Super.. to add to above point , it all depends on where you stay ... my calculations maybe different from others. In Taman rasuna , expenses will go min 1000$ including rent , food , maintenance etc. All the best for your next assignment 👍

for someone who lived there for 5 years, you have to find a good renter...many of the renters want a years rent up front. I found someone that allowed me to pay 3 months at a time. Once I knew him, I paid monthly. This goes on throughout Jakarta. Understand that Jakarta is going to take a major facelift since the capital is moving off Java to a city near Balikpapan. So this may affect jobs and long term staying.
