Yo this is literally what happens every time I have to get a manager at the Walmart I work at. Only difference is my manager will come in and kiss off the customer by saying that they can’t return the item lol.
True I been seeing one person cleaning entire store alone because manager had them do it and another person covering returns by themselves with no help. Also saw employee walk out on them because they were tired of doing stuff by themselves
@@InternalxHD nah fr i applied for floor associate they had me doing janitor shit stockroom cashier and even running the front end when a manager had to step off and get carts 💀
I'm that customer....any type of work is hard and I've done this type of work as a teen and my gaaawwwddd...also worked as a waitress, bargirl...etc....and babaaaaayyyyy never ever again...pls and thanks...(tapping on some wood right now cos you know the universe likes to be funny)
@@letitiasd586 you actually the kind of customer we look out for in retail. Never complain, never stresses over dumb shit, never calls for a manager for the shit i just told them the manager would say. You the person ill pull to a empty register with the closed sign and ring you up then tell everyone after that im closed😂
Accurate, they be leaving you for dead. The worst is when different departments have different managers and they refuse to do anything for different departments even if nothing’s happening on their side.
@@wavxyshaun8799 I once had a custy who wanted a recalled item and they couldn't take a hint so I just say "the register said it's recalled so I can't sell it to you" and they immediately asked for a manager so I'm like bet I'll call her over rn (btw it's a Sunday and I was in Lawn and Garden) so she took a whole 12 mins just to walk over and tell the customer the exact same shit I said to them and all of a sudden they just got uppity with the manager so we voided the transaction and she told them to leave the store. 😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Pontification thats why people take advantage of retail. i know i did. im doing it now but its way more chill where im at. the other retails was cool for me because i was part time and never up front. i feel sorry for full time employees who are stuck at the front end😂😂🤣
I do service work for fire suppression systems, and even at $300 dollars an hour(overtime for two employees, not what we get paid but what is charged for a "time and material job") I've had Walmart managers make me wait almost two hours counting meeting them when I came in to work and waiting for them to sign my paperwork. That's an extra $600 dollars they had to paid just cause they couldn't come meet me right away, how long do you think they make people getting returns wait lol.
I really feel sorry for the rookies working the register an having to deal with some incredibly rude customers if I knew someone was new an I was working with them I’d always stay close by just to make sure everything goes smoothly especially if they were ringing someone up who was being pretty difficult
I got lucky that the hardware store I worked at had the returns desk as part of the cashiers managers desk so anytime something was acting goofy or had a problem customer, I just had to walk 10 feet
@@beni2cc that's how idaho used to be until the California's moved in and infested the state. Now people are not bubbly and will slap the shit out of ya.
I used to work at Walmart and the second most annoying thing after the working hard or hardly working question was the “if it doesn’t scan it’s free 😀” customer. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to fake laugh at that.
One time I scanned like the last 10 dollars of product for free for this one customer. I had enough of it that day and said "I see you don't have enough money since you want this to be free so bad, let me help you out" with a smile on my face. Had my store manager called on me cause she was so insulted and he thought it was hilarious once she left. 10 dollars out of my check to make up for it is a drop in the bucket for that satisfaction of shutting her up
Right?!? Like damn go do your important stuff first that you're in a rush for then come back to do your shopping when you're not in a rush. They be rushing you to get them to help them find shit having you walk all around the store with them to find all their items like you dont have shit to do SMH
@@piecesofme8531 lol if you ain't ever been in that environment then you don't know but if you have you know they be on some bs coming at you like that most times
When the cash register malfunctions and I have to get the manager and the customer gets impatient the anxiety levels for me go up. This happened to me yesterday at my job. Thank you Kay and have a great day.
This is the opposite situation to when your mum goes to get more stuff, and tells you to hold her spot in the line. You get to the till, cashier is done scanning, and the wait for your mum to get back is awkward AF 🤣
Bruh when they come to customer service and they ask you “how’s your day going?” Or “working or hardly working?” That’s when you know they bout to make your day 10 times worst
This just gave me the MEANEST ptsd. When I worked at family dollar all returns and stuff like that had to be done through the manager. I would be screaming for them to come, taking their sweet ass time while my line starts getting long and my anxiety would kick in lmaoo. And there was no “other line” they could go to, 95% of the time I was the only cashier there. Then my manager would finally come with the dirtiest look asking why the line is so long. I hated it there 😭💀
That happened to me a lot when I worked the graveyard shift at circle k. One night I had to work by myself for the first few hours and it was hell. Everything that could go wrong did. I was still fairly brand new, so i didn't know how to cash in scratchers. I happened to have quite a few that night. My line was long the whole time. I didn't even take my required 10 minute break. At one point the EBT machine ran out of receipt paper and I didn't know how to replace it. Minor inconvenience but still a nuisance. No one else was in the store with me, so if something on my register went wrong I was on my own. One of the worst nights of my life.
