I'm from Spain and I recommend to all the motorsport fans to go to the Fernando Alonso's museum. It has all the F1 that have driven Fernando (except 2017 and 2021), karts, Toyota TS050, Toyota Hilux, Indy500 2017 car, ... and they will add the Cadillac DPi in the next months.

Kimi had a bonus option in his contract with Lotus where he would be paid a lot for podiums, which he got many of while driving for them. I'd put it in a museum without giving up the ownership. Considering those cars are not capable of cranking without extensive preparations like preheating the engine, because the tolerances are so tight it would do much better as a public exhibit (no touchy though) than a room ornament. Now if I had the money and skill to actually drive one, I'd take it for a cruise drive of Nurburing while filming it. People wanted to see a modern F1 on that track for ages.

I remember a temporary F1 exhibit that was at my local museum in 2009, featuring several important historic cars from every decade of F1, that really made me appreciate just how absolutely incredible the design and engineering of F1 has been. Seeing the cars up close (and sneaking a quick touch of a few) also made me realise that TV didn't really display the cars as they truly were, especially the older ones that looked more like homemade go-karts than the semi-mythical beasts I always saw them as when I was younger. For that reason alone, I say the more of F1 that gets displayed in public museums the better!

I really wonder if there's an instruction manual included with purchase. Like I can imagine the FW14B is probably pretty complicated to use. I think the suspension had to be calibrated by the computer for every individual track and I can imagine that's incredibly complicated. I wonder if Vettel has to just figure it out (which wouldn't surprise me if he did) or do you have to get an old Williams engineer to explain it all to you.

Nothing special about it nor was it hard to find photos of it either, it was just a normal MP4/8 but slightly stretched to accomodate the Lamborghini V12 that was bolted into it, apparently if it did replace the MP4/8 during the 1993 championship it would've won it.

Correction: Ferrari used their 2019 car SF90 (as well as Mercedes W10) for Abu Dhabi 18’’ test. Not the 2020.

legend said that there are more than 3 f1 cars in 3 different locations in Indonesia. I know only 2, one British American Tobacco owned Bentoel Cigarette Factory, and the other one is private collection. the next one is still a mistery.

@wtf1 thank you for this cool video. There's a little correction: Schumis hometown is a bit further West than what you displayed. He lived in Kerpen, which is about 20km further West. There is also his Kart Center on the Map.

We scrapped the chassis by crushing it with a fork lift truck. The same team modified an old car in 2021 to replicate the changes to the floor and went testing to find a fix to their problems on the current car.

I have always wondered where all the modern steering units end up, since they become quickly obsolete, and could fetch a good amount of money if sold to the public. I can only imagine a certified steering piece used by a certain driver in given races is something a wealthy F1 fan would happily pay a bundle of money to hang on a wall.
