Apparently, she had some random job at a spring factory; so, not much of a risk in taking a leap with this new venture. I would wager that even if she flames out quickly, she'll have made way more money than she would have over the course of many years at the factory job.
@leonnunhofer3453

Yep, I agree. Just invest. Play it safe, don't gamble with growth titles if it's that much. If you invest in certain industries, like cars, you will get 3 - 6 percent in returns, and it's very unlikely, that f.e. BMW or BenQ will go broke in the near future. BMW gives over 6.5%, BenQ around 3.5%, and both grew the last few years. Lockheed Martin gives around 3% and grew. Rheinmetall gave something like 5%, now 1%, because the share went up 400% since 2022. Just a few examples. Computer monitors, cars snd weapons always will sell. I am german, if I "just" had 2 million, I would invest in 4 or 5 different, big companies in the US and Germany, cars, weapons, something else, and I would get 6k, maybe 7k a month, and wouldn't have to worry about money ever again. Also get 1 apartment, 2 or 3 rooms, and some gold. He made millions in the early 2010, since then prices for real estate are way up, and gold also something like 40%. I think, with millions, it's not to hard to make sure, you never have to work again. Buying an apartment, so you don't have to pay rent, and investing in some huge, well known companies, that most likely won't get broke, really is a no-brainer. How can someone be that rich and fail so hard? That's pathetic! 🤦‍♂️ Edit: ofc that's no financial advice, just some of the titles I myself was interested in between around 2009 and now...

When something like "Hawk Tuah" makes you famous, that's a sign your society is broken
@JacoWium

Agreed. The fame is only relative though. Very few (perhaps not even 1%) of those who live and work in professional environments, who have their own families to care for and who have lives outside the internet know about that video or have any idea who she is. Those are the people that matter, who ensure that our society still functions and can sustain itself. The chronically online community, as large as it is, is thankfully still a subculture, and certainly not an environment for a long career and a stable income. But yes, I know, times are always changing. When "influencer" type ventures become the norm above careers in science, engineering, architecture, carpentry, etcetera - that's when the real doodoo will strike the fan.

Sooo many jobs out there because people think they’re above the average wage. My dad got laid off back in 2008 and started pushing carts for Walmart because everything he applied for “he was over qualified for”. No one would hire him because they truly didn’t want him to take over… so he started pushing carts. It only lasted a few months before someone hired him for a job he was qualified for. When the creators viewers outpace in maturity than the creator they simply look for more informative content makers, if your content only appeals to children, your humor, logic etc, At some point your viewers grow up get jobs, start families and world views. Loyal viewers can be made if you continue the trend of maturity and humor and entertainment is definitely an industry withstanding.

pride is perhaps one of the things. but lets be honest here. people who dont want to work always comes from an entitled life without the least amount of struggle in life. put it this way. the moment people experience hunger or being constantly poor. they will do whatever job or task that bring food to their table. Pride isnt what drives this people because Pride can only maintaine itself if you have something that backs it up. for example either comes from a secury financially place or if you have the ability to leech onto someone elses success. Pride can also be a positive outcome on people who dare i say. has the ability to prove themselves being better than the rest. professional athletes is a good example of this.

Shame on him for going broke! He had millions! Just invest in shares, with millions you can play it safe and invest in industry titles. You easily get 3% in returns, with some companies, f.e. cars, over 6%. So between 30k and 60k a year pet million invested. Brett said, he made millions. If it's "just" 5 million, after taxes, and he most likely made more, invest just 2 million in some shares, and you easily will have 5k a month, most likely more. Most people in america have less. He made this money in the early 2010s. Invest another 500k in an apartment and 250k in gold, and he would have ~400k in gold and a great life right now. He could lose his apartment and all his investments, and still would have enough money in gold for a few years. How can someone fail so badly? How can someone be that stupid? Going viral today is similar to the One Hit Wonders of the 80’s. I was just watching the Osborne podcast and Ozzy and some guy were talking about people that go viral temporarily and make some money think they can make a permanent career off of it. People are fickle and will eventually lose interest in you. You can’t rely on something like that. There will always be someone else that comes along and outdoes you.

This is the psychology behind this internet fame. That young girl makes one video where she said and did something sleezy, which she has now gone viral for. Now she is typecasted from the get-go as that type of woman. So she will need to lean even further into that image for this popularity to continue or grow, and Lord knows how far into the gutter that can go. When you fail to learn skills or gain knowledge then you can offer nothing but selling your good name and image for money. Meaning you have no power.

It's a funny thing is fame. A close relative of mine became very famous for a short time some decades ago. So famous she could read headlines at a train station printed and dispatched and being sold in a newspaper in the time it took her to make the train journey. She was looking at her own face on a frontpage walking past real people stood next to her who could see her in real life looking at that front page reading about things she had done two hours ago. It was a weird time and an unpleasant experience. For the vulnerable person it could be highly addictive though with the dopamine hit of attention. My relative lived as a recluse for a few years to make it go away. People still contacted her years later and its only a few clicks away on Google so her work colleagues always find her backstory. The internet never forgets. That is what social media is doing to people.

I was about to drop some Bible verses about how sinful and evil it is to mock people and laugh at their struggles, and you started promoting prayer with the hallow app. Let’s do better as Christians. I get it’s fun for some people to laugh at and make fun of others. But honestly… I’m offended that you would sandwich a prayer ad in between mocking someone, and mocking someone. It doesnt matter if you think he deserves it or made his own bed. As a CHRISTIAN, we don’t engage in this behavior. The Bible says a wise person accepts (biblical) rebuke and correction. In Jesus name I pray you do better. You’re a powerful voice in this generation, let’s model kindness and gentleness like the Lord commands.

I'm a teacher now, but I'll be darned if I ever give a food/service/retail employee a hard time. Most of those people are just trying to do their jobs and they don't make the prices or policies. Before the internet there were millions of people that believed they could write a best selling novel. Most of them lacked the talent of storytelling, just as many lacked the skills to actually write a coherent story, and on top of all that is that you need a good story to tell.
