First solo I’ve ever learnt thank you

So, not to over comment... But, been keeping at it. And while at an open jam I go to, after a few jack n cokes, I went for it! Just happened that the drummer knew it well. And when I heard him pop the snare, it was on! I kept to the basic chords and the short lead. I skipped the solo, but rode out the rhythm for it. A singer winged it, but was on par. Everyone was diggin it, no joke, it went down as the most fun song for the night! Once again, thanks! Gonna get that solo down now lol!

Im just having trouble hearing what chord progression is playing over the guitar solo... I’m trying to record the parts on my looper pedal and make it play the correct rhythm backing during the solo.

Thanks for the great lesson, any tips on how to get the great tone of this solo? I have a Vox Vt40X modelling Amp and a few pedals but I am not getting close
