We tried the Chicken House one evening, and guess what they didn't serve - why chicken! The buffet looked so bad we left after our drinks were served, tossing the waiter a 10. Your assessment is spot on; I'm stunned it's still in business.

They just recently went out of business. They change their format to a Mexican food restaurant called Señor chicken. We will see if that’s any better.

I will say ive been too Branson a bunch and I know a few places off the beaten path, Mr gilberties is a Sicilian style Italian restaurant it was so good

The Keeter Center is the best place to eat in branson hands down. The one with the singing waitresses was awesome also.

Loved both Florentina's and Mel's Hard Luck! Two of my favorite places that I ate at when I visited 3 years ago! I also loved Billy Gail's for breakfast! Great video!!!

We were in Branson in May 2023 and ate at both Florentina’s Italian restaurant and Mel’s Hard Luck Diner. Florentina’s was wonderful Italian food, nice servers and pleasant. The bread and dipping sauce is a must try! Mel’s Hard Luck Diner was just plain fun. Great diner food with big portions. The wait staff sing throughout the day and have fabulous voices. You don’t want to miss this restaurant. Food and entertainment all in one. Thanks for posting the others. We will try them on our next trip.

I think you’re spot on with your assessments. As locals, we’re lucky to be able to enjoy these restaurants off season, no crowds. 😄 The only other “strip” restaurant I would add to the list is Heroes. And downtown, we locals love Clockers for breakfast.

Billy Gail's for breakfast is a great place to stop and Billy Bob's are our must eat at when in town and have been going to both for 10+ years each. The Keeter Center is also really good but pricy, and not sure if they still have it but Sunday brunch at the Chateau on the Lake is good, also pricey. Your video was dead on about chicken place, the year they first opened was really good, and they would serve free pickles and other items walking around while you were waiting on food. However we have tried 2x's since and will never go back.

Mel's Hard Luck Diner was a joy. The food was good and so was the entertainment. It was so cute when our waitress sang to my grandson and embarrassed him.

Outstanding choices for sure. I highly recommend the Keeter Center at the College of the Ozarks. Mel’s is a must stop for sure.

Great video. I did a lot research before my last Branson visit, but missed finding out about several of these restaurants. I look forward to trying some of them next time. You nailed it about the Chicken House. The people there were very friendly, and we had the most entertaining waitress that we encountered anywhere in Branson, including Mel's with the singing waiters. The items on the breakfast bar, however, were consistently mediocre. I would like to eat at least one item at a restaurant that makes me want to go back again. Instead, that breakfast left me wondering why I didn't eat the free breakfast at the motel. It would have been just as good.

What about Noodle 21? I wish I could take it home with me. It’s an Asian Fusion restaurant offering Korean, Chinese, Japanese & Thai foods. My favorites are the Korean Bibimbap and the Thai Drunken Noodles. And don’t forget the Spring Rolls! I can’t wait to go back and try more. It’s delicious! Yum!

I agree with everything, BUT you left out McFarlain's Restaurant inside the IMAX Theatre complex. Southern comfort food. YUM!

Want to try some of these next time. But our favorite so far is Farmhouse downtown. Maybe I’m partial because that’s where my husband proposed to me 😍 and of course, that Blackberry cobbler!

A short distance out of Branson and a must stop is Billy Gails. The pancakes are to behold, as they are the size of a hubcap. Best breakfast around and great scenic drive getting there.

Branson local here. The pancakes are 14 inches in diameter, and the to-go boxes are pizza boxes. One of these pancakes has breakfast for that day, the next day, and depending how quickly you get full, maybe even the day after that!

I do a lot of traveling and honestly flaming margita is one of the best restaurants I ever been to. If you know your tequilas their prices are actually really reasonable. Its a must every time were in the area. Going In 2 weeks planning on trying the molcajete. Only place I know that also has shots of tears of llorana (300 a bottle) 40 a shot which is reasonable if you know how expensive just basic shots can be at high end places

Branson local here. If you’re looking for attractions to go with all these restaurants, I suggest going to Fritz Adventure or the Titanic museum. Silver Dollar City and White Water surely is one of kind for tourists, but be prepared to spend in the triple digits for a family of 4 for a day at either of those places. Edit: Make sure to also make a stop at Table Rock Lake/Lake Taneycomo. The tubing and cliff jumping there is amazing, the open space to tube and the 20ft+ tall cliffs to jump off of is truly awesome!

You have given me some ideas of places to try for my next Trip, but I feel like you missed one. Hero’s Tastes and taps on the strip may have the most unique yet tasty BLT I’ve ever eaten in my life and for drinkers like me they have a great selection of beers on tap. That was my favorite place that I eat at in Branson when I was there.

As locals, our favorite is Local Flavor hands down. As to Billy Bob's burgers. Been there 2 times and both times my burger was so dry it good blow away. Best burger in town? Cakes & Creams. There burgers are juicy and will run down your hand. Make sure you get plenty of napkins.

I want to add Culver’s to the list. Yes, it’s fast food, but it isn’t in every state, especially the Southern states. Their veggie burger was very good. I’m not a vegetarian, but I like to try them, when I know a place offered them. They were the best! Yum. The rest of my family thought that the other selections were also delicious.

I agree about the Chicken House. That is a truly horrible place to eat. We ate there years ago and I think many in our party got sick. I disagree with Mel's Hard Luck Diner. We ate there in June and it was way overpriced and wasn't very good. I would also add to the places to avoid at all costs, Pasgetti's - another truly terrible place to eat. Do not go there. Now for my additions to the places you SHOULD definitely check out: Billy Gail's. Incredible food and service. The Dobbyn's Dining Room at College of the Ozarks is fantastic. I also highly recommend Lambert's Cafe as well. It's a little bit out of town, but worth the drive.

Get burger anywhere. We are going to keter center and gettin basted for sure. Already have reservations for keter center. I'm excited

Keter Center is amazing. I am a bit confused. Yes, there are burgers in some but it also has Italian, Mexican, Seafood, Sushi (which you mentioned), and homestyle. I also will be doing another video to cover restaurant further away from the strip like the Keter Center :)

@@bransonsbest we just went to Branson for the first time. We was there the week of Valentines. It is the first place I even been to that I want to move there. We can't because of our careers. For food we stayed away from chain stuff except for Saltgrass because there is not one close to us. We did Saltgrass, get basted, the clay oven, top of the Rock, Pour in Hollister, Keeter Center and the yard for desert. Activities we did top of the Rock cart trail with museum, Butterfly palace, Monday we stayed in for snow day. We made a snowman. Drove an hour north for safari. Did the animal adventure in Branson, Walked around College of Ozarks, pink jeep 3hr tour. Shows we saw Six, Anthems of Rock, comedy jamboree and the haygoods. A lot more we wanted to do. We will come back some time in the future.

Best burger (now that Shimi's has closed) is actually Scooters Best seafood is Landry's but Dockside has very good food and I just really enjoy going there. Local Flavor - Great food. Better people Best Pizza and Best wings- Pizza World. Its really not even close

Ya me and my wife had bfast at the chicken place and it sucked and was wayyyyyu to high in May of 23 but a bbq place basting somthing (cant remember ) was really good kind of high but good. Are bill waa 70$ but i did have 3 beers at 5$ apiece. 🤦🏻‍♂️🥃
