I LOVE the thumper in 2021. If regular foot steps attack a worm a small thumper would be all that is needed. It also aligns with the Freman keeping as much to a minimum as possible.
Lynch's movie isn't the book, and it struggles to even be a Lynch film. But it gets my respect for being truly ALIEN--it doesn't feel like any other science fiction world.
I watched the three adaptations, and I prefer the 2000's one... 2021's version win in aesthetics and visual effects, but lose in acting, specially in the Paul Atreides role... I really can't take seriously the acting of Timothée Chalamet, as it seems than Paul Atreides is stoned for most of the movie...
