I started experimenting with skincare last year after I discovered your channel and I can honestly say that skincare has become my biggest passions! I have oily/ combo skin and have literally bought most of the products Fel has recommended. you ladies are going to bring me to bankruptcy and I will thank you for it, my skin has never looked better! you're truly doing God's work.
@@fluffy4881 I mostly use Korean products from isntree, cosrx, beauty of joseon, some by mi, sioris. I change them regularly because I always want to try new stuff, but these brands have worked the best for me. I also really like Glow recipe and Paula's choice. I could go into more details and give examples If you want
✋🏻 I heard many skin care scientists and dermatologists say oil glands don't produce more oil to compensate for dryness. But, since oil glands from different parts of the face (and body) produce oil at different rates, we might have some parts dry and other parts oily. And I think that's what combination is, not being both oily and dry at the same time in the same place 🤷🏻♀️ that would probably be oily+dehydrated
Me, too!!! I see all these gorgeous products that I think will be great for my skin, but they inevitably clog my pores. Toners, especially. I've figured out which moisturizers to use, but toners are what attract me now. Frustrating, for sure 😭
It's so funny that Fel brought up forbearance being a synonym for self-restraint because I was about to say that the best way to deal with impulsively (which is naturally caused by our human imperfection), is to use self-control, or self-restraint. We have free will to make our decisions and naturally, we want things all the time that we may or may not need, but the practice of having self-control really helps in that decision making process and it's almost like a healthy self-discipline. It's not like you're restricting yourself fully, but you're you're conditioning yourself little by little to really think things through in a step by step process and evaluate your circumstances instead of going off of impulse each time and often regretting it later. This process helps us make more wise choices on a daily basis. 👍🏻
I was always the kid who could wait. I could make my Easter chocolates last until almost Christmas, just eating a very little each day. My idea was, if I’d make them last until Christmas, then I’d have chocolate year round, because the Christmas chocolates (which were less), would last me until Easter. And then one year my brother got into my chocolate stash like, a week after Easter (he’d already eaten all of his), and ate all my chocolates). I was devastated! Funnily enough, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost that ability to be as measured and patient as I used to be. Maybe I leaned the lesson from my brother eating my chocolates- it’s good to wait sometimes, but if you wait too long, someone else might eat all the chocolates you’ve been painstakingly waiting for. And there’s my choccy-related wisdom for the day.
This theory applies to all of the things out there and not just chocolates. You should wait but not much that you just lose the thing you were waiting for. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I understand you. Combo skin is a real thing!!! Mine is inverted triangle oily and flaky jaw and ears xDDD I HAVE DRY FLAKY EARS ALL YEAR ROUND!!! how is that a thing xD?
Can we give appreciation to the crew who filmed the beauty changes of seasons scene from 0.20-0.22 :') Great video from Rowena and Felicia too... as always hehe!
@@avocado184nhs82 it’s great for inflamed acne (during a breakout) and helps in fading hyperpigmentation (PIH). The Ordinary has a similar product but I prefer the texture from Paula’s Choice better.
I just came across your videos and love them. Very informative. I am 45 and trying to take care of my skin as much as possible. Oily and yes still get pimples. You gals rock!
Omggg yesss!! One of my ultimate faves tooo! Isn't it so hydrating and calming to apply everyday? Love that you love it too, thanks for sharing hehe - fel xx
Hey! I have combination skin but my skincare routine is slightly more different I was wondering if what I’ve been doing everyday is good for my combination skin 1. Micellar cleansing water 2. Cerave SA smoothing cleanser for dry, rough, bumpy skin 3. Hydrating hyaluronic acid serum I put it on my under eyes and lips 4. Eye repair cream cerave 5. Cerave facial moisturising lotion for normal to dry skin 6. SA smoothing cream for dry rough bumpy skin 7. SPF radiance booster 8. Vaseline on my lips and then a carmex chapstick 9. I mix Vaseline and baby oil and apply it on my eyelashes Is there any improvements I should do after I finish the products bc I do realise that a lot of the products or for dry skin but I have combination skin
I love your videos! I'm having the worst time with my combo dry skin in winter right now. My cheeks and shin are super dry and uncomfortable, and I'm stumped about what to do. These videos really help and give me ideas!
I like your videos better when you recommend products from multiple brands and talk about pros and cons of each. The brands you talk about aren't always locally available or in my price point. When you talk about pros and cons I can make a more informed decisions between products that are available to me. Thanks for the content!
I didn't know Make Beauty but I guess they use a biotechnological approach to create their ingredients and as a biotech student I can ASSURE you guys that a lab engineered ingredient is absolutely the same as a "natural" ingredient since they have the same chemical structure. Also, a lab engineered ingredient can even be safer because it's created to go into a cosmetic product, while natural ingredients that derive from plant's aren't (like fragrances)
This is a video I definitely need. My skin has definitely chgd to going combo with weather chgs. It makes me go from dry to combo-dry. Just need to be careful with what ingredients r in the products. Skin doesn't like glycolic acid
Thanks for the video guys! Fel, you've gotta try Skin Ceutical's new Vit C Silymarin, you mentioned that you don't use the serum in the summer I have the same skin type as you and very similar skin conditions as well. I also try to avoid the serums in the summer, but I've been trying this new Vitamin C from them and I hate that I love it :/ It's darn expensive, but oh boy.. It's is so awesome and when I top it up with my gel moisturizer in the mornings, there's no more stickiness, and the results are just so good
@ BEAUTY WITHIN I have oily skin and looking for the most matte looking gel moisturiser any recommendations? Which is the most matte and doesn’t cause shine, grease, sticky film on top of skin out of these: Iunik Cantella Calming vs BOJ Red Bean Gel
Question, I have a really oily t zone and my cheeks get dry a lit and start to get flaky so would that be oily- combo skin or dry-combo skin and how do I make sure my cheeks dont get flaky pls answer, can I just use the crave gentle foaming cleanser would that work? Pls answer
if your chin gets oily, oily combo :( I just use a thick moisturizer or extra oil on my dry areas. double moisturize for the flakes. I can't get rid of it, but it minimized mine. hope you find what helps your skin.
These are suggestion. You can still have the best skin and solve you are problem with medical grade prescription (differen,tretinoin,skinoren..) and drug store moisturizer (cerave..).
Hehhe we only share these many products with you guys to let you know our thoughts on the options out there, but don't feel like you need to have all of them, since simple is always best, coupled with consistency 😊If what's working for you continues to work, all the better! We just like chatting and connecting with you guys hehe! - Fel xx
If I don’t wear a full face of makeup, can I use my primer before my tinted sunscreen? After my skin routine in the AM, I normally only do a primer, then my tinted sunscreen, then powder my face with a setting powder. Is that ok to do? I’m not in the sun long. Only a 1/2 for lunch is the longest I’m in the sun during the weekdays for work. I don’t wear foundation.
I am just trying to learn about my skin but it's so hard for me what I have on my skin, are they whiteheads, pores or I just don't know their names but I really want to make my face smooth and clear. How do I do that if I don't know my problem
