RTV the oil resistant kind saved me on a lower timing cover oil leak. It sealed it perfectly

Interesting, thanks for taking us along on that journey. My 2002 Xterra is leaking oil too... not near as bad is that, but I've had a hard time telling exactly where it's coming from. I always see a slow drip collecting on the bottom of my oil pan.

The valve cover gate will run down the block, so you have to change the valve cover first to see if it is your problem and use a paper towel to see if it is oil on the side of it.

put a pan under the pan and see how much it leaks, if it is a little then leave it alone. The job costs $1375.00+ just add oil. I have a 2004 Xterra yes same thing but it is a noticeably light leak that drops every 3 days on a paper towel, till it runs out. I think this will not happen in another 150,000+ miles. going for 400,000 miles in a car. This type of car will get 400.,000 if taken care of it. Naber has a 2003 with 350,000 miles v6i

Change that valve cover. then spray some degreaser around the bottom where it's all oily, and power wash the degreaser off. and monitor it closely for any other leaks, if any. you should be golden after replacing the valve cover, though.

I also saw oil when I park, my 02 Frontier has been hemorrhaging oil. I also smell oil when I drive. Any idea what it might be?

So let's say you do look and see oil where you're talking about @ about 2:25 in your video, what next? However mine IS still pouring transmission fluid out @ the drive shaft/rear main seal....
