I don’t really see why they’d be that much higher then Kuki considering Kuki has higher ST dmg then XL. (Unless you vertically invest the shit out of your vapes in a real team, but I doubt Zajef ranks units based off such potential)
It's okay bro, I 90'd Yun Jin in hopes that I'll use her with Wanderer or someone, and it has yet to even happen. I just gave up and gave her well-rolled CR/ER hat to my newly built Noelle to salvage that brilliant decision.
High priority to lvl 90: Characters that deal dmg and scale fully from HP/Def, and/or benefit a lot from it: Furina, Neuvilette, Yelan, Itto, Hu Tao, Noelle, etc Characters that trigger transformative reaction dmg such as Hyperbloom, Swirl, Burgeon, Bloom : Kuki Shinobu, Kazuha, Thoma, Venti, Sucrose, Nilou (alongside all her team members which might include Barbara/Kokomi/Yao Yao), etc Electro/Dendro characters that deal damage and trigger quicken/spread/aggravate: Nahida, Keqing, Alhaitam, Cyno, Fischl, Beidou, Yae Miko, Tighnari etc Characters that you main or use a lot in the overworld/abyss --- Mid-High Priority: Characters that give you buffs based on their Atk/Def/HP stats or base stats: Bennet, Yun Jin, Baizhu, Shenhe, Kujou Sara, Faruzan Hypercarriers or characters that deal tons of damage: Ayaka, Xiao, Wanderer, Raiden, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Eula, etc Characters that have split scalling or HP/Def scaling but dont deal a lot of dmg: Ayato, Zhongli, Albedo, Kokomi, etc --- Mid Priority: Healers and Shielders --- Low Priority: Characters that you don't use very often or that don't fall in any of the previous categories
Imagine if he titled the tiers so that they were descriptive at a glance. :D (I'd argue about Albedo's too low placement here because he definitely does way more damage than Zhongli tier and scales quite well in AoE, while the two mono-geo teams we have favor AoE anyway, but otherwise this is a great summary that deserves to make it to the top of the comment section for more people to see.)
If I would explain further: Fully scalling with HP/Def: you gain a lot more relevant stats than atk based characters from levelling up, and those characters will be insane if lvl 100 ever gets released. Transformative reaction damage: specially for characters that are fully loaded on EM, you lose a lot of dmg because it is calculated by the level of the character and their EM. For example: using a lvl 80 Kuki is the same as having a lvl 90 with 400 less EM on artifacts. Electro/Dendro: spread/aggravate is also calculated using levels. Main: just to kill things faster and have a little more survivability on your characters since you use them a lot. Mid-High: --- Buff characters: level them up to 90 once you don't have other high priority targets and you get to stack a lot of exp books, a little more buffing is always nice. Hypercarriers/Good dmg dealers: keep in mind that you might get more from levelling up (even if is just a little) than spending weeks worth of resin on artifacts when their artifacts are already somewhat decent and their talents are crowned. You also get to tank more if they have high on field time, reducing the stress of having to reset the abyss when you die. Split scalers: same reason as hypercarriers. --- Mid: Healers and Shielders: if you care about survivability or extra fanfare stacks, but otherwise you can just skip that and leave them at ascended lvl 80. I recommend it if you play on high ping or you are just bad at dodging.
@@fchrissandy Depends how much you fight in the overworld (Abyss/domain mobs give 0 exp), but an enemy's somewhere between 20-50 exp depending on size iirc, so that times 4 party members is 80-200 exp. If your average day is doing commissions, resin and a couple chests, let's assume you kill 20 small mobs (1.6k exp) and 10 big ones (2k exp). Total of 3.6k exp. A 20 resin leyline gives you 5+ purple books 100k+ exp, so 1 resin is worth 5k exp. Therefore, not leveling to 90 saves you around 5-6 min of resin timer per day. Not much, but if you wanna optimize then sure. :)
27:55 Kaveh's best team is probably when youre playing Nilou and Furina together because he's gonna face tank all the bloom dmg and hp drain without dying 😭
I love Kaveh enough to use him as a Nilou bloom driver, but I can't deny that his kit is mediocre. Even so, idk how Zajef can claim Kaveh has no good teams after admitting Candace is "fairly decent" with Nilou.
