I think that's around the time I saw them. Not 💯 sure about the year lol. Metallica opened up for them & they were over 2 hours late hitting the stage. There were cars lined up outside side the venue(parents there to pick up their kids) & GNR hadn't even started yet. Our group stayed & hell yeah it was worth the wait! Long night 🤘💃🏻🍸🤩

When I saw them, they opened for Motley Crue, Theater of Pain Tour. I had never heard of GNR. I bought Appetite and listened to it on the way to the concert.

I saw GNR open for Motley Crue when this album was released....It was amazing. I wished they had of played for hours ! Then Slash came down into the crowd and stood by me and watched The Crue's set. True story. Awesome night. This is how I celebrated my 27th bday in November 1987 Birmingham Al !! 🤘🎭🎸☠💋❤💥🌹 Those were the days !!!!

The video was actually shot at two very different locations. One was Giants Stadium. The other was at the 1988 Monsters of Rock show at Donington Park (England).

@@dalefleming6427 Not Met Life Stadium. It’s Giants Stadium, E Rutherford NJ ;?the Meadowlands. Met life was built and the great Giants Stadium was demolished. They didn’t find Hoffa when they demoed it.

When i was 7 (1989) we took a family trip from Bangor Maine to Disney World in Orlando Florida. My 2 brothers and I along with a couple of cousins sat in the back of a pickup truck the entire way (covered). 4 adults in the front (when trucks were trucks). My cousin Jason brought his boom box and an Appetite for Destruction Cassette. When we got on the road he asked me "Do you like Guns & Roses" my response was "I like Guns". Lol.. I had no idea what he was talking about. When he played this album I was in love with it. We played that one cassette for thousands of miles. He ended up giving it to me and so This Album was the first I ever owned.

They put on a great show. Seen them several times live. They have some jams. I actually seen them several years ago in Nashville and Chris Stapleton opened for them. That was a badass concert
