums became more and more painful because of a neck injury. So at age 35 I quit playing drums and asked a guitar player if I could borrow his acoustic. I did so well that he gave it to me. In recent years my neck problems and joint pain got so bad that I could no longer play. I went to physical therapy and all my doctors demanded that I play guitar again. So I kinda had to start over but I`ve been able to do it again...just not the same way. You should get an acoustic guitar and learn the "Cowboy Chords." You can play thousands of songs with them. I guarantee you can do it because you can sing. Learn this song on guitar. That`s how you start. My first one was "Sleep in Your Arms" by Willie Nelson.
I play guitar well enough to back my own singing but not like I would like to play. I cut some finger tips and lost the feeling in them making it hard to play now.
