Eyrie's actually the worst place to be in the Vale. The rest of it sounds quite nice or at least Ruinstone and that village the Hound and Arya go to do. There a bunch of board knights with nothing to but protect people form mountain clans the bottom of the Vale is warm enough to grow corn fields in autumn. So aye Ruinstone or Gultown would be my picks. I would also gone with pre-Clash of Kings Maidenpool.

I'd definitely go to Oldtown too, it's like the ultimate culture hub. You could go look at both the Citadel and the Starry Sept, and of course the Hightower, which is awesome as hell. Also you could probably do a day trip to the Arbor and just drink wine and eat peaches for a bit. Honestly, it'd probably feel kinda like going to Venice feels irl.

Your specified time period kinda rules out two of your picks for me. - The Eyrie is busy being encroached by advancing winter and is about to be abandoned entirely, and if getting there in the summer is an ordeal, winter access is impossible unless your low level lord somehow can borrow a dragon. - Dragonstone is still the location of wartime hostilities with a Stannis-loyalist garrison being beseiged by King Tommen's forces, and while it's implied this is resolved by the end of Feast it's not without significant casualties. Unless somebody's lying, but still.

TARTH. I have thought about this so much. Tarth is not only the best vacation spot, but its also the best place to live. Tarth is known as a very beautiful and warm place. House tarth is a fairly wealthy house. Its a very safe spot since it is on an island so it is untouch by nearly every war that hits westeros and it is on the eastern side of westeros so it is safe from Ironborn. Tarth is the only place i would want to live if i lived in westeros

The only time it sounded dangerous was when... Myr I believe?, was trying to get a hold of the island. And that was while a strong monarchy was protecting the place. Now that there's no Dragons and practically no real King, I would be a bit worried if the Free Cities get feisty again.

Aside from the Watergardens the only time a place is mentioned as a "holiday destination" is Tyrion visiting the wall. And it makes sense, its a legendary structure of extreme proportions, it holds a lot of historical significance and if you get the night's watch to let you through you might even take home a trophy from beyond the wall to brag about to your neighbours.

If you’re willing to count Essos, I’d love to visit Braavos. I love live theater, and it sounds like the place to go if you want to see it. Plus there’s the Iron Bank, the multicultural religious district, and the canals. If you’re just sticking to Westeros proper, I feel like Bear Island has some perks if you love nature like I do. It could be a nice little microcosm of the North to visit, without much threat of wildling raids or getting caught in the crossfire of a war.

I've always admired the somber natural desolatio that Crackclaw Point evokes in the chapter with Brienne & Nimble Dick. Even though there isn't much glamour it has that pacific northwest or deep new hampshire forest vibe and i'd love to be perched up with a view of the pine valleys blanketed and fog and a hazy view of the bay of crabs, if i were a singer i'd try and sell my service to the Brune's of Dyre Den just to be payed with that view.

besides the locations you mentioned (that i agree, with the exception of the Eyrie as i’m too afraid of heights): In Westeros: 1. The Arbor 2. To travel through the Mander from Highgarden to Oldtown 3. Winterfell, as the castle is so unique and a travel would probably have to be through White Harbour. Seeing the Wall would be awesome 4. King’s Landing, as huge cultural hub in Westeros 5. Lannisport. Although i think Seagard probably has a better view of the Sunset Sea on the Caple of Eagles, Lannisport must have better structure and security. Out of Westeros: 1. Tall Trees Town 2. Lys 3. This is gonna sound crazy, but The Wall is the definition of "would want to vacation, wouldn't want to live there" for me; assuming I'm, as you said, nobility and therefore an honored guest. (As opposed to a recruit or a refugee) It's cold as balls, sure, but it's established they keep the castles well-heated. You could put on your layers and look at the view from the top of the Wall; maybe even get a Black Brother to guide you through the gate gate so you can take one step out and brag to everybody that you TECHNICALLY have been north of the Wall. Then you can go inside and read some of the library's books by the fire, or join Mormont and the boys for dinner. I enjoy hearty messhall meals and ale, so the descriptions of Hobb's cooking always make me hungry. And the Crows always have interesting stories, both from before and after they took the black. Note this is only early in the series; once the war with Mance starts, followed by the aftermath with all the scarce resources, I wouldn't want to be another mouth to feed. But the way the Wall is described when Tyrion visits makes it sound downright cozy.

If you want culture, then definitely Oldtown. It's basically the Vatican as a university town but also a port city. There are definitely plenty of landmarks to visit. For vista obviously the Eyrie. People keep mentioning the problem with the Moon Clans. IIRC they are only a problem when traveling the High Road. You're on vacation, take a ship to Gulltown and travel from there. I think scenery, I'll be visiting the inner Westerlands. I've read it's stunning, with multiple green valleys nestle between impressive mountains. I'm imagining it looks like the Grand Canyon but more massive.

What about the Arbor to visit wine country? Though most of the reach probably counts as "wine country"

When i pick vacation spots i think. is it safe to travel to? is it pretty? does it have unique history? does it have neat wildlife? hows the weather? how is the food? in times of peace in no order my picks would be The southern isles high garden qarth graywater watch (to check out castle food and wildlife even if it were trying to kill me) dragon stone (low on list because of storms for safety and weather) winterfell meereen harrenhal the house of black and white anywhere in dorne