Holy shit I felt this one. Waiting on the manager to come save you from some overly angry Neanderthal yelling at you. Like dude, I don't make that much money and I'm just some fucking guy here.
they usually pull up when you dont need them/lunch and breaks, call you on your vacations, spawn behind you when finish a task and you chill for a sec but when you need them its like there was never a manager in that store at all
Once when i was working at Best Buy this old guy wanted to return some printer ink. I couldn't find it in the system and when I looked for the item...I saw we never sold that type. He was getting really agitated and started screaming saying he bought it here and wants his $ back. He went off and came back saying he found the receipt and slammed it at the counter. I looked at it, "Sir...you got this at Office Depot as it says on the receipt". He never said a word. Just took the receipt back and walked out quietly lol.
Honestly I be tempted to tell em to get their shit together cuz they always end up screaming, huffing and puffing, it ain't i who end up looking stupid.
One of the stale jokes I genuinely dislike. Because I take it as a trick question. Obviously I answer "working hard" but I tend to be bit honest and say stuff like "eh, hasn't been too busy today" or something. Mm mm Idk, I don't like it. Same with the regular question "working hard?" I mean, it depends. But you see me working
“why are you up-, I’m not even gonna ask.” 😂 that’s too accurate. my managers be asking me the same shii. Idk why I’m up here today! Just help me out! 😂
This brought back memories of when I would attempt to uphold the store return policy and the customer would ask for a manager and the manager would come in and take the customers side and act like I was the problem.
As a manager at a retail store whenever someone calls for help I make sure to be there asap because I know what it feels like to be left alone with no support
this couldn’t be anymore accurate especially the panic of rescanning of the UPC knowing damn well it ain’t gonna work so you know you boutta be there for a few 🤣🤣
I love when you just gotta stand there awkwardly while you wait for your manager to come. You just be looking around tryna come up with stuff to talk about, but they really don't wanna talk with you lol
When I worked a call center there were things the company ONLY wanted handled by a team lead. If there were 3 rows of 20 workers, there were 3 team leads. Around the holidays, 19 out of 20 workers in each row consistently needed a supervisor call. I'll let you imagine how that worked out.
This is a on point, word for word, second for second, accurate representation of what it’s like to work retail. This man just summed up my 10 years of working in retail in 2 and a half minutes.
I had one today where they made me get a manager insisting the item they wanted to return came off the shelf in my store.. it was “up and up” brand, aka Target. I of course work at Walmart. Needless to say they waited for nothing, even the person behind them was like “that’s Target!”
One time I needed a manager to come do something and they were taking a while, the customer kept being like “so they got you out her with no training huh” “man I didn’t know they just send you out here to work with no training” I was so hot bruh like why you gotta say all that.
Unbelievably rude I had a customer who thought they could use their points card which is used to only collect points to pay for their groceries, gets heated and says I need training! I would have caught him outside if I quit that day.
I love how accurate the customers, "Working Hard? Or Hardly Working?" joke is. I used to work retail and I got so irritated hearing that. Every customer would say it with a laugh like they're the first person who's ever thought to say it. And I always wanted to reply, " you're not even the first person to say that joke TODAY. In fact, you're the 5th just since I got back from lunch"
I a cashier at Walmart so I know what it’s like wen people come through my line with alcohol and I have to get a team lead or coach to come for a keyturn🤣🤣🤣🤣
I never worked as cashier, but I worked as as a door greeter at Walmart for years. One of my tasks was printing labels for returns. Sometimes a problem, such as the printer being slower, would happen. Some customers would mouth off over something like that, which was beyond my control. Out of all the rude ones I dealt with, only a very small number of them would later apologize.
I was in school to be a pharmacist and I had to do some tech work for some training hours. Man I did that shit for one week and change my whole major. There’s no way a human can live like that Monday-Friday. That job need to be for robots. That job and Starbucks in the airport are the two stressful jobs I ever had in my life
This brings back way too many horrible memories of waiting at the checkout on your manager to come over and you need to make that awkward small talk with the customer just so they don’t lose it. The trying once more to put it through is the perfect way to grab yourself a few minutes of restbite from having to just awkwardly talk to anyone.
Only took me 3 weeks working at Home Depot to realize just how much people seem to enjoy verbally beating up on retail workers. Also realize now that I used to be one of those people 🤣🤣
I always hit em with “oh yeah? I can tell” with my eyes wide and then I just keep trucking and leave it up the customer’s interpretation of why I said that.
