Fallout 4 has a few really nice looking armor sets, but their poor defensive stats and lack of Pocket mods continuously force me to use armor pieces instead.

About the super-modern looking weapon: even if it feels out of place in F4, it's actually canon for the series. P90 was a thing in vanilla Fallout 2 and M4 Carbine in New Vegas.

Even Aang can favor something that looks super sick and completely opposes his nomadic lifestyle. I love it.

For me it's Elder scrolls games: lore friendly mods only with strict few exceptions. Fallout games: lol, imma get halo armors, modern guns and lightsabers

I love lightsaber mods in f4, but they can be incorporated into lore via Institute experiments (as every other Sci-fi mod, tbh).

in fallout new vegas i downloaded an armor mod that gave the option for modern day plate carriers and chest rigs to be an option and after seeing the little patch on the chest was an enclave flag I proceeded to do the play through as if the enclave sent me out as a scout to see what is going on in new vegas and then downloaded the god bless the enclave mod so I can have an enclave side story. It had to be my favorite playthrough of the game.

Some times following the "lore" can be beneficial BUT the game just needs to be fun sometimes. I'll take fun over "realistic" or "lore friendly" ANY day of the week. Especially if a game is NOT PvP. Lol. That's one of the main reasons mods are so great! Also crossing over ATLAB?! Chef's kiss! ROFL. I consistently love this channel. Thanks for posting.

In regards to the description I think the weirdest part of a lot of modern weapon mods (Fallout has had plenty modern weapons in the past) is that they're so clean that they look fresh out of the factory

Fallout 4 changed a lot of details and designs from previous games, fallout 4 glowing feral ghouls were harder to kill than reavers, but in Fallout 3 reavers are harder to kill, and funny enough, in 3 I had an easier time killing deathclaws than reavers. And just look at the difference between Fallout 3 / new vegas' Coffee machines and compare them to Fallout 4 / 76. In 3 and nv; coffee machines were in most houses and buildings, Fallout 4's were only in coffee shops, cafe's, places that sold coffee before the war. And when fallout 4 wrote something into the game then contradicted it. Like when you help the people loot the fallen plane and can find a list of what's in the lock box, on that list it says $40,000, when you loot said box you find 400 pre-war money, making it so 1 pre-war money is $100. But when you go to the bowling alley in that robot show case type area, the robot will say the entry fee is $5,000, so you'd expect to take only 50 pre-war money, no, they literally throw out their own lore that is infact found in the game and they take 5,000 pre-war money out of your inventory. Now, I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty pissed if I was told that I had to pay $5,000 and agree, then they turn around and take $500,000.