@@ziebus904 I have, he doesn't really feel good in either. For quicken his numbers are too low (I'm aware with higher investment he'd do better but why bother with an alhaitham with similar investment does way more). For bloom he's better, it's nice having him self heal and all but when you switch off to cast your other skills your other teammates still take damage, you can still get away with no healer but i find it way more comfortable to on field nahida instead and heal her because his attacks are too slow for my taste Edit: i just noticed you mentioned hyperbloom not bloom lol. I have not but assume you play double dendro (since his dendro ap is nowhere near enough) i guess that could work fine with a few of the same issues (slow attacks, he's just getting carried by the other 3), but I'll try it actually! Sounds like it could work
Crazy part is half the units in the giant tier at the bottom get more out of 90 than Bennett, XQ and XL do. Bennett gets exactly 10 base atk out of it.
Bruh, Baizhu is HP scaling and boosts HP each level. Yes, you want to level him to 90 so you can put some EM on him for driving reactions, his dendro reaction buff also scales off his HP. He's extremely versatile.
I have such an excess of resources that if I actually use a character I take them up to level 90. They stay 70/80 if I don't use them just for the free wishes lol.
As someone who has a lvl 90 Ayato who has been considering if i wanted to pull for Nilou; Thank you for the heads up, didn't even think of using him for her teams
If you're a day-1 player like me, there is literally nothing less to do. You have to spend your resin. I have more than 35 fully leveled characters (lv90 + weapon lv90 + relevant talents at 9/12 with all the available crowns used so lots of talents at 10/13 + their BiS set with good stats). This tier list may be useful if you are a new player or if you're so casual that you don't even use your resin (and I have took 2 several months break from the game, I'd have way more maxed chars if I played non-stop)
I found that leveling Zhongli from 80 to 90 did help alot with keeping his shield up. I'm also in the midst of crowning his skill. And I'm trying to slap some more HP% on him. He was Lv80 with untouched talents for the longest time and that worked to some degree but I feel like enemies are hitting harder these days, so I felt the need to invest some more.
@@ToeKat922I checked my Hu Tao in Genshin Optimizer with full buffs, Homa, Yelan, Xingiu, c6 Toma crits 75%/243%, 409 em, 28k hp. Average damage with hold attack: 80/90 666 - 50624, 80/90 999 - 66497, 90 666 - 52592. So talents give 31,4%, lvl gives 3,9%. If your Hu Tao has more hp% subs lvl will give you 5~8%. As expected.

As someone who lvled 36 characters to lvl 90 I think they were all worth it. I usually lvl all event 5*, just because I've used my primos on them, I also lvled Jean, Mona, Dehya and Tighnari to 90. I lvl 4* if I really like them (like Beidou, Kaeya, Lynette, Kaveh, Candace, Diona, Kuki, Rosaria) or they are just very useful (Xingqiu, OPPA, Bennett, Fischl, Sucrose, Yaoyao).
As someone who never leveled a character higher than 80/90, I don't think there are any who need a 90 lvl. I have 36 stars in Abyss anyway, so why waste resources?
as someone who enjoys seeing 6/6 ascension and 90/90 i have 34 lvl 90 characters and i plan to ascend like 10 more. after all, I'm at the point where I can clear abyss every time pretty easily.

Doesn't the LvL of Venti is linked to the LvL of the mob he can trap in the vortex? Also, for the other reactions for transformative (Vape and Melt), doesn't the LvL is also important and give higher Dmg? (For Ganyu Melt because she Melt every hits, but also Yoimiya, Yanfei, Childe, etc...) ? (Edit: No, it doesn’t)
vape and melt are not transformative reactions, and do not scale off character level, only transformative reactions do (overload, superconduct, aggravate, spread, bloom, hyperbloom, burgeon)
I would like if we always at least Consider C1/2 on standard banner 5 stars, because while you might never see C0, you also almost always get random cons on Someone. C1 Dehya probably moves into “probably should but not that important”
When you are at AR 60, just put you most used units in lvl 90, for that point you don't struggle with mora and is more efficent than try to min max artifacts because RNG, that 5 to 8% is significant and the RNG makes an artifact can stole you that 5-8%.
