Hi Matt N. Cheers for another great one I'm a big fan of your vidz. And your imagination Can you could do an episode on a particular theory IV been thinking about for a while?. I, like you believe that AFL is the fastest, most exciting and athletic form of football that human beings have ever invented. Over the years the AFL has had a number of big marketing campaigns to increase international exposure with let's be honest lousy results. Decades of this battle plan has failed to yield significant traction. I have been asking myself, If we were to ever crack the market of say the United states how would it be done?. How could AFL even get a foothold in a nation that has other huge sports to complete with.? I have come up with a strategy and I'd love to see your thoughts on it. The theory is simple. In one word KIDS. What if each AFL team picks a town/ region of the United States to set up base. And introduce Ozkick to every school in the area from grade 1-4 or 5 whichever. And stuck to the program for 5 years. Double down on the same process but include junior high this time for another 5 years. As the decade draws to a close the AFL would have indoctrinated thousands of children to this great game. Where the love for the game would spread. Those kids by then would have taught other kids and so on. Now here's the kicker. Because each current AFL club has spread themselves out over the country and is a founding organiser of the Ozkick program in that area the local town would create a kinship with that club. And maybe even call themselves I don't know the New Haven Lions or Pleasentville Hawks. You know what I mean. Anyway my questions is. Which areas of the USA for which clubs? What would those teams look like? And how long would it take until a full blown league over there. Or at least a good feeder competition that funnels great talent into the AFL at home to create a truly cosmopolitan league here. 👍 Thanks once again 👍

This isn't really correct, if you're gonna say that Sydney have won 5 premierships because South won 3, then just say that Brisbane have won 11 because they won 8 as Fitzroy and 3 as Brisbane, and if you're gonna count all the premierships the Victorian teams won in the VFL then you've gotta count the premierships that port won in the SANFL, and the Premierships that Freo won in the WAFL.

If you are going to count VFL flags as AFL ones, then you need to include SANFL for Port. So thats 36 flags for Port Adelaide, obviously the greatest club in Australia!

You should have mentioned that port won a fucktonne of SANFL premierships. But then also explained that no one cares about the SANFL.

I love how you made mention of Fitzroy and didn't add their 8 premierships to Brisbanes 3 (which should be 11 Premierships), Yet you mentioned South Melbourne as well and then proceeded to add their 3 Premierships to Sydneys 2 (making it 5), Both Clubs merged. Fitzroy wasn't so lucky as such though due to their financial debt - Up the Tigers
