You boys need to do a hunt in Green Swamp WMA in Florida. If you wish to put your skills to the ultimate test, i cant think of a better place to do so. Love y'alls stuff.
Thanks for the videos guys they have helped me alot. All I do is hunt stateland an I was able to connect with a 165in ninepointer in northern Michigan this year. Next stop boone an crockett
I have been hunting these transition areas for decades . I typically hunt the ‘ curtains ‘ ( curtains are transitional borders that define grassy bedding grounds and farm fields that transition to hardwoods or swamps and low ground areas where thick cover is) and you can always find scrapes and rub lines that follow the curtains as well as bottle neck runs that funnel into adjacent patches of hardwoods, separating the bedding grounds and feeding grounds by rivers / beaver ponds , or ridge lines that deer travel along .
Man I Love watching y'all videos just how y'all so down to earth Wear pretty much whatever ever Just watching y'all change my hole outlook on hunting which I always know hunt wind but watching y'all I never buy any cover up spray point blank Hunt the wind if got good stand Big buck showing up you see on camera way come in everytime wind right go in kill him thanks brother for video I'm bow hunter only love watching all y'all bow hunts
Good tips. Imma use this deer season. Love watchin yall hunt public land it seems like yall see way more deer on yall public than what I see on Michigan's public lands.
That's my favorite kind of place. I'll tuck right into a Russian olive or honeysuckle. If your scent is good, you're good. Even the older does will be using this more than the younger ones
It seems to me that if I had a choice where to bed down and stay hidden, that's exactly where I'd do it too. More sunlight, more cover. In my area, these thick bits are often on hilltops in pine flats. Always full of beds
I killed a nice ten last year in late October sitting in a big hickory tree right next to an area that looked just like that, only 200 yards from the road. The transition line along those thick bedding areas are great places to find a cruising buck, or catch him coming out of bedding in the evening.
Every time i hunt near a ceder 😂 it always messes me up! They always show and slip behind and disappear or catch my wind or stop stand behind and then run off after a doe. Darn ceders😂
Come down to is the right spots at the right time ! Unless you got apples & carrots out in the day time , take them up by night . Easy deer them like feeding sheep in the yard . 😊
A person is not considered a resident under this paragraph if the person is residing in the state only for a special or temporary purpose including, but not limited to; engaging in hunting, fishing or trapping. (Copied from Iowa hunting regulations)
Iowa is 90% farmland, if people didn't move to Iowa for its deer hunting no one would live there. Farming is a dying profession unless you're born in to it. I don't think there's a lot of people beating down the doors to move the Iowa to farm all that land. Lee Lakosky and Ward aren't the only people that moved to Iowa to hunt deer for a living. Lots do. Deer hunting is the most valuable resource other than farming in the state of Iowa.
What would you do if they don't access these bedding areas where you can't get a shot, I have been in this situation and got busted on the edge. Thanks for the education!
It's A density or Structure change Warbs . Whitetails being edge creatures for survival from wolves, bear n such. I agree about that tree however, a stand is only as good as it's enter/exit route, SADDLE UP!!
If only us hunters talked about Jesus this much and worshipped our Creator God Almighty. Instead, we've turned to worshipping the deer instead of who created the deer. LORD, teach us to repent and turn back to you.
Where I hunt, the hunt club in eastern NC, you've never seen such thick cover. Timber company cutovers. Briar thicks 10 feet high and hundreds of acres in some places. If you are not hunting at my club where it's like rabbit hunting, you wont see a deer. In fact that cold snap at Christmas we had temps at night around single didgets. I was at the club with the guys and we saw exaxly zero deer. Your only hope to kill a big deer is he is trailing a doe in November.
I appreciate why you do what you do, but I absolutely hate it. Let people learn the way we all did...by actually hunting! This is why I only have 20ish spots left out of over 60 that I have been hunting since 16 y.o. I'm 38 now, and in Mi, with this video I can assume I'll loose another 8 spots this year and see people everywhere! Thanks, your minions will all be blowing me out of more areas.
Go away!!! Start golfing... and yes I'll be happy to get into a back and forth with you on RU-vid comments until you feel like your manhood has not been insulted but you are what's wrong with hunting in this country I bet you think you own the deer too ,don't you? BRING IT ON BUB!!!
Seriously if you want to learn as much as you can about deer sign and scouting and public land hunting then go to the hunting public utube videos. They are the best there is out there.ive learned how to use onx and my deer success has tripled.the hunting public knows there business.
