Here’s the river behind the private property on a well- known gold river in Georgia. What do you think? What would you suggest? A quick test pan had some nice color. 💛
I would work the crevices in that bedrock in front of you, nice size cobbles look good and I would use the bedrock to my advantage, and start cleaning out those cracks the best you can, if you have a yabby pump, Gail, use it. And I will be looking out to see how you did. Happy Hunting and thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Ed. We found three nice pieces in one of those crevices! I tried to post a photo but couldn’t for some reason. Tomorrow should be interesting. Thanks for your advice! 💛
Clean out the crevices and any low depressions in that bedrock. You may want to get a chisel and 2.5lb sledge hammer, crowbar, and/or a rock hammer to break that bedrock. Heavy Pans Gail!!!
Great suggestions - we weren’t prepared for this. I hoped by showing it, I’d get good advice and we will be doing a little shopping first thing tomorrow.
