One rule she had is we couldnt be on the house phone no longer than 10 minutes and she was always listening on the other line. She legit time me and everything. I still remember this middle school party I went to.. the girl invited the entire class, had a party bus, and a hotel room. Her mother wouldn’t let us talk, play music, go to the pool. Nothing …everybody ended up leaving except her main friends. It was horrible.

Incase y'all missed it, the twist is that there is no parent, he lives in that house alone, the "dads" voice he keeps hearing, only he hears it because it's a figment of his imagination. This video was about how strict parents can have a detrimental effect on the growth of a person. Causing them to obey voices that no longer exist. He can't get any new friends because the voices cause him to scare them away and he can't get rid of the voices because if he did that he'd be alone. It's the unending cycle of anxiety and reliance on authority that many parents put their children in when they take too much control away from them in the formative years of their lives.
Or maybe this is a different universe where another Niles exists. Think about it. I haven’t seen him disappear in a long time. Maybe his other self can only disappear in the universe where Lean, Malcolm, and B Nard exist. That’s why you see so many different characters. Notice that the Dad is in this specific universe and not the mom. That explains why White Niles isn’t there. Different universe, different characters.
