I’ve heard it being called a shonen with a soccer power system before and it’s the perfect way to explain it.. I don’t even like soccer but I’m obsessed with blue lock best anime to drop in a long time.. art character development and soundtrack are amazing! I think the animation is fine tho and doesn’t need an upgrade.

Kunigami, just like all the people that were eliminated in the second selection got to choose 2 paths before leaving Blue Lock. In the hallway, one door leads to the exit. The other, is an ominous looking door with the 2 words "Wild Card" on it. Kunigami enters that door, and comes back as the one and only survivor (and becomes a bit of an edgelord in the process).
