Peanut butter, but not the chunky...the peanut pieces create airspace, allowing the amp to frame contact loosen quickly over time. Spitting on it helps in a pinch.
When mounting the AMP, use washer to elevate it's bottom from the mounting surface of the vehicle. This will allow a hot amp to dissipate it's heat and avoid overheating much much much better.
What the hell!??? I just realized this was @sethsbikehacks hahah whatttttt upppp didn’t know you used to do this! Installing a amp today and this was the first video popped up
I wouldn't mount an amp on the floor. At winter times you bring snow sticks to your shoes which you bring with you into the car. The snow melts and drips down on the floor where your amp is. Even though the amp is under the seats and not directly under your feet, I'd rather mount it somewhere else where I don't have to worry about it.
mine is a pain in my ass my subs are making my amp fall apart i tried moving it but it keeps falling off the back seat i have no idea what to do . I have 2 kicker 15s wired at 2000 watts with a DB amp anyone have any suggestions?
I use to mount the amp and capacitor to back of sub box but now i mount amp and cap to ceiling of trunk with zip ties so now i can easily remove sub box if i need more space for cargo
I am installing a new sub, speakers and amp in my Canyon. The only places for The amp is under the back seat. Can I just screw through the carpet or do I need to use a mount like MDF ? OR can I just screw through the back wall - There isnt depth enough to add a board there.
when you mount to a wall in the trunk (not the rear seats) Do you just drill into the metal body of the car, or how do you do that? I plan to use either a wood or plexi glass board as a base to mount to the trunk, and then an amp drilled to that board.
It's TRUE the vibrations from the subwoofer shakes the box which can shake the amp so hard that can cause damage to capacitors or the board inside the amp just how it can loosen a bolt it can cause damage inside it