@@Mattm182 I usually say "you did a good job, do you have some you could give me?" Damn customers think I came up with that on the spot every time 🤦♂️
I had a long day..and came here for a good laugh...and LMAO... this man needs a role in a movie..his content is too accurate...we can relate to his jokes..
Bruh I work in Walmart seasonal and occasionally get called up to do register. I didn't get any training aside watching my manager do it, if you know how much I relate to this video..... Gosh😭😭💀💀
Worked at Dollar General for almost 4yrs. We lowly cashiers had to wait _every single time_ for the ASM or SM to do our returns/exchanges or to take an item off the purchase. I never became 3rd key since I’d be working longer hours for 50 cents more an hour so screw that. This is pretty accurate tho LOL
I don't have Walmart experience, but when we ask OUR managers for help with something while a customer is waiting, they wanna quiz us on the policy by asking us ALL the details of why we need their help (like we didn't already tell them), then reciting the official policy to us, and then asking us one step at a time "Did you ____? Okay then did you try ___?" Meanwhile the customer is still acting crazy with us.
Bro the worst part is when you have someone trying to return something that’s not even sold at Walmart. For example Store brand drills that are only sold at Home Depot or insignia TVs that are only sold at Best Buy. Customer try to argue and tell u they got it here yeah no way KAREN!
I worked the service desk at Walmart. A customer brought in some cans to recycle that weren't in the recycling machine's registry, despite being carbonated and having a deposit listed with my state on top. The support manager got involved when the customer asked for a return voucher and ordered me to refuse. There were three cans. Thirty cents. She pulled me aside and told me I had to tell him we couldn't take them. I walked back over, made a return voucher for three cans and sent the customer along. The support manager immediately pulled me into the store manager's office and made me explain myself. It ended with a "listen to her next time." All she wanted out of it was to assert her authority. But she was a joke. Her job was to walk around and put in a password, and her getting involved usually resulted in me getting yelled at by customers and making my day harder than it needed to be. When I finally transferred out of that store, the last hour of my last shift, she found me and told me I should be grateful, because apparently she had the final say in whether or not I got the transfer. I told her "Yeah whatever, Miss Walmart. I didn't ask you," before walking away from her ass. Most obnoxious supervisor I've ever had in my career, and let me tell you: I've had a long career.
I HATED that workin at sams😂 wait bout up to 30 mins for dem to do a lil key turn or sum dat take 5 seconds😂💀💀 they be walking like they tryna do a dam grand entrance or sum
This is literally how I feel when I'm waiting for someone to come take over an escalated call at my job.. Customer already be mad and I gotta wait til you ready. 🙄
Am I the only customer that comes prepared? 🤣🤣🤣🥴I always have my receipt with the item marked on the receipt so they don’t have to look thru each one 🤷🏾♀️
If there is a rewards card, I have that and my payment ready. I also don't put my items that I am buying on the counter in a jumbled up mess. I feel like I'm the only person that does that. Lol.
Guess it’s a bit different being at a bank, but I just kick back and bullshit around with the customer. Just gotta print out a sudoko puzzle and you’re good lmao
anybody ever had they manager fix a problem u been having with a customer purchase for like 30 minutes only for the next person to have the same problem u just be sitting there praying that a manager come help and its always when theres like 1 register opened so u either gotta call other co workers alongside the manager glad i dont gotta do that anymore yall know that struggle.
Its wild to me that people do uncommon shit and just expect it to be simple. Customer Service has went crazy of the years and customers are entitled assholes lol. I don't have to return shit for you. You don't have a receipt, I can just send you home. People be so mad when they are in the wrong and expect you to just do whatever they want. "I bought this here, no receipt, its broken and out the box, I paid cash, and I don't remember what day I bought it. I need a refund, now!" Then wanna act like its crazy they have to wait for a managers approval or that the word "No" could even possibly be the outcome. Going to a store in a rush where you only have a few minutes is retarded unless you are just going in to get something quick that is easily accessible. Quick drink, pack of gum, cups for a party, snacks, light bulb, drano, toilet tissue, etc.... Quick in and out. You coming for a specialized item or to do a customer service related thing; bitch you should of waited till you had time. Come on your day off; or it wasn't that important *shrug* Fuckin clowns lol
@@dakota9821 You gonna tell my child that he shouldn't care when people misuse his diagnosis? It's no different than when people use "gay" to describe something stupid. Forgive me for being a "Karen" about treating people with respect. gtfoh.
When I used to be a bank teller I constantly had to get managerial override for cashing checks over a certain amount. It was a pain in the butt to wait for that manager to show up. The customers used to cuss me out for making them late to work or wherever.
I remember working for Walmart and I had to hustle hustle hustle but my manager could take her sweet ass time, just so leisure and comfortable while employees have to handle irate customers.
