Well, the episode with all the people melting mentioned by Emby seems awfully similar to what we know about how Nixie became an orphan. I smell a personal backstory moment within the adventure … indicating that the DM finally read the 30 pages document 😅
Man, I knew Nixie was Chaotic Evil, but I wasn't expecting her to be so out of touch with reality that she'd go into a trance to talk to her imaginary frie- oh, wait, Nixie doesn't have friends- IMAGINARY ACQUAINTANCE!
@@velveteenv76 I initially thought that until I saw the video where she burned down a house and, after the owner of the house begged her to save his baby, she found it and tossed it in the fire, then started to sing "burn baby burn." Chaotic Evil.
@@Luxord5294 "Baby's on Fire" in Shorts. I mis-remembered it. While she did find the baby, she didn't toss it into the fire... she just sang "That Baby's on Fire!" and several other fire based songs while the baby's father was desperately trying to put the baby out. Then HE caught on fire and had to toss the baby, to which Nixie starts singing "Firework." Still totally Chaotic Evil, though.
@@vampman87 Ok, slightly less horrific. Though yeah I would say you're spot on, I'm currently playing a CE Barbarian and that sounds like something my table would not be surprised at. Chaotic Evil can be so much fun when you're mixed with a LE Fighter with low INT and a CN Ranger who is slowly becoming more and more wary of my Barb.
Why is it always the fun and upbeat characters that always seem to have the darkest stuff going on inside their heads? I both am a bit scared of/for her and want to give her a hug.

Finally it all makes perfect sense why Nixie has no self control casting fireball. Who knew she had a Pokemon version of an evil chimchar fire elemental on her back. Good thing Evandra's foe noticed Nixie's behavior and brought it to her attention. It gave Evandra enough time to knock Nixie out before the tiefling cast fireball on both of them. Very nice denotation and connotation name for the episode too Deerstalker Pictures.
This is why you should get Remove curse cast on you every 3-4 months or so, at the very least get check with detect Evil and good, you’ll never know if you are possessed or cursed since before you became an adventurer.
Reminds me of my war domain cleric who did not get her magic from gods but from bonding with lesser spirits. She would constantly talk with them and the other players though she was just seeing things. Until she summoned them as her Spirtit Guardians.
I have a Protector Aasimar Light Cleric whose angelic guide is one of his ancestors who was blessed by his goddess. His ancestor appears to him and him alone and he talks to his ancestor in Celestial. In practice it looks like he's talking to himself, much like how Nixie speaks to Emby here.
I love the idea that Nixie is possessed by the spirit of fireball... I especially loved the part where she said "it's fireball time" and started flipping out setting everyone in fire.
so now I'm guessing Nixie is a sorlock, with 3 levels in warlock, with a Fiend patron and pact of the chain. Embry then is her imp familiar, with the ability of turning invisible and speak infernal. Everything makes sense now within the rules...
I had a character with multiple personalities so strong she was effectively immune to psychic effects, her other personalities could even hold concentration for her
I have an Aasimar Light Cleric who talks to the spirit of his ancestor who ascended to the upper planes where his goddess's realm is. He speaks to his ancestor in Celestial, and yes it does more or less look like he's crazy and talking to himself while doing so. That's how his Angelic Guide is manifested in the campaign
I love how the guy Evandra is fighting LITERALLY STOPS FIGHTING HER, just so they can both look at and be wierded out by Nixie speaking a weird language unkown to them, she's just talking to her imaginary friend on whether to use Fireball or not.
😂😂😂 Edit: You guys should definitely reach out to Larian. No doubt in my mind they will be doing dlc for BG3. Wouldn't mind seeing a DLC from them that involved Deerstalker 😉 BG3 drops later today. Definitely creating a custom party with my favorite face punching fighter, great seducer bard, and fire flinging sorcerer.
Or first thing tomorrow for some of us :) Will the Deerstalker stay up till 1am tomorrow to download the game? Yes they live in the same part of Australia as me :)
That confirms it. As soon as I get home, and BG3 is downloaded, tomorrow arvo, I'm rolling myself a tiefling (always my favourite race) fire based sorc.
Even when she speaks the black speech of Mordor she is a cute-looking tiefling. I love how confidently Evandra slaps Nixie and how well Nixie takes it. "I am used to these shenanigans. Now sit down and stop it."
Didn't Antrius try to sell Nixie anyway? Also, they all wanted criminals for all the pillaging and looting and murdering.... Why has it come down to this ...
Не может быть таких флешбеков. В предыдущих эпизодах его не было. В инстаграмме на странице Deerstalker Pictures говориться что Emby это фамильяр Никси. И они впервые его сейчас анонсируют. Будет ли он добавлен в игру , скорее всего да, но как обычный фамильяр. Без привязки именно к Никси. Её персонажа врятли переделают. И вообще из всех тифлингов в игре персональные фамильяры ( и то не фамильяры а импы-дьяволята) есть только у Хавилар из команды "Ангелов Ада". Никси хоть и тифлинг но в эту команду не входит.

Nixie is so scaring...and cute... P.S. I already preordered Baldur`s Gate 3 and I`ll try to create an adventurer like one from this team. It`ll be awesome!
