@Marduk Sensei Go read a history book, that's not what happened, many folks came and went back then and a lot of the indigenous Palestinians also came from surrounding countries in the 1800's, specifically during the great famine in Egypt at the time, and they came and settled in the country. The entire UN agreed to partition the land as there was more than enough room but the surrounding countries refused and declared war, then they lost, and then there was displacement as a result. It's very unfortunate but that is sometimes what happens when you declare a war of annihilation and lose.

In 1948, a two state solution was offered, it gave almost 50% land to Palestine. It was accepted by Israel, but was rejected as the Arabs wanted all of the land, they even declared war to reclaim the land. The tragedy struck when Arabs lost the war, this is all the consequence of that loss.
