Yes, I have that same complaint a lot of the time. That is the way RU-vid shows you on a phone or tablet. If you watch it on a TV none of that is on the screen. So basically, you find an awl or another pointed screwdriver, put that in the hole in the snap ring. You pry outwards from the shaft with that tool. The problem is it likes to slip off. So then you take a small flat screwdriver or other tool and pry upward on the snap ring, as you are prying outward with the pointed tool. that works it up out of the retaining groove kind of like taking a tire off of a rim. And then you just work the snapring around the shaft until it comes off.
