Dude your killing it with these mods/upgrades. I want to replicate this in my sti but I don't know if I could do as good of a job as you did 😂 I'll most certainly give it my best shot though!
Hmm, I'm trying to figure out how to do my amp/cap install, even have a sheet of ABS, and this looks damn near perfect. Not sure if I have the room under the seat though, but after seeing this, I may give this a go.
Great Video, that looks clean. I did something similar about 2 years back. WIth a alpine 4ch and an alpine sub amp under the passenger seat. 8in Sub underneath the driver seat. I just covered the entire bottom of the equipment with velcro which is very secure. The amps fit so snug that they really cant move in the recessed part as well. I didn't want a big sub taking up space and weight in the trunk. The 8in provide just enough to fill out the bottom end. I might run some wiring for a second 10in . I almost wanted to cut out the metal in the rear dash and mount a 10/12in woofer.
Great job man! Gives me good ideas for my upcoming 4Runner install! I’m doing a 5 channel JL Audio amp. No LOC, I’m just going to run all 4 channels to the high level input.
Nice tidy install. I'm planning one for my BP5 Legacy, so being another Subaru hopefully I should find a similar recess once it arrives in the UK from Japan. I've seen alot of installs where the amps intrude into the rear footwell but it seems yours does not. I was concerned I may have to look at boot mounting instead, but following a similar install to what you have done, I should have plenty of room for a Compact Class D 4ch under there. Thanks for the video!
@@WarriorsPhoto One active underseat sub under the passenger seat, and one 4ch amp under the driver's seat. Or at least I get the car in 5-6 weeks so that's the plan
I just installed an old school MTX 4320 under the passenger seat. I bolted the plastic mounting feet to one side of the floor and made a bracket to keep the amp level for the other side. I haven't played them amp yet so I hope I do not get electrical interference since I did not use a board. Such a tight fit. The ampmis isolated with the plastic mounting feet. Is it 100% necessary to use a board to isolate the chassis to the amp?
How much space is under the seat you think? I have a 2018 STI, should be pretty identical. I'm hoping to stuff an Audiocontrol amp measuring about 12" x 8" underneath.
Is no on worried about mounting directly in front of floor heater vents? Those amps might not like the heat on in the winter. I'm trying to figure out best way to extend the vents to blow past the amps.
Given that the amp is under seat, is there any need to worry about moisture esp when it rains or snows and the liquid outside comes into the car from our shoes.
