Did hasbro have too much brown plastic on hand for rise of the beasts? Like only a handfull of figures have color to them the rest is tan, brown, grey and black
Aside from the lack of paint, I actually think I like the look of this one more than the deluxe. I like his proportions and how he looks in poses more than the deluxe.
This guy is one of my favourite purchases of the year. It’s so unique and so stylish in its look and feel. Plus the Rhinox ass blaster really improves this set imo. Feels like a transformers starter pack.
The sad thing is, I really like this design, vehicle and robot mode, I think it would make for a very interesting character. … just not Wheeljack. It reminds me a lot of the Unicron Trilogy, where names were used at random. Armada Cyclonus, Scavenger, Demolisher, and ironically even Armada Wheeljack are great designs and great characters, they’re just in no way similar to all the other iterations of their namesakes.
@@TriggerThe_ACE015FG Regardless of what they named it, the design is so completely different that Wheeljack that it just doesn't feel right. The Last Knight Hot Rod doesn't feel like Hot Rod either and it's been years. And they had a more faithful design for Wheeljack in Bumblebee, so it's baffling that they'd change him so drastically.
Yeah as far as I can see there isn't a single common element shared between this and the OG Wheeljack design, or the BB movie design. If this is supposed to be the same character as the BB movie Wheeljack, then it feels like they must have plucked out his spark and transferred it to a completely different body, a-la the Beast Machines Vehicons.

I actually like the ROTB mainline toys... though only some of them. I got the Weaponizers Prime and Primal. I did customize my Prime with some silver marker and I'm happy with the Primal as it is, but both figures are fun to play with.
I recently got the three pack and wheeljack’s torso pegs together terribly along with basically the entire vehicle mode, so it looks like a van with a bunch of cracks in it, Cheetor is Super inaccurate, but I think everyone knew that already and nightbird is perfect.
I had never seen it has suspenders, this is one of the dorkiest designs I have ever seen 😖 Like it's kinda fun but something is not right 😂 Also, I really like this chocolate ice cream color he's got 😂❤️ I also love how happy the van looks because of the "eyes" 😂
I only wanted Wheeljack, so I got lucky and found just him on ebay and I only payed double the price a deluxe figure with shipping to Germany included. So yea, I paid a bit more but we probably will never have the 3-Pack on shelves here in Germany and boy I don't wanna know when the regular release will be, if there is even one. So I don't regret my purchase. And Wheeljack is my favorite design in the movie.
If you want a figure that's kinda nice with the posebility and looks good doing it (Breast Alliance), I really recommend the Beast Alliance Scorponok & Sandspear
I just got this toy (living in Peru) and will be customizing this bad boy. This is a really good toy for the budget and has a lot of potential after some work.
Mine didn't come with any instructions, so I had to figure it out myself. Luckily it was really easy to figure, unlike what happened to me and studio series jolt.
Great review! Nah, you didn’t ruin it for me. I saw the eyes before you did that. So the groove above is an eyebrow? Hmmm… So funny that his van mode windshield looks like eyes with glasses/goggles, like his robot mode. I’ve really got to get a Rhinox butt gun… LOL
So bottom line: do you think this one is a viable replacement for the deluxe and possible ss. In terms of scale? Because I'm in the same boat with the 3 pack or individual mainline deluxe not showing up and I really want an assembled team
It won't matter how good or bad the movie is, this is the worst design or any character ever put on screen. I won't understand why they changed the design from the Bumblebee movie.
I would say the worst design of any character would be Hightower from RotF. But that's just for the movies. The worst Transformers design ever is probably Beast Wars Ironhide.
Both my walmart and target are lacking ROTB figures including the Studio series figures. Hopefully, I find some good figure the next time I go for another ROTB toy hunt.
About the Jungle Mission 3 pack and brown plastic. The entire Jungle Mission 3 pack is mostly Brown plastic. Cheetor’s brown pants, Nightbird’s everything, Wheeljack’s everything. Just an all around good set to own tho. Even tho Wheeljack feels the weakest of the plastics in the entire set, but damn he is the best figure from it. Just good. This figure is just the Deluxe but on a budget. No really. They share a lot but the Deluxe cleans up better and feels like it beats this by a mile. Hope you get the 3 pack soon. I really want to see your opinions on the 3. 1) Wheeljack 2) Nightbird (close tied 1st actually) 3) Cheetor (eh you could take him or leave it)
It's a pain the mainline is the front and centre of advertising for the average ads by hasbro on social media because it's ass compared to studio and makes the average person think transformers are trash and cheap
Ive seen the 3 pack, and the figures do look good, but its not enough for me to justify getting it. This tho, this looks like plain fun and i like that.
I don't know if Toysrus will get that 3 pack because I do know that here in the US the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line, which this is a part of, is a Target exclusive.
Canada doesn't necessarily have the same exclusivity that the US has. Sometimes they have a normal retail release of toys that are store exclusive in the US.
I think it's so dumb that the single packs are only available in certain places. like, even if the 3 packs were here, I dont want to get $80 of other figures i don't want just for Wheeljack
Idk if it’s just me but I like this figure. I own the deluxe. And it’s a case of the nicer figure is less fun to play with. I’m tryna find this figure bc he seems more fun to pose and transform. My deluxe the shoulders suck and the clear plastic scares me. So I’m definitely trying to find his guy
@@Artemis_262$55 and I'd rather have the Studio Series versions and Cheetor is basically the Kingdom version which I already have so it's a waste to buy for just two figures. So I'm waiting for the SS versions.
Eventually. Right now, mainline toys are few and far between at regular retail, and where I live Target just doesn't have them at all. Walmart sometimes does, but it's a huge pain.
Prime is a fantastic figure. Other than his feet in vehicle mode, he's super slick. I'm actually trading in my Studio Series BB Optimus now that I have RotB Core Voyager Optimus. Other than needing a little more blue on his legs, he looks great. But more importantly he plays great and his transformation is far less of a headache.
The original l wheel jack is a power house...this version is More human like, and to top it all off they they gave it vision-impaired disadvantage to an autonomous thinking machine, is this isn't more than meets the eye I don't know what is... anyone, anyone...? That could transform into a vehicle sincerely a transformer fan at heart
