I became a mature student a single mother.. went without to feed my kids.. had s breakdown,on meds for life after two strokes and became a clinical psychologist..it can happen if you're determined enough.

Her daughter will bring her out of poverty, she comes across as mature and responsible. Hopefully she doesn't get pregnant and single mom and perpetuates the same cycle..

Andrea has a dream but dreams can’t be kept on hold forever, many students of all ages with children do get help with childcare even though the bursary has been scrapped, and it may be a bit easier for Andrea if she’s going into teaching she may only need a childminder for the morning and after school club. From what I know trainee teachers are paid well during the degree course and if Andrea needs to do an access course there are many colleges that have crèches that fit around school hrs, plus studying would mean most likely she would only need childcare term time only. It’s only a matter of time before the government cuts the help parents get for student finance, so Andrea should definitely get some careers advice on her course before it’s too late...

@Dharmic Firedon't say that some people have two or three kids when they were married but got divorce and most fathers will refuse to care for their kids after divorce or separation from the kids mother

If the government paid for or run nursery schools that would make things easier for all working people and why should people that will be able to pay tax be left aside because they have children that the government should be helping all parents with if they want everyone to work

If the entire Indian ethnicity were so motivated to excel in education, would they not be a first world country by now. well she chose to have kids, it's not our problem that she had them. We know they cost money but why not wait and save up for few years until she could afford it? no wonder she quit her job and now living off of benefits i got no sympathy for her, it's her choice now she lives with the consequences.

There are people that work very hard, don’t earn a lot compared to some people, but are happy with their lot and are happy. But there are also people who work very hard but they don’t think ahead, so there’s not career progression. And then there are some people that moan about their place in life instead of knuckling under, planning their next move, and working towards it. They moan that the rich have always been rich and they never do anything and all that kind of stuff when really a lot of well off people didn’t start well off, but did they moan about it? No, they created a goal and worked towards it. You can get whatever you want in life, if you want it that badly you’ll work hard enough to get it.

Agree, its actually a decent sized with spacious bedrooms. If it had less clutter and they did it up nice they wouldn't be complaining about living there. And if she had one less kid it would be a perfect place for her.

Well yeah. The actual episodes are 45 minutes long. Sometimes the rich people help out the poor people. Pay off debts, offer them a job, pay for training. Other times people are just inspired and have their eyes opened to the world a bit more

I just watched a story of a mom with 3 kids. Her husband died suddenly of a heart attack. Sometimes people go through things but I’ve seen a lot of people having kids like it’s their job.

If she works (most likely a low paid job) she will have to pay childcare, which is not cheap in the UK and any benefits she is receiving will be axed significantly so she'll be worse off. Foward planning, we as a species do not do enough of this. @Polite Comments People have children yes, we all have the capacity to think and plan, and can in most cases have some determination of when we reproduce. If I was struggling to provide for my existing children you can bet I would be do everything in my power not to add more (and be thanking the stars I lived in a time and place that affords that option). On the other hand this society has terrible priorities when it comes to supporting parents to provide for and raise their children well vs forcing them back to work ASAP.
