I thought that he was going to do something special. 12' lumber through a 10' door and had to get off and adjust it by hand. That was an everyday thing when I worked making portable buildings.
I don’t drive no way I just fix them when you tear them us I see a service call coming soon for steer tire I will be waiting then it’s a hurry up that’s the only truck
Most people would call the dispatch office and tell them I’m leaving the load outside like it or not..... this man obviously loves his job and his integrity in making the customer happy is his priority. All the laws and regulations of the this world go to shamble when a man like this is in charge. Good stuff sir
Coming from a less than a yr experience forklift driver all you had to do was reverse and head towards the left side of the door (where the chair is)and swerve to the left to get parallel with the wall and swerve to the right and whuala you're in. Ps. Lmao ive unloaded rail that's 17-20 ft long. Which is probably longer than those logs and learned myself after about 10mins stuck on how to get it
I work at a fabrication shop with over ten lasers that I take material to and from. try doin that with sheet metal, there ain’t no moving 1inch steel by hand, or try skimming a sheet of 12ga of the top of a bundle, the real forklift driver must of been sick that day lol
That guy is pretty good at forklift my dad gets huge 18000lbs oil drilling equipment that is a little bit longer in less time and turns through the same width and height door.
If you ask me looks like he was having alot of trouble do it every day with 16ftL x 5ftD X 5ftT pallets. On a standard sitdown forklift with only 12ft wide doors in. 1/4 or a little less of the time he just spent plus pick up quarter's off the ground got a hole team that almost never has to get out of their seat
Probably could have backed in a lot easier and faster. Pull up parallel to the building with the center of the load against the left side of the door, crank the wheel all the way and swing it right in
Take a stack that's 23 feet long through a 12 foot door then you can compare notes with me. Now do that at a speed where you can get other things done in a day
Floyd Smyth that's what I was going to say. he would have failed journeyman course at our hall. one correction, and you definitely don't get off the machine.
What are you gushing about? Lol He hooked through a doorway. He would have done it faster if he were on a different machine that he could have set the load down when he wanted to. Instead, he just pushed the boards over by hand.
if the door is too small for the load the, get one side of load through the door, push your forks to the side of the packet that through the door, drive through door, its not exactly rocket science
i would have just put my forks in the middle of the bundle vertically and lifted just enough for it to not touch the ground and go straight in with it saving time and company money
Normal day at a lumber yard. That forklift has way more adjustment then a standard lower tier forklift. Try doing all that with a shitty dirt/gravel lot
A lil slow for me...at my job if you can't get it quickly, you'll get replaced with someone who can. .not fired but a gofer. So you better get better or practice after work.
All these comments are said with out knowing how many bundles went inside this warehouse. This video was taken with only the final bundle going into the warehouse. Ps Taking care of your customers is a plus .
Use to do this with 9m bar throught 4 m doors. He turns with the load raised big no no in Oz. Then he made the load unbalanced. Still its not like he is shit just not a full time forky
I would have picked them up long ways but then again that is a small lift could have possibly tipped over UNLESS u pick em up lpng ways from the floor and just kept ot inches off the ground either its a trick most of you guys prolly haven't seen before wish i could post a pic with my comment to show
Ummm Getting off the forklift = Disqualified. Moving the load with hands= Disqualified. Taking a half hour to do 5 minutes work= Disqualified. Probably daddy's company.
