I never would have thought to find myself laughing during a video about battery statistics but your humor is so good and the cut aways to other pilots chiming in is the cherry on top. Informative and so entertaining. Great video!
Never thought someone would just straight up give the results at start lol. I would have anyways skipped to the end but now im interested for the video (and the outro racing part)
Absolutely spectacular entertaining and educational content Ivan 👏 I really like the way you did these tests with a quad versus battery test equipment. Nothing wrong with battery test equipment but I like to see quads being used. 🤟
great tests. I've been thinking that in addition to average cell voltage it would be really nice to have an actual per cell reading, because it is always the worse cell that drops first ruins the pack so knowing which manufacturer has the most consistent cells in their batteries would be nice, it also would be interesting to have a way to display the actual voltage of the lower cell on the OSD for an more real reading of when to land and get the most of the lipo.
I have a few v5 from the first run an couple months back I’ve seriously abused them and after at least 250 cycles they still hold 80percent as new. Tattu is Amazing and definitely some of the best money you can spend in fpv.
I'm really not sure that you're giving back to the community enough here Limon.... I mean, at least make your videos entertaining and informative, and perhaps maybe even contribute to the software many of us use day-in, day-out. You could do so much more..... Gazebo. (And thank you, once again, Sir)
Your vids never disappoint... This is some of the best FPV race centered RU-vid content available... I always recommend your channel (& OpenRacer Frames) when people new to racing have tech questions 🐧🏁🔥🔥🔥
I would be curious about the difference in degradation between top shelf vs budget batteries such as CNHL under the stresses a recreational freestyle type pilot might experience. It seems like this would be useful to the broadest group of hobby flyers.
Wish you could have tested some of the new CHNL Ultra Black's. Expensive but man I am loving these. Power loops with no battery warnings and spirited flight even down to 3.6v per cell without "Land Now"s is incredible. Edit: And way smaller than normal CHNL Black's relative to capacity.
i was thinking about CNHL... but after the white 6S series and some sketchy 3S (old freedom spec batts) move don't trust them... When they made same-label batteries with totally different performance
That R line fanning out like that was soooo crazy!!! My goggle batteries take the most abuse leaving them on and completely killing them , but a .1 amp slow charge and they are good to go and surprisingly not puffy , I’m guessing the high current draw to low voltage kills them indefinitely.
As someone who bought a couple Pyro batts to try against my MCK V2 batts I can confirm they puff up after the slightest abuse and don’t recover well from over discharges.
I noticed when strapping on a Tattu V5 that it felt like holding down the Nitrous button on a drag car! Also toward the end of a race my throttle position stays the same. Also I have gotten 3 bad Tattu V4s with cell 1 either no voltage or with 1 volt!!!
This is my experience too! Personally, if I need a battery right now, I can always get Tattu locally in minutes, but I really love working with Dogcom and get regular shipments directly from them. For good cheap batteries I also love working with CODDAR and am very happy with them too. I do still get GNB test batteries, but I haven’t bought anything or worked with them for almost a year. It’s been 60% Dogcom, 20% Tattu, 20% CODDAR recently, and I have been really, really happy with this mix!
@@IvanEfimovLimon I think I am beginning to watch your content just to reminisce about my long lost hair.... So I only cried a wee bit when I read your comment.
Feeding the algo. Just got my shit pilot hoodie too. Just a shame i spent about as much as the retail price on import duties and custom fees (EU). So it wasnt a cheap hoodie for me, and I think you may get
Thanks man! Yeah EU fees are big, I know few people struggled with them too... Do you know if any similar Tshirt online store in EU directly we can do the same?
@@IvanEfimovLimon Not a clue, sorry. But it would already help if your merch provider collected VAT and/or showed the expected costs to the EU. I mean, I would have bought a few of them, since a big part of the fee is a flat fee for inspecting the package.
Does anyone else have Tattu v5 1400 where 1 cell is dead after few cycles? Dont know...but for me...i am done with tattu v5 so far! 3 lipos out of 4 died way to early! My choice here in germany is bonka 1380 at the moment
From 200, 4 had to get replaced… but I am quite unlucky for this type of stuff, so I’m not sure what the reality is 😜 Thankfully customer support is one of the best, and they got replaced. I never had an issue after that.
So it’s best to get 1 cell from each and combine them into 1 6s? Or did I misunderstand? 😅 … how long do you batts usually survive when racing over concrete??
It's not as bad, cu I also have 3D printed protection for night spot :) and I started storage charging them at the end of the night. So probably 30-40 cycles I would guess
Would using some bigger motors make it easier to get the amp draw without overheating motors? would the results be the same if you used pulses to make a 2 min flight.... more of a freestyle flight... like 3 secs on 3 secs off until 3.3v...
Yeah bigger motors and props would do it for sure. As for pulses, would be interesting to see how deep battery sags as them. But the battery sag is so quick, it's usually less than 1 cycle of betaflight voltage reading so hard to measure.
OK, so R-Line v.5 are not overpriced. Now I want know just how crappy the cheap batteries I buy are (because shit pilots like me destroy a fair number of lipos). Or should I man up and buy the good stuff because really good lips are harder to destroy? I'm a big fan of the GNB 1100mAh 22.2v 6S 130C packs for freestyle.
kinda disappointed in CNHL after there shady stuff with 3S batteries of the same label, but different performance. Also i've tested 6S wite ones, and there are just not good. Hopefully black ultra are better, maybe ill test.
