It’s wonderful to hear Ray Antony’s Big Band playing this fine selection of melodies. It takes me back 70 years when my wife and I started to go to dancing classes! That gives you an idea of how old I am !! - this is my favourite type of big band jazz even after all these years.

...y pasando la puerta celestial, oh sorpresa, soy recibido con esta espectacular obra de arte musical y...Ray dando a San Pedro algunas explicaciones acerca de como fue gestado este excepcional trabajo, por que Nuestro Señor está interesado en conocer a fondo todos los detalles y es que toda la corte celestial se contonea siguiendo tan delicioso sonido y...oh, Nuestro Señor chasquea los dedos y mueve su cabeza siguiendo este pegajoso y sutil ritmo...SIIII, Nuestro Señor baila y le hace señas a San Pedro que me lleve a su mesa de trabajo, lo que es sabido significa un perdón total porque se me reconoce como el más importante fan de Ray. Gracias Amado Padre Celestial, gracias Ray, gracias hermano Pedro. Maravillas del arrebatamiento. Estoy en la gloria !!!

Ruego a los músicos que comiencen a estudiar estas técnicas interpretativas, formas de " arreglar", estudiar ENSAMBLE en Big Band y seccional. Eso es es ser ARTISTA. Al mismo tiempo hace que nuestras culturas se fortalezcan. Lleguen a ser escultores del SONIDO musical. Doy gracias a quienes subieron esta joya.

Smooth and relaxing album of swing jazz made by the great Ray Anthony, still alive. I loved all the 12 songs, all classics.

This must have been an arrangement done by Tom Kubis. I have played this very same chart many times, and it never gets old! Tom wrote a lot of great charts for the late Jack Sheldon, also a great jazz vocalist and trumpet player. Nice to hear it again, btw, I am referring to When You're Smiling.Too Marvelous for Words also has to be another Tom Kubis chart!