When the Gigachads that Lvl 90 their Traveler get a broken Light element traveler, that day they will be rewarded for their commitment. (copium lv 88 traveler here)
Aloy agreed. If you wanna play her, keeping her at 80/90 shouldn't make a huge difference. It's more just getting her talents to triple Crowned is the most important part about the lvl 90 haha Its not gonna make a huge difference for Freeze or Melt. And she's not the trigger for Hyperfridgeloy. But at the end of the day, I'm happy about my lvl 90 triple Crowned Aloy.

So i want to level one to 90 there are kuki, xingqiu, mona, sara, yunjin, xiangling, mika the first 4 are 80 and last 3 are 60 and i was wondering who gets the most supporting benefits when going from 80 to 90 ? how much does mona and sara increase the damage when they go to 90 including talents max. Also i rarely use mika and yunjin so idk if i should level them
Shatter being a transformative reaction is so much bs, man. Nobody who cares about shatter uses EM, only physical or ATK scalers, or both. It should be an amplifying reaction just like vaporize and melt, increasing the DMG of the attack that triggers it. I bet it's the only reaction type they could change at this point of the game with zero complaints.
Isn't deleting everything in the overworld fun? I don't really miss the times when I just physically couldn't complete Inazuma & Enkanomiya time trials on AR 40 or something like that. It's a fun memory to have, but back then I almost lamented.
nah just put 1 shielder , 1 Off field Support (optional ),1 unleveled character you haven't pulled , and flex slot. that would be enough for most content to not feel too easy. but most enemies can one shot you tho once shield breaks.
idk if im missing someting but idg how candace is in the hyperbloom tier bc she needs to be 90 in the one viable team she has, but yaoyao isnt in the same tier when shes the one whos triggering blooms in that candace team??? idgi lol
Did he forget to count the talent with their proper level. I mean lv80 could only have max lv 8 talent and lv 11 if you got cons or am i missing the part when he input the number
You can fully ascend a character at level 80 i.e. talents can be fully maxed to lv.10/ 13. The point of the video just is, if you benefit more from leveling them up to 90.
Been playing since 1.0. Zero lvl 90 characters. I have a bunch at 89 though. Can't waste that sweet mob xp, lol. Zhongli is getting close (about 80%) to 90 after 3 years of mob xp😂 Several characters that I left at 80 are now 81.
So if i play Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Yelan and Zhongli and all characters are at lvl 70, Xingqiu is the first priority to lvl 90 because he is in "should 90 because very good"? He deals the most dmg in the team?
That's not the conclusion you should get from this tierlist. In the beginning, he said that these aren't high-priority characters to level but rather that every account should level 90 them once they have the resources. I don't necessarily agree with that, but it's important to know the context before critiquing the tierlist. I'm not good at explaining, but I hope you got what I meant.
Hu Tao first, she is your primary damage dealer, then Yelan. Yelan first is okay too. Both of them gain a reasonable amount from lvl90. Xingqiu doesn't gain much from lvl90, but Xingqiu is someone, who is so useful you will end up using him constantly. that is the sole reason, He will be used often, but what he gets from lvl90 is meh. so only lvl him to 90 once you have the ressources, eventually, but take your time leave zhongli at ascended 80
@@GruntSquad92 90'ing Zhongli is imo useful later on, when you have the resources to use his higher level to offset a more supporting build, like 4pc Instructor + Fav Lance, without the risk of his shield breaking. Not sure about this specific team, since Hu Tao can get a lot of natural dodging weaved into her combos, but it's definitely a thing to consider when you find yourself losing your shield in high-damage Abyss chambers or if you also play Zhongli in more stationary teams that can't afford to dodge like vape Yoi or melt Ganyu.

Every character is worth getting to 90, just for qol upping their hp and def. Sure there’s priority on which character to get there first, but i would not want any of my characters build to be stuck on 80 looking back inhindsight
Yellow tier is more like want rather than need. The bottom tier is specifically for characters where leveling them to 90 is basically just throwing books away.
That's not really what he said. What this list is about is how important it is to 90 the character IF and only if you are playing them. The tierlist isn't 'who should u 90' but rather 'which characters gain the most benefits from leveling them to 90'
