The counter issue is because you're using the wrong counter pieces on the edge. The square ones are designed to clip back against walls whilst the more rounded outward jutting ones are meant for open counters.

Clare, just so you know - the ovens were flickering because you’re meant to delete the counters and put the ovens in rather than put the oven in the counter :)

I feel like personally, the no cc house is better, the cc house has got some good things that I like better but it’s way too cluttered (no hate, personal preference), The no CC house is easier to look at, the CC house is a bit confusing, also it wasn’t really fair considering the difference in colors between both houses but still... really nice 👍🏻

I think Clare is so talented and I wish she would do more Maxis builds when she does do builds so we can download them. She really does have a unique style, even when she builds and decorates with no cc.

Claire, for the “strip” you need between doors (which I also need) you can use the small flat fences that came with strangerville or get to work, that’s what I do 😊

If you want a seam in between rooms use the thin floor light strip from the ‘pool accessory’ section! That’s what I do and it works really well! 🌟

The counter glitch: This happens when a counter is attached to a wall. When a counter isn't attached to a wall, it becomes weirdly thicker

CLARE! the reason your counters do that is because you are using the inner corner one rather than the outer corner which is made to line up with the other counters. please like so Clare will see!

let’s be honest. clare is an amazing builder so we already knew both houses would turn out looking great, but the maxis house definitely won.

The counters you used above the other counters on the non-Cc build are normally to put on the ground but I loved how you did it! ♡ I will have to test it!

to fix the part of the counters that are uneven don't put a corner counter, and use island counters all facing outwards in a line. It gets rid of the problem, and you can put barstools for your sims to eat at!

The way I usually get around the issue with the kitchen is just don't use a corner piece if you want it to connect to a part that isnt touching a wall. Use two of the regular pieces, one against the wall and one going across where you want to connect the other piece. I don't know if I explained that well or if anyone else has commented that but it's how I fix it

Clare: The reason your kitchen counters in the NON CC house do not have matching upper cabinets is because it was designed to make an “outdoor kitchen” and usually only has counter space around the grill. Love the way the both houses came out!!!!

Clare there is a light from the spa pack that is placed on the floor, I use it as a floor divider. Hope it helps💕💕

maxis CAS is trash but a lot of maxis build/buy mode items are actually amazing. you should use non cc items more in your builds.

Clare the reason there is not a matching Cabinet to the counters is because it is supposed to be like an outdoor kitchen and that is also why it is brick

If you want to have a line in between two different floors just use the fence from get to work❤️❤️
